Beautiful job! I guess the mandolin family terminology is very confusing if you try to compare N. America and Europe. Your instrument is the size of an American octave mandolin (20 inch scale?) but appears to be in typical (USA) mandola tuning (a 5th below the mandolin?). Anyway it sounds great and your picking is outstanding! That is a tune I need to add to my list! Stars*****
Isn't that a mandolin? I thought mandolas were between the size of a mandolin and a mandocello.

It IS between a mandolin and a mandocello in size. It is a tenor mandola tuned ADGC.

Did you have to change strings when you went to Octave tuning, if so, what gauges did you switch to? Thanks!

Hmm sounds more like a hornpipe than a jig. Sounds good though!

Fun to hear this rare Swedish mandola. Thanks. It even makes your song sound Swedish.

I just sold it. Levin is good copies of Gibson instruments. But Gibsons are better.
