Maybe next time make the front and rear (around the trucks) a bit narrower? Would help with the wheelbite issues. But I'm sure you already figured that out.
whoa shit this dude knows what hes doin alright i just made my first longboard it turned out 2 b sick and were did u get a lush board those r hard 2 find.
nice dude but I had the unfortunate experience to learn what fiberglass splinters feel like down in a man's unmentionables so just some advice for next time...wear gloves when cutting off the excess fiber glass
great video im makeing mines but i would like to know do you wait until the resin dries with the fiberglass and then you add another coat? or just add coat after coat?
Hey great vid but can you tell me how long it is and how wide it is thank you and another thing 0:21 How did you make that not the longboard but the press wide like that i see its a block of wood with an smaller wood on it ? pleas tell me because i want to make him two
how did you know how big and what dimensions to make the holes for the drop through mount? I'm thinking about trying to make my first drop through and i have no idea how to make that hole aha
@Drimbz if you have randals, or some other truck with the little triangles on the baseplate, measure how wide the part of the baseplate that the kingpin goes through, then measure how long it is, cut the hole, and saw some slits in for the triangles. Start out small and work it slowly.
@Drimbz Hey there!! i knoW howwww ... GO TO THE RANDALS trucks website... They have a Drop thru template for boards:)... its Awesomeeee, also im part of a sk8 team that is skating across the USA, i have a few bombing vids, but i will have a bunch when we skate from oregon to new york in about 6 weeks, we will be leaving :) so check us out
@Drimbz theres many templates on the internet with many cut outs and all the dimensions in inches and mm. just type in longboard template into google images, u should find a few
@Drimbz Measure where the holes to attach the trucks to and measure, from the innermost part of the hole, 3 mm inward toward the center of the longboard and put a mark there. do this next to all the holes. then drag some lines between the dots and draw out how you want the large hole. then cut out with this drill and jigsaw and you have a drop-through design longboard! :)
@ChickenBoob571 usually you use 4 plies of 1/8 inch plywood for this, not individual sheets. you should be able to find it at a specialty wood store somewhere! home depot would never carry it though
dude you are my hero nice video loved your result i got 2 question how much did this project cost to make, and how long was the time process to make the board?
hmm, that's a very simple, yet effective way of pressing concave. You could modify it to press in some camber as well by adding curved rails to the press and screwing into that. I may have to try that...
Been admiring this vid for a while, excellent technique would you mind if i asked what the height and width of the two boards you used to make the drilling platform for the concave?
Fuck that is poop
