She knows these shoes are way too expensive for 99% of her viewers. Shes clearly not doing them for us. Shes doing them for herself. I dont have a problem with that. I just have a problem with the fact that shes adversiting them to us in order to get us to go to the website and get more traffic for them, knowing we cant afford to actually buy the shoes we make. Make a 2nd channel. Put this there.

I wish people wouldn't get so self-righteous about using leather. I eat meat and there's nothing wrong with that. Humans are omnivores, we're meant to eat everything to live. If I'm eating the meat, I might as well use the leather too. Waste not, what not. There's nothing morally superior about eating or not eating meat.

Also, with all of this moral crusading going around, maybe we should all consider whether or not we're perfect examples of morality. For example do you (I'm being sarcastic): 1. worship God, 2. recycle, 3. not spank our children, 4. not eat meat, 5. donate to charity, 6. not make fun of other people, 7. engage in only heterosexual relationships, 8. not wear real fur, 9. not wear faux fur or it could contribute to the wearing of real fur, 10. pretend we're not rich in order to not show off.
First of all, humans are no more cruel than other animals that eat meat. I don't think lions are barbaric for eating a human being or other animal that is on the food chain. As for as killing animals for clothing, I don't see anything wrong with that, since if I'm not wearing it I don't care. If you choose to wear fur, its on your body not mines. There is nothing scientific that says that not eating animals is a more compassionate lifestyle than any other.

@moshi1231 I always check the labels of anything I buy, including my sneakers, to make sure that no animals had to die for my clothes, shoes, etc. The only reason animals are overpopulated is because they are "mass produced" so people can eat them. Get your facts right before you say something like this! You can't say you love animals while your eating one!
Wholeheartedly agree with kristinatsai. I've been trying to swear off fur,faux fur,faux leather,snakeskin etc and I definitely won't be trying this. I don't hate Julie for using this but really this is something I don't want to be encouraging.
@xPinkTeddy, faux fur= FAKE. It is commercially produced in a factory, they are made out of synthetic hairs. Meaning that no animals are used in the process. If someone wants to wear fur or any kind, faux fur feels and looks like the real thing and is much cheaper so I don't know why anyone would pick the real crap over it.
How could she do that? I would love to show her how good the animals (in this case snakes) are being treated :(

i'm not understanding why everyone's is insisting that these are made of FAUX snakeskin when the website clearly states that it is "GENUINE" snakeskin...if i'm missing something or have mistaken what the word "genuine" means then please, let me know. but what i'm seeing is that these are real animal skin...

You're shoes are beautiful, Julie. I'm not one for snake skin (or fish), but I like the leather detailing.
Stores like this will always be a controversy. I believe it is the individual's choice on whether they purchase from this store, just like it is an individual's choice whether to purchase fur or eat meat. People need to realize this is a personal choice; as a personal choice, we need to respect her choice. She chooses to wear different leathers. Maybe you don't. Please respect that.

People know some animals are "abused", but it's their choice to buy and eat what they want, not yours to criticize them. They're not killing animals, nor would they ever go out and cage and kill. a lot of shoes are made of leather...i lov animals too but you have to realize that "faux" doesnt mean the best of quality...plus im sure something you have was made from an animal and you dont realize it...like sneakers...also sometimes you actaully have to kill animas so they dont overpopulate and take us over...basically all im saying is dont hate on her for using real leather...

@moshi1231 I always check the labels of anything I buy, including my sneakers, to make sure that no animals had to die for my clothes, shoes, etc. The only reason animals are overpopulated is because they are "mass produced" so people can eat them. Get your facts right before you say something like this! You can't say you love animals while your eating one!

@xPinkTeddy, faux fur= FAKE. It is commercially produced in a factory, they are made out of synthetic hairs. Meaning that no animals are used in the process. If someone wants to wear fur or any kind, faux fur feels and looks like the real thing and is much cheaper so I don't know why anyone would pick the real crap over it.
