Not 1% watching this will recognize fingering fretted notes behind the slide...
BUT I AM THAT 1% - very cool to hear.
I have played guitars, bass and mandolin for 40 years and I always minimize the importance of slide JUST BECAUSE I CAN'T DO IT (or never took the time to learn.)
You have a very tasty Fender resonator instrument there too, very tasty.
I LOVE your video and that song -- just love Lowell George and Little Feat anyway -- I just saw them in Little Rock,AR 2 weeks ago -- STILL LOVE THEM!!! hey TEACH ME TO PLAY LIKE THAT!!!! -- lol
Yeah think about it. Some of the best music ever written was recorded sounds like it was recorded with some dollar store tape recorder from across the room. Its good and genuine. We love that kind of music around here. Keep playin buddy :)
Thanks for your encouraging words! I've only been singing along with my playing a little over a year. Don't feel like I'm quite where I need to be comfort-wise when singing yet, so I probably hold back because of that. And yes, it is a Fender reso.
That little lick you do at 01:37 is pure magic. Nice job.

EXCELLENT! cover of Mr. George. Who really cares about the voice man, you make up for any vocal abilities in your playing on the guitar. Well done!

Not bad! I think you were holding back. Is that a Fender reso? One of the better versions of "Willin" on youtube and I've seen them all.
