i dont quite get this: if the the models/animation/FX are only for cutscene purposes why are they so awful/sub par? I'm assuming the glass, bottle and liquid are not in the game engine neither would i think the character models to that extend are, then why however does it look game engine optimized and and rendered? pls let me know if i'm missing something

@SamAnonaB Probably to reduce costs for game development. I mean the original announcement trailer (where it showed Tydus getting the armor) costed millions of dollars to make. Imagine that all throughout the 32-mission campaign. It would be extremely expensive and not quite cost-effective, unless they sell the game for like 150 dollars. Also to keep the space down to a minimum. With awesome cutting-edge cinematics, you're looking at a game that takes up more than 1 Terabyte of space

1.) if a full HD Movie with the length of avatar can be compressed to below 12gigs, then surely the cutscenes of this game dont require a Terabyte. =)

2.) if the cinematics are just movie files, the meshes dont need to be optimised for space saving.

3.) I just watched the announce, there's no way that the production cost millions. maybe that was the marketing budget, but there's no way the cost of those 2 minutes was anywhere near the 1 million mark.

lol I laughed when the guys mask went up and it showed him smoking. Because it must be little cloudy in his with all of that smoke flying around. in other words he would've died.
