I went there in 08 :) Definately a good place to go , Best hotel is Sofitel Karnak Luxor, that is amazing , but don't go on the 'concrete' slide (feels like it)! I smashed my two front teeth out on it when I was 11 , adult ones as well .So now I have caps , and now you know not to go on that dodgy fucking slide!!xD(p.s im 12 now)
great stuff, when I was in Luxor it was mid june and the temp was above 100 degrees , Had a wonderful time as Im sure you did also, looking forward to returning to Egypt soon
cairo was always so busy- i loved the temples in luxor but for me the pyramids in cairo and giza were a disappointement :(
thats my views- any1 who is going to egypt- there is no need to spend longer than 3 days in egypt- one for the pyramids, one for cairo mueseum (a must see) and a day to visit the back alleys and shops :) spend the rest of your time on a cruise! and in luxor! there was a nice cruise i went on called the lady mary- i recommend it :D

i was there, i spent a magical one day in luxor before going to cairo. i prefer luxor by miles.
