Besides these TVs are outdated, don't work without cable and most have been replaced by eco-friendly LCD TVs which don't need a cable signal to receive off-the-air channels. Trust us, most of the old electronics we dispose of wind up in the landfill whether on not You destroy them on Your own.

Those metals are hazardous, but only lead is used in a CRT. MAYBE one of the others has a chemical compound that exists that's used as a phosphor that's on the screen, but it's not necessarily hazardous. You'd have to be a chemist to know that. So stop trying to scare people away from good fun. SHEESH!
