    I'm against the filter too but even if it does go ahead it's no where near as bad as China's filter and as Australians we don't actually have a right to free speech. We are If memory serves me correct 1 of 2 non-communist countries that haven't adopted the U.N.s law to right to free speech.

    I think we should oppose the filter but at the same time call on the government for an actual right to free speech.

    The main problem with the Black List is:

    What happens when governments change?

    Whats to stop them from adding what ever they want to down the track?

    Whats to stop them making changes to the law in a sense of adding more?

    At the moment I have no faith in the government. The whole Internet Censorship Saga was a big part in it but what the hell are they doing? Yes lets do some the people will hate that'll get us votes lol

    I agree whole refused classification is really stupid and not just in terms of there's no clear definition. A violent game can be RC'd but a violent movie will just be rated MA15+ or R18+. It's easier for kids to sneak in or get adults to get them into movies like that.
