Try actually listening and interpreting the lyrics you are listening to; that is the point of him writing this song- to reach the ignorance that is so prevalent in society today.

Good Lord thank you for giving me a glimmer of hope that there are other people out there who can think beyond the surface.

So rarely does anyone actually interpret songs for their true meaning. I'd be so frustrated if I were a musician and all people could talk about was what genre I fit into and who else I sound like. The true art usually gets completely overlooked.

But it's good to see someone else who gets it. Thank you.

I mean yeah... they're lyrics are great and all but the musicianship is very lackluster compared to they're old stuff, I mean I could play the guitar parts on this song while stoned, drunk, and high on pills, and thats pretty pathetic lol...

technical ability does not equal being a good musician. Two entirely different things. This is probably one of the best songs in all of Thrice's discography and that says A LOT!
