Personally I don't think applying foundation is a bad thing- As long as you wash your hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap before doing so (and afterwards of course). I have brushes but I prefer to apply my foundation with clean hands because the warmth from my hands seems to help with the application, versus using a brush. Sometimes I use a brush, then clean hands to blend it further, or just clean hands (skip the brush). Just my person opinion :)

If you wash your hands before you apply your foundation with you fingers it's probably a lot more sanitary than using a brush.

Thunk about this: Even if you wash your foundation brush every single day, it still takes several hours to dry. That gives bacteria a bigger window to stick on to a brush than the few seconds after you wash your hands.

I use W1 in this foundation. It's the only foundation I've found that matched my skin tone. It doesn't last super long on it's own, but with a setting spray (I like Urban Decay) that's not a problem.

I love this foundation! But I find that it doesn't come off as easy if I use the studio secrets primer first and then set the foundation with the hydra perfecte translucent powder. The anti-redness primer is the way to go if you have redness from allergies like me or acne! It gives me a pretty flawless look and doesn't feel or look caked at all! =)

i use the revlon colorstay foundation, its cakey but i love that it doesnt come off, but after watching you apply this foundation and seeing it cover pretty much everything, and the fact that i have really red skin, makes me want to get this foundation instead! i'll try it out, thanks for the review :)

@lickthefoot340 I applied the foundation with a brush. I put the foundation on my hand first so that I could ACTUALLY ACCESS IT and it also slightly warms the foundation up enough to increase the stickiness therefore making it last longer.

Something along those lines.

In any case, it's entirely different from applying it with my fingertips.
