  • Man, this never gets old... brings back the good days of Cartoon Network (back when it was worth watching)

  • What was the show at 4:08? I remember watching it when I was a kid, but its name escapes me...

  • @117Jorn ReBoot, the first half-hour fully computer generated show on television.

  • Wow does this take me back. I actually got CN just before toonami aired. It really introduced me to anime. Such good times. When CN was great. Thanks for letting me relive a piece of my childhood.

  • @elementdragon Glad you liked it. :D

  • i feel like i could cry all my favorite shoes before i hated f*****g cartoonetwork yu yu hakusho G gundam Transformers dragonball kenshin samuria jack and more what happened to carttonnetwork!!!

  • im not gonna cry, im not gonna cry im not gonna cry, i gonna cry this my child hood and i miss it

  • i totally agree with marioMan2010, they never should have taken toonami off in the first place, that was one of the biggest mistakes they ever made. One day they will pay for it and i'll just sit back and laugh my rear end off!! Lol.

  • To who ever made this video, thank you for reminding me of how great old toonami was as well as cartoon network in general, and thak you for keeeping it alive.

  • @0530ta Glad you liked it!

  • i miss toonami i was actually sad as a kid when it went off the air :(

  • all the Toonami fans should get together into a giant mob, march all the way to CN HQ and charge the building while playing this song!

  • 4:09 Dude! I remember this one! I can't remember the name though!

  • @MarioMan2010 ReBoot, Shout Factory actually re-released it on DVD just a few months ago if you want to get your hands on it.

  • I did not know that Bakugon was on toonami

  • @MetaLHeade666 Yeah, just for a little while near the end.

  • ...Memories...its full of memories....They should have sent a poet

  • I miss Toonami it was my first source of anime....it 's what got me into it... T-T Damn CN Bastards

  • @ziggozain333 Same here man. It will be missed but there is a site called toonamiaftermath, com if you need your anime/Toonami fix

  • i saw no Code Lyoko. i'm sad that nobody gave that a thought

  • @Yoko0708 I love Code Lyoko. But it was never on Toonami. Code Lyoko ran on Miguzi.

  • God this stuff was, still is,and will always be the shit.I just wanna tell the new CEO to go fuck himself then break his nose for damning this new generation to the pits of ignorance with retarded ass shows

  • thank you for making this awesome vid, it is a shame that kids today won't know what Toonami is. In my opinion Toonami was the best block ever and I thank you!!!

  • @MetaLHeade666 You're welcome. :3 It is a shame, but maybe we can make something like Toonami happen again in the future!

  • @TheGameNinja I think that Cartoon Network should re-upload the site Toonami Jetstream, what are your thoughts

  • @MetaLHeade666 It would be cool, but I doubt they would do it. Jetstream was a joint venture between CN and Viz, and Viz has their own video site now.

  • @TheGameNinja what is the site called

  • @MetaLHeade666 vizanime(dot)com

  • Cant thank you enough for this, words defy the sheer legendary state of this video

  • IS NEO-TOONAMI STRONG AS IT WAS??? CAN TOM FINISH OFF THE CEO OF CARTOON NETWORK!!!! come back next time to find out what happens!!!

  • Who wants to pay the CEO of CN a little visit

  • What was the show that started at 5:20 I LOVED IT! AHHH

  • @FluffyPANZER Tenchi Muyo!

  • The epicness has blinded me!

  • Toonami Forever.

  • 0:00 Goosebumps.

    0:48 tears.

  • After hearing the motivational speach at the end I had to look back at my life, And the only thing I regret to this day still is never finding my dream, I look back at my life so far and see no goal, no dream, no drive, and i regret every moment of it, I simply float, in the see of life, no direction of my own, simply taken by the currents of time and life to drift.

  • Still love the "Bang" At the end of the video, when Tom flies off. Gotta love steve for referencing Cowboy bebop there.

  • Damn I forgot how much I loved this song back in my metal days.

  • i remember EVERY SINGLE show featured in this vid

10 minutes of pure EPIC NOSTALGIA!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @SuperEpicism They are all listed in the credits. :P And, yes, Ben 10: Alien Force was one of the shows on Toonami when it ended.

  • @TheGameNinja one thing i didn't know was that powerpuff girls was on toonami at any point....

  • @SuperEpicism Yep, it was the only Cartoon Cartoon that was ever on Toonami.

  • This takes me back to when I was a child. Thank you, I'd forgotten about a good amount of these shows, and because of you, I'm watching old shows like Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, G Gundam, etc. My fiance have actually gone out and bought the boxed seasons for a lot of these cartoons so that our children can watch good cartoon shows instead of the crap that they have on now. Thank you so much, and this video is amazing, very well done and a great testament to the childhood we all once had.

  • @RacoosinMuse Wow, thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. :)

  • what was the show at 4:30?! i completely forget but i loved it!

  • @RobMcGarry0326 Ronin Warriors! I actually have some old toys from the... week it was popular. XD

  • @silverbee221 Super Hero Squad is decent. It's meant for little kids, anyway. But Johnny Test is one of the worst shows on television.

  • they should remake Toonami like boomerang with the most bad ass and awsome anime shows, where the dumb producers from cartoon network who cancelled it can't hurt it. Good shows are practically an endangered species and cartoon network is no place for them now

  • what are the anime at 5:52? and 5:36

  • @BlazinDragon525 The first was Outlaw Star and the second was one of the three Tenchi series Toonami aired.

  • @TheGameNinja thnx my childhood had so many anime i forgot most of them >^-^<

  • @BlazinDragon525 No problem. :3

  • @JaridPerkins218 huh? :/

  • im gonna miss these guys if it werent for them my gundam journy would never have started

  • I LOVE THIS, gonna watch all of them again.

  • BEAST WARS FTW!!

  • I can name every anime shown here. That proves I am such a child of the 90's and of Toonami. This is a wonderful video, thank you so much for making me cry and reminding me of my childhood when I could actually watch Cartoon Network <3

  • Dragon Ball Z needs to be put back on all cartoon channels, instead of the crap they have on now.....

  • I only have 2 Synchros. And that's only because they came free in something else, like Shonen Jump. I don't really like them very much.

  • @TheGameNinja What, Synchros in general, or those particular ones? If you hate synchros in general, I've got two words for you: Colossal. Fighter.

One seriously amazing card. Didn't think much of synchros either- until I got my hands on that bad boy.

  • @thenightmarebeforeha I stopped buying cards years ago, so I haven't got many tuners. The new cards I do get, I trade for. So, I don't use them much since I can't use them much. One I have is Dark End Dragon. I can't remember the other. My main decks are a Dragon deck and a Gravekeeper's deck.

  • DAMN YOU CARTOON NETWORK!! DAMN YOU TO HELL!!!!! How dare you take off your best block!

  • i just had a WTF NOSTALGIC MOMENT o.o best show lineup of all time ever.. hands down, no questions asked.. the only real reason i flicked on CN everyday after school/weekends

  • @dragonkillaga I agree it was the best but CN had to kill their best line up! What a bunch of assholes!

  • "Bang."

  • Dude you are a fucking god!! Long live Tom and Toonami!!

  • Yu-Gi-Oh! F.T.W. :D

  • @CardShowOff Which version? because the Original is FTW!!!!!

  • @MetaLHeade666 Original owns the others but 5DS has a watchable storyline.

  • @CardShowOff every episode up to the final episode of the first domino city were the best. I kind of like 5D's but I hate how they replaced the fusion with synchro shit, other wise it does have a good storyline

  • @MetaLHeade666 Eh, i play the trading card game and synchros are alright.

  • @CardShowOff I play the card game as well i just prefer the fusions better it gives me more of a challenge to get the right cards for a fusion

  • @MetaLHeade666 yeah but it's easier to get powerful monsters on the field with synchro summoning, and to achieve the true challenge of defeating your opponent.

  • Bookmarked, renamed "things that I need to find."

  • @Pence128 I'm trying to collect as many DVDs of shows that were on Toonami. I'd like to get some of the merchandise, too. Like the watches, CDs, and those rare t-shirts. :3

  • does 0:04 - 0:13 remind anyone else of spaceballs?

  • This is where my journey for anime started :D

  • @obeliskofra1 Me too. :D

  • @TheGameNinja-Me three :D

  • @obeliskofra1 Not many good Anime is left. Atleast, not on CN.

  • @encfam lol who watches cartoon network anymore ?(i dont even watch tv no more thats how bad it is)

  • @obeliskofra1 I'm pretty much the same. I still watch a LITTLE bit of adult swim here and there or comedy central or even TBS. But other than that the only reason I can find to watch tv is the weather forecast.

  • @encfam naa i watch my anime subbed online, i even see the earth's mighties heroes online,Everything is online eventually TV will be broadcast online.

  • @obeliskofra1 TV is more likely to bring in new anime fans because only people that already like anime will go to a site like Crunchyroll. And TV will always be around. It may change, but it will always be around. That's like saying that physical media is going to go away just because you can get most things digitally.

  • @obeliskofra1 Oh, and I watch most of my anime dubbed. :P

  • @obeliskofra1 Yup, and in which case, if someone doesn't have a computer, they are screwed and the TV will be completely obsolete.

  • @obeliskofra1 sam here bro

  • @obeliskofra1 This is Where the Journey into Anime Began for so many of us teaching us that there was a bigger world a bigger universe than we dared dream before and to think that the portal that once freed so many minds is now gone is a great and terrible tragedy

  • -sighs- I feel bad when I have kids, they are not goin to be able to look back on their childhood and remember Toonami.

  • i never really understood this? why was toonami canceld exactly? I mean, i loved his little reviews he had on EVERY movie, as if he watches them nonstop like we all do. And the little toonami movies they had of himself as a comericial. Then also the variety of cartoons/anime that was on toonami. Way better than niktoons or cartoonnetwork shit.

  • @jakeboston1 Because the new guy that is in charge of CN is an idiot. He's also responsible for the live action stuff.

  • @TheGameNinja Gay? Why would someone cancel the most watched show by teenagers and kids? Almost every single guy at my school, were like WHAT THE FUCK! So im sure, prep, nerd, goth, adult, kid, dog, it dosnt matter, a vast majority of people watch toonami.

  • @jakeboston1-Dude, let him say shit. He's just a fool who when was a kid wasn't allowed to watch tv because his mommy didn't want him to have a bomb ass childhood like we, the ones who grew up watching Toonami. I'll tell you this, the day is was over. I felt like a great part of my chilhood died. It hurt, but really. Toonami will never die. Not as long like us keep it alive. This guy is just butt hurt he didn't get to enjoy something great like us :D.

  • @RJAfterlife89 ahmen bud, i wont to take all my paychecks from my crumby job to put into a Tom-bank and pay for a tv channel JUST for toonami.

  • @jakeboston1-Aye as would I my friend as would I.

  • @TheGameNinja i agree with you, i mean its really stupid for CN to cancle this, this was the best. you know when i was young i used to wait every friday and saterday for toonami and now is cancle, man this stinks

  • @jakeboston1 because american animation was dying or still pretty bad aside from avatar the last air bender.

  • heeee. memories. thanks for the vid bro. made my day.

  • Do you know what movie 1:56 is? I remember that being such a sick movie when I watched it 10 years ago.

  • @MattCielo Blue Submarine No. 6. It's actually not a movie, but there are only 3 episodes, so... yeah. :P

  • This video...was a huge blast from the past.

  • what

  • ahh i miss that little guy.

  • what is 6:26

  • @pen1789 IGPX

  • @pen1789 The one with the robots? IGPX

  • ATTENTION EVERYONE:

    TOONAMI HAS BEEN REVIVED!

Type in "Toonami Aftermath" into the youtube search engine, and look for the channel. Trust me! I am not making this shit up! I've seen it!

  • @117Jorn Yeah, yeah, we all know about it. But it isn't official and it's not on TV. I might as well just watch my DVDs. It's a cool little thing, but it's not the same and we all know it. And please don't advertise stuff on my videos.

  • what is 6:40

  • @pen1789 I think you mean Cyborg 009.

  • I keep watching this again and again and find myself thinking, 11 years of my life that helped shape who I am, If Toonami hadn't existed I'd be so very very differant, as I'm sure most of you toonami faithful would be as well.

Toonami the block on cartoon network that was cartoon network, that made it what it was at first. May Toonami return one day or be recreated for a future generation so that they can see what we grew up having, Rest In Peace Toonami, the faithful will never forget

  • @Ninjaman9323 Yeah. This. :3

  • Oh my gosh... I cried at the end of this video just like how I cried at the end of Toonami's final broadcast. I loved it, and watched it ever since I can remember. I was just as sad when they removed Toonami Jetstream. I was on that site whenever Toonami wasn't on. I will never understand why they removed it, and started putting the worst shows ever imaginable. Thank you for this video. I appreciate it so much.

  • @scorpioryo01 You're welcome. Glad you liked it. :3

  • I used to watch the Toonami block religiously. So many good shows, so many good memories. It's so sad I can't go back.

  • what anime is it at 4:50?

  • @LECyr4 Blue Submarine No. 6

  • I have to say, the fact that the credits were long enough to place one of the best toonami pieces ever made, shows just how much power this block commanded.

  • @werewolfjedi38 And I had the credits scrolling as fast as the program would allow.

  • -Boy does this bring back memories... watching english gundam on tv every week. The feeling it gives cannot be beat.

    -Dragon Ball Z solo 3:03 - 3:40

  • @5598713 Of course. DBZ was the heart of the block. :3

  • Beautiful. Sounds cheesy when talking about a cartoon block with an awesome framing device but there you go.

  • So many memories flooding back.

    Nostalgia to the max!

  • Here lies Toonami 1997-2008 RIP

From the beginning to the end, from Molar to Tom 3.0, I was there. I'll stay gold to honor your memory and hope that one day this grievous error will be undone and you shall return to the faithful, but until that day I shall keep my memories of the good times we had.

  • @Phenominal222 There were 4 TOMs. :P

  • @TheGameNinja 4 Toms? I remember the first then Tom 2.0 then the one with the actual face when was the Tom inbetween?

  • @Phenominal222 TOM 1 was the pudgy little guy that took over after Moltar and was killed by the Intruder. TOM 2 took over for him and was destroyed in another event (which was online in comic form), except for his head. His head was placed on his new body, TOM3, which looked a lot like TOM 2 but was more muscular looking. And then TOM 4, the one with the face, came along out of nowhere near the end.

  • @TheGameNinja Ah well thank you for correcting me.

  • I remember when Beast Wars was on Toonami <3

  • Two words:

    Thank you.

  • @DragonmasterRontio You're welcome. :3

  • I only regret that I never really got to enjoy Toonami as a kid, mostly because all the stuff I wanted to see came on when the news was playing. That said, what I did manage to see holds a special place.

  • Cartoon Network & its executives can go to hell. Nickeloden & the other networks also. They tried to turn our childhood memories into a farce & failed. I look back on the shows I grew up and salute those animination staffs who put real effort into their work. I learned some much from the shows on Toonami and will never forget. As I grow up I realize that my children will never get to see much quality and art. Instead they will get brainrotting cartoons and made by whores just sell merchandise.

  • Why do I keep watching this?!

Oh, that's right, it's FUCKING AWESOME!!!

  • @thenightmarebeforeha Thanks. :D

  • This video is like a knee straight to the stomach full of nostalgia. In a good way.

I'd forgotten half the shows that they aired until i watched this. I knew i enjoyed it, but i couldnt have told you specifics.

Now i can remember watching episodes of Yu Yu hakusho, Tenchi, Gundam W. and being like "woah, thats so awesome!".

Even Sailor Moon. Since i was 8 at the time, i didnt really get the gender specific context. There were ppl w/ super powers, space was involved, i was happy.

    Thnx man

  • I had been scouring the interwebz trying to figure the name of Tenchi Muyo, and looking for the dubbed episodes. Nice to know that others remember it to.

for the record, i think Tenchi Muyo! and Tenchi Universe are alternate versions of the same story. Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-ohki is the seq. to the former, i think.

  • @Xevdas Yeah, you're right. Those two are alternates. I don't know where you can find it online, but like I've said before, FUNimation recently bought the rights to the franchise and will be releasing all of the old Tenchi series soon. I have the old DVDs, but if FUNi puts it out on Blu-ray, I'll be buying it.

  • @Xevdas No problem. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • So many memories... These were the shows that raised me and a lot of Generation Y as a kid, and I think I turned out okay.

I'm just worried about what kind of shows are raising the younger kids. Where will they learn the lessons of honor, if not from Gundam? Where will they learn the lessons of strength, if not from Dragonball? Where will they learn the lessons of friendship, if not from Yu Yu Hakusho? Where will they learn the lessons of kindness, if not from Ruoroni Kenshin?

  • @ZombieSlayer54 True. Especially the Rurouni Kenshin one. That show can teach you a lot.

  • Whoa ten whole min of freaking awsomness.

  • @sephirothsGuardian thanks!

  • @gamekatt101 The American anime industry as we know it today might not even be here if not for Toonami. FUNimation with Dragonball Z put anime on shelves it had never seen before and it actually sold.

With things the way they are now, if Toonami were to return (yes, I know it's next to impossible), we could see a renaissance of the American anime industry. That is, if they had a brand new show that managed to get very popular very fast. But, hey, they caught lightning in a bottle once already.

  • Sailor Moon, Reboot, Dragonball, Zoids, Tenchi, Rave Master, Kenshin,

These shows and more were just some of my favorites. I remember rushing home from school in second grade so I could watch the Sailor Scouts fight evil with their cool powers and those awesome talking cats! ^_^

*sighs* ...Even now, it's hard to believe it's gone. :( Love it or hate it, for us 90's kids, Toonami was truly the greatest thing on TV. I don't think the anime industry will ever be the same without it. -gamekatt101

  • @TheGameNinja Sorry, gamekatt101, I accidentally deleted your post. :(

  • @TheGameNinja I think funimation should buy all the rights and properties to toonami, and make a new channel out of it

they would become the #1 watched channel over night, if not faster.

I mean yeah, the anime network does fine work, but toonami, that's on a whole other scale.

  • @werewolfjedi38 Well, FUNimation already has a channel, so I don't think they'd go for it. Also, Anime Network doesn't have a real channel anymore, just on demand. But I would support someone buying the rights to Toonami. OF course, we have no clue if it would mean good or bad things for a different network to have it, but it's better than nothing. Literally.

  • @TheGameNinja they could add it to their channel, which would be nice.

    here's to hope

  • man, I am and always will be a big toonami fan. its the main reason i got into anime. will miss it forever. staying golden.

  • no not dual the show is called isekia no sikishi monogatari may have mispelled a bit but thats what the show is called its in a paralell world with giant not robots but their like machines yet are not made of metal their made of bone or something check it out its an okay show i think

  • @DeathSithe92 but, that show has 13 episodes and ended in March. :/

  • oh theirs also another Tenchi spin off this time with mecha and alternate worlds and its about his brother haha its only airing in japan right now on TV but i've seen up to episode 7 and its fricken funny/action packed haha Kenchi, Tenchi's brother is just like him and has the same problem, 6 women all have the hots....for him haha xD also this vid is EPIC!!

  • @DeathSithe92 You mean Dual? Dual is a mecha spin off of Tenchi, but its OLD XD

  • Man I remember every one of those shows especially Outlaw Star (got the box set dvd's), Sailor moon...yes I watched it, DBZ, and Gundam wing all of these shows got me interested in Anime and made me who I am today.

    -

So to TOM and all the guys of Toonami

from the fans of anime and awesome cartoons everywhere

    WE SALUTE YOU, HOOAHH *salutes*

    Mors inceptio solum est Toonami

  • @ComotoseOnAnime Ditto, to everything you said. :3

  • @TheGameNinja lemme guess you didn't know what Mors inceptio solum est means? it means "death is only the beginning" in latin

  • whats the show at 5:20?

  • @jakeboston1 Superman or Tenchi Muyo? I'm guessing Tenchi Muyo. XD

No one ever recognizes Tenchi. Almost every comment asking about a show is asking about Tenchi. XD

  • @TheGameNinja eh i use to watch it and um, wtf was it, like some kidna space outlaw thing or something like that, like cowboy bepbob but coooler. But i watched tenchi for ever, just forgot the name

  • @jakeboston1 you mean Outlaw Star? the best anime Toonami ever aired? XD

  • @TheGameNinja YES! shun me if you want, i just dont remember the names, i was like 8 when i watched them maybe? idfk, im 18 now, it seems like is been 15 years since i even heard of toonami

  • @TheGameNinja because Tenchi is the most epic show ever and everyone sees pics and clips and remembers it but no one remembers the name I mean it's been years since it aired here in the states

  • @Bigstevo101 well, just to help spread the word, FUNimation recently acquired the rights to the Tenchi franchise, and they'll be re-releasing all of them on DVD soon. :3

  • @TheGameNinja You have no idea how much you just made my day :3

  • Oh my god.... PowerPuff Girls.... LOL

i cant use my actual under 500 chars, so here's some famous things... I liked 0:00 - 10:00 , the part toonami was played...plus your TM. The one person who missed the like button needs to die in a hole and burn in hell.

  • @xSalashawty OH U

  • Shows that toonami aired that I loved: Gundam Wing G Gundam Gundam Seed YuYu Hakusho Dragonball Dragonball Z Mobile suit gundam 08th MS team Cyborg 009 Megas XLR Sailor moon (When I was VERY young before I noticed how much of a colosal mess it was) Neon Genisis Evangelion Naruto Batman Superman Thundar cats Batman Beyond Zoids Transformers Samurai Jack SD Gundam force YuGiOh Justice leauge Star wars Jackie chan Teen Titans bobobo Pokemon Month of miyazaki
