  • Do you realize that saying African American doesn't mean black skin?

  • I think one thing we do is we think that every black person should think the same in order to be unified. This is a fallacy because no two people will think or agree with the same premise of every issue. I think the Black generation of today's main fight is with US. I think we have turned into complete cowards. We let the white man, these so called gangsters, and pathetic bad influences place the community in fear. The fight begins at home really the fight begins with you and me .

  • In my humble opinion, either you African or American, you can't be both. I don't believe in intergrating with a 400 year old enemy. I what you going to talk about next, accepting interracial merriage. Black on black crime started off from white on black crime. How can you say black is beautiful and intergrate with white people? Ma'am,you can't worship two master. Why can't we do for ourselves. I'm racist because I love my black race regardless what you say. I stay black and die. RBG 4 life.

  • @Jialreland police profiling, police brutality, mass encarceration and overrepresentation in the prisons (>12% of population vs <60% of prison population), overrepresentation in special education (<35% of special ed in US), underrepresentation and discrimination in acedemia, misrepresentation in the media, the problems are internal AND external.

  • I think all racist groups start off innocent enough, but then they change into what we see now.

  • fuk this hoe, PRO BLAK NATION "UNITED URBAN NATION" UN7

  • White nationalism is cool too.

  • Black power!!! Fuck The honkys!!

  • I am pro black (and pro every race) but I'm not a black nationalist (or any racial nationalist). I see nothing wrong with different races having a community catering to their ppl's needs & cultures, bringing money back to their community but I don't agree w/ racism. One doesn't have to be a specific race to enjoy and understand the culture and traditions of another, something racial nationalists often claim.

  • @Shae77788 Like white people don't do anything you just said. People will always criticize blacks, no matter what. Typical self loathing black fool.

  • u mulatto???

  • All these conspiracy theories and all these talks about the problems in the black community, WHERE ARE THE CONCRETE SOLUTIONS!? nobody wants to discuss that. These militants only want to discuss the many ways we have been wronged and how they are still moving in & doing it...well you are so focused on them, did you forget that your own people must live day to day? why arent you posting job ads and finding ways for them to receive higher education? We need concrete steps, not old rope bridges!

  • @STORMYB He are the solutions. Become a mentor. Free your mind of everything that has been taught to you that is not good for you. That is destructive to the image of being productive citizen. If you have kids teach them their history, teach them is cool to learn something and grow.Strive for the best in life and try to get our own business.

  • @TerrorTown7575 YOU ARE 100 PERCENT CORRECT. I LIKE YOUR MIND!

  • OK THANK YOU!! THIS WHOLE VIDEO!! YES! Take umar johnson who has a video up here. He claims to be anti whitey and so black he's coal! then when it comes to homosexuality he's quoting all these psychological theories and books written by WHITES! yet any other time, your ass stay talking about the conspiracy of the white man to tear us down. These black MILITANTS only further separate our community and degrade us in many other ways! its disgusting...you're so smart, you're dumb all over again.

  • fuck you JiaIreland fuck white people natimve pride.

  • @machetezone Thanks for the view. Oh and this vidoe had nothing to with white people so its funny how u found this video. Must love going on black people's channel talking shit right?

  • YOU KNOW WHAT. TAVIS SMILEY & CORNEL WEST ARE AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT ALOT OF PRO BLACKS AND BLACK NATIONALISTS ARE......OPPORTUNIST! VERY DOPE. PEACE

  • @Shae77788 start with making people aware of things and that's how you rally support...if you know people in high positions in the community get them involved as well...and gdluck we need more people to think like this right now

  • @Shae77788 we really don't have unity but that's what marches build between people...obviously not having marches haven't helped us but the tea party has been having marches and its really helped them...trsut me until we unify it and show it through action and marches/protest things won't come together as good as it could

  • @Shae77788 we still need to march to show our unity in numbers...look at the tea party they march for what they want and they've made process...behind every great movement were great marches and we need to continue with that...of course we can do other things but in my opinion marches are necessary

  • @Shae77788 Girl yes PREACH! It's like as a people we don't ever wanna take responsibility for our own actions. People must learn that actions have consequences, and I love how you pointed out that about Malcolm X it was his own so called "Black Muslim" and Black Nationalist who killed him point blank yet they wanna go around portraying like they are against black on black crime yet they committed a black on black crime. It's ridiculous all these damn hypocrites now days always talking shit

  • @JiaIreland What is your solution to the problems we face in our community?

  • @Shae77788 Exactly every time your turn around it's another black person killing another black person it isn't White ppl killing black ppl out of hate. Now there was an incident not too long ago where a group of racist white teens beat and ran over a black man for no reason just out of pure racism. But black ppl we need to stop all that killing each other and trying to sabotage our black communities it's ridiculous

  • @Shae77788 I think that happened more so because things were more racial back then...and you're right marching and screaming we will over come won't work but im talking about marching for causes so black people will become unified for something and in unification comes power and when you have power your concerns are paid more attention to...the problem with power is we have some power hungry people in movements that just want attention more o than helping the movement

  • @Shae77788 why do you think that? In the past marches have showed us a unified, as a power, and it showed us more results than we ever would've seen un-unified...so to me if done right marches against the right people in the right places can show results...but again we also need to understand that we as black people can't just want other people to do things we need to build our own businesses and move towards being self sufficient..and that's what Smiley and West should be saying if anything

  • @dollarbill125 but yeah we need to do more than march we need to establish more black owned businesses and show people we can survive on our own instead of depending on the government for everything and welfare dependent people are going to have to get off their ass and work like everyone...because we have a lot of people out here abusing welfare

  • @dollarbill125 I think it begins with the Home and the community. If you read history a lot of black people are repeating behaviors we were exhibiting in the past. Do you remember the Black is beautiful propaganda. That propaganda instilled a lot of pride in the culture. We lack pride not racial pride but pride as a functional citizens. we need to get back to that. We need to make it uncool for these women to have 5 kids and these dudes to leave their children.

  • @Shae77788 Can you tell me what video that was because I couldn't find it I should've favorited it when i watched it...but im not saying what they're doing isn't needed it's just saying im skeptical and really don't trust them in doing it...plus more people have to be educated on how bad things are and that they need to be more proactive more now then ever shoot if anything unify and march we need more marches today

  • lets be real...just that fact that when more jobs were available and so many black people were on welfare should say something...now we got more teenage mothers, people spending their welfare on materialistic things, etc as black people we need to realize what is happening, do for ourselves, because not all of this is the government's fault or Obama's...the problem was we lost that do for self mentality in the 70s and it turned to being dependent on a government that doesn't really care about us

  • unless the mentality of more black people changes into a more proactive state than a dependent state more jobs won't matter and people fail to see that...this alone should put in people's heads we need to be entrepreneurs but is that happening? we can't just depend on the government...does he need to address poverty more Yes! should he do all for black people what they want No!...if majority of black people had their way they wouldn't be happy until they got a mansion on welfare

  • about Obama...and yeah I didn't agree with having Fox news people on there...but what West and Smiley don't understand is Obama can't just look out for black people if he said that people would say he's only looking out for black people and not the whole country and they were going to ask that don't get it twisted..see black people were mad at Bush for taking care of white people but they want Obama to look out for black people and me being black I see the big flaw in that

  • @Shae77788 If they're calling him out for treating them wrong then they have reason to hate him and do this...please don't think those two are above doing it...they weren't even proactive in helping black people they just talked!...they're doing something now because they have a gripe with Obama, they want his attention because if they didn't they wouldn't even be requesting that he spend two or three days with him at the white house...please look up and watch the videos with them talking

  • the real problem is black people need to wake the hell up and realize it...because it doesn't matter if we get more jobs or not if people keep continuing to waste their money what's the point..people see jobs being outsourced but yet they don't think maybe hey we need to create our own jobs..our community needs to be proactive instead of pro-whining and pro-depending all the time

  • or give me an inauguration ticket they weren't saying anything about impoverished black people!...some people need to watch the videos with them talking about it and really pay attention to what they say...don't let the we're trying to really help black people talk fool you because if they REALLY wanted to they've would've done it a LONG time ago but the fact is they don't they just want Obama's attention..im not the biggest Obama fan but I see it for what it is

  • are educated on how the system works or what Obama even walked into...Obama walked into a recession that it was said would take years to fix and people think it can be done in one term...people all complaining about jobs and blame Obama...what businesses does Obama own?If the economy is doing bad and businesses aren't making enough money they're going to downsize because people go into business to make money! not lose it...and Smiley and West basically said he didn't come to my meeting

  • @Shae77788 Again if they really cared about impoverished people they would've pushed to speak with him not wait until they thought they would have an easier chance to speak with a black president...if they really cared they wouldn't even want his attention they would still go about helping black people...so why I think what they're doing needs to be done I don't trust them and for good reason I think they're just doing it for the attention of it...and the problem is not enough of our people

  • and to be so educated why can't they realize Obama doesn't control everything..what companies does Obama own? If anything people should be getting mad at these companies...and lets be real a lot of black people voted for him because they wanted a black president or someone they thought was going to fix everything for them..but newsflash if they really new the details they would know you don't fix a recession in one term or two it'll take years but they know this they're just trying to capitalize

  • @Shae77788 we can't just think because they're speaking for black people they have black people's interest at heart...we've had so called black leaders in the past that used black people to blow themselves up...and I ask everyone this...why did they do a tour or speak about poverty when Clinton or Bush was in office? But the minute they get behind Obama and he knocks them off then now they want to same something instead of saying something before when Bush was messing up everything

  • all of our problems for us...we have to be proactive and unify because if we don't a black president won't change anything...but Smiley and West are using this to gain attention for themselves...and lets be real we've had poverty before Obama but West and Smiley weren't doing anything and I ask why? But the minute Obama stops giving them attention oh now they want to stand up for black people..so why i don't agree with some of the things he does I can see through Smiley and West

  • tell you why he probably hasn't went on their show or had them come to the white house and that's because they would ask a lot of what are you doing for black people questions...1st of all if says what he's going to do for black people it makes him seem like he's only going to do things for black people instead of the country and how fair is that to the country? and second instead of depending on Obama to do everything black people need to wake up and realize we can't wait for someone to fix

  • @Shae77788 I personally think they were jealous more so because they felt he didn't show them the attention they think they deserved...they complained themselves but about Obama not coming to Smiley's town hall meeting even though Mrs. Obama came because Barack was on his campaign trail and West flat out said he didn't get an inauguration ticket like he's been invited to other ones lol so to me they other motives behind their actions...now ima say i think Barack has been messing up but I can

  • Blacks have been wishing for a Black president for decades thinking that we will have a saviour or finally be seen on the worlds stage as equal to other races for once. That's the problem though, some Blacks that live in the US forget that we are citizens of a country ran by whites. Your 100% right that Barak as president is not a victory for Blacks he's just another US president that happens to be Black.

  • @OuttaControlTroll Omg preach! That is what I am saying like really where in a country where the majority if not all is ran by (White ppl) so it doesn't matter if you got 1 black president at the end of the day he is nothing but a mere pawn in a chess game. He has no real power, they just put him there as a puppet to make all the minorities feel happy and have us thinking that things are getting better when in reality aint shit changed, and things are actually getting worse.

  • At the end of the day, it will be us TRUE BLACK NATIONALISTS that will keep the black race alive. The integrationists NEGROS will be the ones that will be ground into the dirt by CAUCASOIDS, ARABS, INDIANS, ORIENTALS AND SPICS. We see it everyday all across the world. Good luck INTEGRATIONISTS black folks, lets see if you can obtain any power with your " WE ARE THE WORLD ANTHEM ".

  • @darksolarclipse

    Exactly!

    MA'AT

  • @darksolarclipse I respect your opinion. I don't agree completely but I will say this, one thing I cannot stand is these young blacks who think everything is okie dokie just because their is a black president, and we don't have jim crow up front in person, but little do they know that SOME white ppl and non blacks still see us as second class, inferior, and niggers. I cannot stand blacks who allow non blacks to call them nigga and then don't see nothing wrong with that. It's stupidity!

  • Garbage....how long have negreos continued to embrace everybody else, love everybody else, and still continue to be enslaved...

Negreos still do not own shit....and yet you still sit on here and continue to worry about if you can love white people....this is the problem...this is why we were enslaved in the first place.....huggin every damn body...

    MA'AT

  • @MegaMalik30 Please learn to respect other people's opinions. I agree with you that as a black people it does seem like we are always praising other people's culture, case in point the whole idea of this sweet sixteen comes from the Hispanics having Quincerras for their 15 year old daughters. Or Christmas which is a European Christianity holiday yet many blacks celebrate that as well. I do not go around talking about loving everybody, just saying cut the bullshit.

  • Great Video i'm all for black pride but i'm against some of these pro blacks who hate other races.I think all races need to come together and be united and stop all the hate.

  • @SwoopsFilms Thank you a lot. Same here I don't like how ppl are hypocritical about stuff, like don't get upset when ppl are being racist to you, and your doing the same thing to other people. I know this may sound hypocritical but I am only racist towards ppl who are racist towards me, I see it as a eye for an eye and what goes around comes around. But To do all this preaching out against racism and prejudice then turn around and do the same thing that's just ludicrious.

  • ANOTHER GOOD VIDEO !!! I GAVE IT A THUMBS UP !!!

  • @micpeee Thank you a lot for the support!

  • i am a black nationalist and i dont hate anyone i belive that we should have control over our own money, education, law ,gov and religon but we dont have unity that we should is not us pro blacks that make it like that we want all blacks to have what we should its the ones who dont want to be beter than what we are now to many of us cant be with out the white man

  • @pharaohdojah Now that's something I can agree that is why I don't think we have a "black america" because as a people we don't own shit. We don't have financial power at all, we spend so much time talking about having power and up lifting our ppl yet we've yet do that. You look at the Jewish community, and Asian community, and they both realized that education is the key, and having financial power is the second key to making it. Where blacks we haven't realize that yet, it's sad.

  • i don't think were racially superior i dont think anybody is..but i do think that culture wise we are superior..every race has done a good job at taking things from us..and using it for their own gain..fashion..slang talk..hip-hop r&b, rock & roll..hell country music, Jazz music..the list goes on..oh yeah the blues/soul music )i.e. adele amy whinehouse, duffy..even though i love all those artists..i peeped game..hip-hop wise eminem (love him too his old stuff anyway)..

  • @hght Now I agree with you on that, like our culture has created many of the things that other cultures of ppl use and abuse, and then turn around (europeans, whites) and say they created when in reality they didn't create shit, they just stole like they seem to do all the time. I mean really now days everybody is trying to black, except the black ppl its ironic and sad really.

  • @Shae77788 It really is sad things are like that, and I do wonder what's really going with that whole picture but, I stand by my opinion. There are flaws with all three of them as far as I am concern

  • @Shae77788 LMFAO I was just thinking about that too, like really you invite to racist bigots who are completely against you and always talking shit about you on television yet you don't invite your own supporters? SO yeah that does seem fishy

  • @Shae77788 But also black ppl as a whole we've got to realize that we need to do things on our own and stop waiting for another black messiah to solve all of our problems. President Obama can't do it all for us, and I'm sure Tavis Smiley and Cornell West can't either. We got to do things on our own, and now days many of the problems in our community we've created on our own in the first place, so yes it's time for us to stand up for a change and handle it!

  • @Shae77788 Thanks for the comment! I respect your opinion but I still stand by mines. However like I've stated in the video I do agree with SOME of the points that Tavis Smiley, and Dr. Cornell West have, because it does seem like President Obama really hasn't done much of anything to help the black community, yet he has been over backwards to get things done for the Gay Community and Hispanic Community. But then we have to look at the fact that those 2 groups paid alot of money in his campaigne

  • You speak a lot of truth in this particular video.

Why do most Black leaders come from a religious background?

There needs to be a more diverse line of characters representing the community. The scholars, the businessmen, and the everyday Joes.

Black people are not just this monolithic group who thinks in parity, but a nation within a another nation with views that differ from each passing person.

  • @MrJcornell LOL Exactly I've notice that as well, it does seem like a lot of our black leaders are all coming from the church! either Christian or Muslim. Mind you neither of these religions are true African heritage or our original cultures religion. It just cracks me up really, and then they always want to preach this "love your enemy" mess which in my opinion is stupid why love somebody that is plotting to kill you?

  • @JiaIreland

Call me insane, but I wish more Whites and non-Black would start showing a greater disdain for these confused idiots that resemble us. Hopefully, it will wake them out of their ignorance and make to them to understand that we must work as a cohesive unit if we want to progress. Instead of sending them the future generation of Black children to college, send them to a trade school to master a craft.

I would be great to have more Black doctors and lawyers around, but

    Continued....

  • @JiaIreland

what we really need are architects, engineers, entrepreneurs, craftsmen, technicians......builders of a society. The rest can come later.

What's the point in going over $100,000 in debt just to get a piece of paper that really won't mean crap if the people in which you look to for employment don't feel like hiring you, or don't have enough room to fit one more in?

  • @MrJcornell Now I don't agree completely, I feel we can have both builders of a society and still push young blacks to attend colleges and university. Honestly we don't push our young blacks enough into college, especially the young black males who are almost are not even attempting to attend anything further then high school. To me we push our youth into sports and pipe dreams way too much where other cultures like Asians and the religious culture of the Jewish community they push for school

  • thank you. i'm tired of black people always bashing obama because he's not catering to the black community. granted he needs to stop kissing the Republicans ass, but the man is doing everything he can to make america better. if black people want the community better then do something about it.

  • @bigvinamac Yes that's how I feel too, because it takes more than 1 person to solve all these problems that black ppl have and the entire country has. If they want change so bad, they'd take it in their own hands instead of waiting for somebody to save them

  • those of us who consider our selves as black or african american have to come to grips with one painful fact and that is we have been destroyed as a people , and unless we can begin a process of true reconsrtuction, there's no hope for us.

  • Real Talk, there is not even a Pro-Black Movement beyond Youtube!!! A lot of us spend too much time on here and ain't with reality, however every movment has to start somewhere. The so called pro-black/nationlist are just Black People trying to learn about their history at this point. Too many Black Folk sit & wait for others to get something going. Than they get upset when nothing happens!! Get off your ass and do something if the Pro-Blacks ain't getting the job done! It's just that simple!!

  • @Wisebrother78 LOL you hit on the nail with that, because the most of that I see is on YouTube videos other then that, I don't see any activist out marching or holding rallies to talk about it. But that is why I am encouraging ppl to get off the couch and actually do something instead of waiting around for a black messiah to solve all of our problems because it isn't going to happen. Especially with this generation that I am in Generation Y a bunch of brainwashed negreos

  • Well the so called Pro-Black/Nationalist are 4 out of every 2,000 of our people. You go to our community and Black People do not want build! 1 person CANNOT make a difference in the case of turning the community around. Black People always single out a few bad apples in group and say it's the whole bunch just like the media does to us! The problem is Black People not wanting to work with each to build our community up. We always looking for the proverbial Jesus to come save us.

  • @Wisebrother78 Amen that is exactly what I've been talking about its like black people are waiting for another "Dr. King or Malcolm X to lead them to the promise land. Mean while we've been waiting over 40 years for this to happen and nothing has happen yet. When will we as a ppl get up off our lazy asses and do something for ourselves for a change.

  • Your right. Hes not suppose to focus on just us. But he is suppose to pay some attention to us idc what color the president is just because we're American. But he doesnt. Why? Idk, yall tell me. In my opinion there are different Americas. Different groups have different issues and grievances. We voted for this nigga thinking for the 1st time America gone help our community. We getting ignored now more than under Bush. Hell, at least Bush did try to put us in some houses.

  • @KenWG3133 LMAO Damn! I can honestly say once he got in office everybody was all happy and excited and thought that overnight all the problems where going to just be gone and jobs where gonna fall from the sky. Now 3 years into it ppl are ready for him to get out its funny. But you got a point as well it does seem like as a people we where some what better off before he was our president and now it seems like where catching hell from anything and everybody. Back to being America's target

  • @darryl434 Yes we as a people need to help our own selves and fix our own problems.

  • Great video! = )

  • @Gamerzdebate Thank you=]

  • See the problem with this whole idea is we can simply improve the black community through economics and it's simply not that simple. It's a 100 year old idea that's just out of date. What we need is to change the mentality of the black community. If we do that then the rest becomes easy. As the saying goes, you can take a nigga out the hood but you can't take the hood out the nigga and it's true. The slave/nigga mentality is the problem and until that problem is corrected none of this will...

  • @kingru77 change. What we need to do is erase this mentality, not just adding jobs. If money were the sole reason for the issues within the black community then the community would have been changed decades ago. A fool and his money are soon departed....why? Because he doesn't know how to use it. So simply having jobs for black folks won't do any good if they have no idea of what the SHOULD be doing with it. Fix the mind and the rest will follow.

  • @kingru77 Exactly

  • Obama for all our woes and problems...also to realize we had a damn surplus and was warless before Bush got into office but I really don't expect a lot of black people to be open minded about that...I see a lot of videos on here with people going in on Obama with hardly any facts just complaining there aren't enough jobs or this isn't happening and im like if you're going to complain about something atleast be educated on it -_-

  • Also my problem is what does Obama need to do for black people because my problem is when ever you give some black people an inch they want a mile..and when you give something to black people of course you have to give it to every other race so of course in can't be choosey with what he gives...and as far as jobs go some people can complain about jobs but we got some people that see jobs but won't take it because they think it's beneath them so we need to keep that in mind before we go blaming

  • of impoverished black people so people need to stop falling for it...some black people aren't above taking advantage of black people to further their agenda...and the thing that pissed me off was Steve Harvey had very valid points but yet he's the so called hater but those two criticize Obama and they aren't haters lol the hypocrisy of it is funny...Obama needs to do better but as a people we need to do better and stop depending on handouts...Malcolm X is rolling in his grave right now

  • @dollarbill125 I honestly think that if any of the great black leaders of the past came back in seen how we was a people haven't progressed in fact with de-gressed! They'd be pissed off royally. It doesn't make sense how we as people are carrying ourselves today. Black girls getting pregnant left and right, Black boys in and out of jail. Black parents basically non existent kids are raising themselves now days. Just complete chaos

  • @JiaIreland Word especially Malcolm X and Marcus Garvey...that MLK boondocks episode was pretty much right...like i've said before it seems that only serious black unity can come after we exclude ignorant niggas from the equation...one of my "conscious" friends said that would make me a bourgeois but shit why should good people miss out because others want to act a fool

  • for how long and now when Obama doesn't give them enough attention that they think they deserve(Smiley not having Obama at his town hall meeting) or (West not getting an inauguration ticket) they want to have a poverty tour so im not fooled because to me they just want attention...if they really cared about poor black people they would've done this tour back when Clinton or Bush was in office but now they feel butt hurt by Obama they do this poverty tour to call him out not really for the love

  • @dollarbill125 OH YES!!! I just said it "They're jealous, and that's exactly what I feel about it"

  • and invest it and don't get me wrong some do...but the problem with a lot of black communities entrepreneurs is either they put their business in a bad neighborhood and they get robbed, vandalized, or violence near it is keeping people away from it..or the owner is unprofessional...but point blank we need to stop depending on the damn government and do for ourselves..get off of all this welfare bullcrap...and I don't trust Smelly or West because black people have been going through poverty

  • @dollarbill125 I don't trust either. I do admit they've got some good points, because our President does need to "grow some balls" instead of trying to compromise and please the Republicans all the damn time. BUT Dr Cornell West is the biggest hypocrite of the so called "PRO BLACK MOVEMENT" how can you promote black unity and black love and then go and marry a non black? that doesn't make any sense at all.

  • @JiaIreland I agree with you Obama does need to step the hell up as soon as i saw he was partnering with Republicans i was like wtf are you doing -_-...and West is full of it you should watch Danfreeman717's video on the situation...but yeah West teaches at PRINCETON -_- how many black people do you think he see's or teaches there...when is the last time you've seen this guy in the hood helping out? or doing anything hands on...no a lot of these so called leaders just talk

  • @dollarbill125 Exactly! That is why I am not on the coat tails of either one of them because I see all the flaws in all three of them. Another thing is it just seems like everything is for show, because lets get real! We always knew that when President Barack got into office nothing was really going to change in the first place. So I don't get why everybody is all shocked about that, first off you still got all these Republicans holding positions with power. So it was bound to fail

  • @JiaIreland Exactly and the problem is we had too many UNeducated people going around saying things or making opinions...a lot of people thought Barack was going to get in, be the black savior, and just do for black people(so these fools could continue to sit around and be lazy), and they ignored the real situation that things might be bad for atleast 20 years and things might get better or worse depending on a few variables...a man can't change that kind of damage in 1 or 2 terms

  • and instead of being proactive a lot of people are being prowhining and aren't unifying or doing shit as usual...and West and Smiley are just capitalizing on the situation because again a lot of black peple like to jump on the nuts of who every seems they're doing for them instead of looking at the big picture...if West or Smiley really cared about impoverished black people they would've done it while Bush was in office but during that time they were on Barack's nuts probably with the mindset

  • when he gets into office he's going to bring us with him and we'll have the fame we always wanted...to me it's almost the same situation with Spike Lee going at Tyler Perry because Lee had been fallen off and he used Perry's fame to bring himself back in the spot light

  • other things black people keep complaining about...if they understood how the government worked they would know what he wants has to go through other people and be approved...and what jobs do Obama own? he has to help other companies so they can make more jobs so if anything people should be going off on these companies for not employing more or getting money but still laying people off...but black people need to organize and make more businesses instead of buying rims and shit

  • @dollarbill125 Exactly that and when we look at our black community instead of pushing ppl to play sports, rap, and sing....we need to push our youth and people to go to COLLEGE and get an education. With an education you have a hell of a lot more options then just talking about a pipe dream of being a rapper or basketball player.

  • Jia you said what i've been saying ever since I saw the Steve Harvey videos on the situation...and you're hair reminds me of Paul from Tekken...but ima try to put this shortly us as black people need to wake the hell up, stop being lazy, and make things happen for ourselves because it doesn't matter if we have a black president or not if we don't unify and work together we're not going to put ourselves in a better position or have power...Obama can't just pull jobs out of his ass or some of the

  • @dollarbill125 Exactly that's the one thing I agreed w/ that Steve Harvey said its like "It;s not President Barack Obama to help black people out the hood or solve all of our problems". It's time for us as people to get up off our lazy asses and put forth some efford and determination to get out of the ills we've been in for centuries it's ridiculous in the first place to think that one man can solve all of our problems anyways.

  • So this just kinds of brought up an Idea that I had way back in the day....We have all these reality shows now days why not stick some of these hard headed pro race people together like 8 groups of 2 and actually handcuff them so they have to use team work. Say for 1 month solid or maybe 2 have them share a house and do challenges..... I'd be willing to bet after learning how to work with each other some friendships would be created. And if this ever happens Jia, I'd volunteer and i'd take you

  • @Armedlegally LOL yes that would be awesome and I'd be down to do it.

  • All Presidents lookout for their constituents and more time than not they aren't the people that voted for them and it's that simple. Bush did great things for rich people but screwed everyone else. Was he the President for everyone? I don't think so. As far as Pro Black and Black Nationalists go, they aren't one in the same. Many pro-black folks are really Black Liberals while Black Nationalists are just that.

  • @kingru77 You hit it right on the nail with that, its all about the Presidents friends and who put forth the most money to get him elected. With that being said they're going to bend over backwards for who ever helped them get in the office, in fact they owe the constituents that....I think we can all see that GAY and HISPANIC community payed a lot for President Barack Obama to get into the office, he seems to do every thing for them, because he owes them that.

  • I agree that we cause many of our own problems and need to take full responsibility for our actions. I agree with West/Smiley, everyone who voted has the right to criticize Obama. I think they went too hard, but Obama has a debt to the black community. I will do a response to this. Our vote entitles us to an audience. He represents Gays and Latinos and he's taken good care of them, and addressed their issues, black need their day too.

  • @blacksncommercials Now I HAVE TO AGREE WITH YOU ON THAT ONE! I have notice how it seems like President Obama and his people seem to be doing everything to help Hispanics and Gays get their rights yet all the problems and issues that black americans are dealing with have yet to be addressed so yes I do see some major injustices with that. But hey we kind of already knew that when he got into office nothing was going to change it was nice to think it might. We as a ppl need to do it ourselves

  • @JiaIreland Yes, we need to do it for ourselves, we should not just wait for them. When we vote for someone, we make an agreement, Obama was just holding up his end of the bargain by taking care of gays and latinos. Obama could easily make a huge impact on the black community, he could make sure every U.S. Institution were as justice and equal across race and social lines. We gotta hold them accountable despite the fact that it wont matter in the end, they're supposed to work for us

  • @blacksncommercials Yes you got that right, he stuck to his word with helping the Gay community and the Hispanic community. But when you think about its a good thing that he did because the GAY and HISPANIC community are the ones with the power and the money. If you think about it can help him get a second term because they see how loyal he is to their cause and problems. So maybe he is waiting to the next term to finish his other plans and agenda we have to see. But yes we got to do things too

  • @JiaIreland You know what? Herman Cain/Ron Paul 2012!!! My vote is up for grabs, on principle alone.

  • @blacksncommercials LOL dang! I am sticking with Democrats and I want to stick with President Barack Obama but your right ppl don't have time too wait for "change" sometimes you got to take things in your own hand and get things done that way.

  • I try not to wear labels, but I can relate to some of the points some of these groups make. Some people have good motives but lack direction, therefore causing them to lash out in unproductive ways. We as black people need to work together to solve the problems that effect us all. The gov has some blame. Look at our educational system, prisons/arrest/sentencing rates, and access to opportunities for upward mobility in general, and you can see there are disadvantages based on race

  • @blacksncommercials Same here I try not to be apart of any labels but my ideas and opinions are based on a broad situations. I hate when these so called "Pro Blacks" go around preaching and saying what they're going to do for the "black community" but at the end of the day they never do a damn thing for black americans at all, in fact in many cases they cause more problems and issues within in your black community, that doesn't do anything but cause us as a people to break farther apart.

  • @JiaIreland I can't listen to a lot of stuff on here, some people are really disturbed. We need to learn how to harness and use our power as a community like other groups do. Look at the Jews, small and powefull - because of money and unity. In this country money is power, and blacks spend loads, even when we ain't got it. Boycots work, expecially in a recession. Americans in general are waking up to how america uses race to divide the people. Great topic!

  • @blacksncommercials Girl yes! I was just talking about when you look at other cultures and race ethnic groups they stand by each other no matter what, and stick it out. Like the Jewish community (not a race but a religious group) they stick by each other thru and thru! They have money as well so they are able to help our their people and their communities. Where blacks its like you said we spend money that we don't have and then complain about poverty and not having stuff...hmm I wonder why!

  • @JiaIreland There are sooo many reasons. We are responsible for the next generation.

  • @blacksncommercials Yes we are responsible for the next generation and people need to realize that and stop playing games. Because the way things are going these day their won't be a next generation!

  • @JiaIreland True.
