it basically enables him to turn on/off both the mxr pedals (hence the label) at the same time

How the heck does that "DETOX" pedal work - it "cleans up" the sound? How? I've never seen a pedal that does that. Very interesting concept.

@dimaensionx i would believe that it would lower the volume input on the amp which would decrease the amount of volume going into the amp. Just like a volume pot on a guitar.

@Decodref That killer sound is, I think, the combination of the MXR Blue Box and the Phase 90. The two pedals are next to eachother in chain, and can be bypassed by a loop from the black pedal. It means he can turn them both on and off at the same time, so both effects kick in simultaneously. I've built a similar set up.

His "shreddy" sound comes from an xotic effects AC booster.
