Yeah, nothing personal - The design is great and would be an invaluable teaching tool... Unfortunately we are currently faced with many pupils with short attention spans and who have many misconceptions of concepts in Science (the above being a prime example) - so scientific bulletproofing is vital in educational videos these days. We can all blame bloody league tables for that! :)

I don't claim to know anything about the carbon cycle. I am a designer (and in this case, an animator and voice talent), not a scientist.
