I know a 36 year old with 16 year old kids. When i first found out her age i was astonished because she looks like shes 65. We cant do much for the people who are 30s and over except say stop smoking or if they dont smoke, good job. I like it how the governments are really looking towards preventing younger and future generations from smoking.

Shortly after being with my stepmom (who smakes constantly) I began coughing so much that I momentarily stopped breathing. There are organizations designed to help you quit, but even if you don't or can't at least have the decency to ensure that your children aren't inhaling it too.

You're missing the point, and the point of the commercial. First of all: you can't just roll down a window or walk away to avoid the smoke. It can travel over a mile, so it's hard to avoid. And symptoms are always obvious. You can find out you have symptoms later in life, including weight problems and unnatural alergies. For example, my granmother smoked around my mother, and she aquired and alergy to fruit.

This gave me an idea. They need one of a smoker and their child (about 3), and then a flashforward a decade or so where the now-preteen is dying an excruciating death from some sort of cancer.
THAT would stop the hearts and therefore habits of many.
If concerns over traumatizing the child are an issue, just use actors, CGI, or other effects.

i think guns dont cause as much pain as when you smoke ... i mean if you get shot its a 1 moment thing and you die or survive and get it patched up ...if the marks hurt i dont think it would be as having lung cancer

I don't really care about making smoking illegal, as long as smokers don't bother other people with it, they can make their own decision. They know the risks and they're mostly mature enough to decide for themselves [if they wanna risk their health].

battyguy, i remember i learned about the smoking on Debate (although im almost 14) that the goverment wanted to make smoking illigal, it was a-long time ago, so when the gov. made it illegal, there was a think called "black market", it was a hide-out that people could smke and other stuff, on the same time, they even made alcohol illegal, so they do it on black market's too, so the gov. noticed that companies are breaking down so they made it legal, but tryng to stop.
