I've been trying to decide between the dervish, bhangra, and tan tien. I had been leaning towards the first two for the dancing, but I may have to go with the dervish; that looks like plenty of dance floor!

@11007eric really depends what you're gonna do. the dervish is nice specially' when you have as much carving swag as this carving equivalent of jesus, but if you're planning on doing some hard-pounding aerials, cross-stepping and so on, the bhangra is a much better choice. the way you sink into it and the sheer size make the bhangra one of the best dancing longboards everrrrrrrr. the dervish is great, but the bhangra will take your colton style dancing to a completely different level.

@m2u420 Thanks man! As far as I can tell I am the first one to do that trick. It is unnerving to land backwards on one foot while going into a hard carve. That trick is always snapping my bolts.

i'm not quite sure why everyone thinks this is so great, all it is is the same few moves over an over again (done well, for sure). try and get some variety, it looks like you could get really good if you learn some new tricks (you seem to have good balance and whatnot).

Hey, I'm pretty new to longboarding and was wondering what are the names of those tricks that were on the video or if anyone could direct me to a youtube tutorial please!

@blisterplaster The simplest are the cross steps, most of these are variations on that, with spins and some done backwards. I dont know of any names except cross steps. The tricky part is not really the individual steps it is combining them together fluid smooth and smooth.

@blisterplaster its all about practice, just dance when ever you are using the board. I use it as my only source of transport so everywhere i go I dance. It makes going to school in the morning the best part of my day. Also loosen up your trucks, it is hard at first but will make it easy to compensate if you get your leans wrong.

its a flex 2 and i am 140 , and i will bottom it out on big drops. Paris trucks with the softest Paris bushings, I ride it as lose as it will go without wheal bite. those wheals are otang durians 75mm. The tan tien is a great city board, and allot of fun with the kick tails, like the dervish it is bad at downhill. I can dance on it about the same, but I will step on the wheals more often.
