Yes and it was written by a brilliant song writing duo, Nickolas Ashford and Valerie Simpson Berry Gordy the founder and owner of "Motown Records" Hired them to write and produce number on hit songs for his headlining groups starting in the year of 1966. That same year Ashford & Simpson joined Motown, they produced song such as "Ain't No Mountain High Enough", "You're All I Need To Get By", "Ain't Nothing Like the Real Thing", and "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)".

Also,it may appear as low budget,but it wasn't,it's just a statement of how far we've come,technologically,& in so many other areas,in so amazingly short an amount of time. @carlmonico No, there were rumors that they had something, but they were both denied them and actually with other people. At the time that this song was done, Marvin was married to Anna Gordy - Barry Gordy's sister who was 18 years older than him!!!

Tammi died of a brain tumor at 24 :(
