Tales of Destiny was the first Tales game I have ever played. I'm so tired of hearing people that it sucks 'coz honestly, it does not. Sure the gameplay from psx wasn't of the best ever but gods, most of the games on psx wasn't that good. But whatever, ToD will always be the number one game for me. It just grew on me. Leon~ lmao

Legend of Dragoon was alright, well I liked it better then FF8 during that time, but around that time or a bit later I would rate Grandia and Tales of Destiny better than Both.

Of course I play it. I have the non-greatest hits version. reason why I say this is because Sony use so much art on the disc to attract gamers.

Yeah...it has been an awfully long time. But they did just release the Director's Cut version with the extra playable storylines. There was RUMOR it was going to be packaged and shipped in North American Format. I hope so cause I can't read enough Japanese to be able to play it hehe.

Sure, they haven't released some, but I wouldn't say "a lot." The only main ones they haven't released here are Tales of Destiny 2, Tales of Rebirth, this game (which had a previous localized version), and Tales of the Tempest (which got bad reviews). They're releasing Radiant Mythology here, and that's not even a "main" Tales game.

Well, the battle system is still the same, but they made some stuff different. First, TP is replaced with CC (Chain Capacity), and you can basically combo with any move. There's also Air-Combo (?) where you can combo your enemies into the air which is really cool. There's also the Hi-Ougis which are called Disillusion Blast Calibers in this game. But you probably know that... The battle's are still real time like Symphonia and Abyss.

xD; I think it's more like Eternia's battle system: very fast-paced. There's also "Pass-Through" meaning you can run past your enemies, but your enemies can do that as well. The difficulty of this game is a LOT more difficult than any other Tales games.

Okay, the Final Fantasy series may be the epitome of the great turn-based style RPGs, while the Tales series is probably the epitome of real-time style RPGs. It all depends on your opinion, though. A couple other things to keep in mind:

1. The graphics aren't migrane-inducing; they're actually very easy on the eyes.

2. If you ask what Namco's best-selling title is, I'm sure you know what the answer would be: The Tales series.

2D? Did you even watch the video? It's a big change from the original version. Either way, whether a game is 2D or not shouldn't affect it anyways. It's just a different style of graphics. Not every game has to be 100% full 3D. If you don't want to get the game, fine. But don't make lousy excuses for why you're not going to get it, and putting the rest of us down in the process.
