About the narrators voice. For those of you who are familiar with DC comics, there is the character known as "Question". He is the Uber conspiracy theorist from the "Justice League Unlimited" animated series. One of the voice actors who did the vocals for "Question" was

Jeffrey Combs (who also played Weyoun in Star Trek, as well as several other characters). It's obvious that the narrator here is attemting to sound and look like "Question" as portrayed by Jeffrey Combs. That's my guess.

The deep tone and monotone voice serve to convey a sense of seriousness and mystery. The extreme to which he speaks in that manner is comedic, which is how most people percieve conspiracies. So it fits both utilitarian and artistic purposes.

Imagine if he would be talking about these things with a voice typically found in vlogs. Would you take it as seriously as you do now ? Certain messages require certain ways of saying them.
