ok so how long do they least? And pleas I dont want to hear"Long Lasting" I want to know the number... 1 year? 5? 10? 20? 50? forever? and how long is the guarantee? Please Reply asap! :DDD
well, how long they last actually depends on a lot of factors. the goal is that they last a lifetime. the crowns last an average of 12 years but may be more or less. the implants if maintained can last a lifetime althouth there is a 95% success rate for implants after 5 years. about 90 for 10 years and so on.
@MrLukasDiSparrow When we do surgery we don't give a guarantee. It's not fair to the doctor or patient. What you should look for is if the dentist is skilled, has a good track record, and most importantly lots of positive patient testimonials. I'll work through problems with my patients until they are happy. Never a guarantee but when two resonable people work together you will get a a great outcome. Find a dentist who will do the same.

as far as i know its used as temporary solution till delayed implant loading (+6-9 months), whats the evidence of tooth-mini implant supported restorations? panoramic i would like indeed (if not CT)
but it looks nice (from a patient point of view at least)
MDIs are FDA approved for long term use. it is a great alternative solution for fixed and removable prosthesis and i have had great success. I also use root form implants. every alternative we have allows for greater patient access to care and a more specific solution to the patient's chief complaint.
I do these kind of cases all the time. Although, I use the OCO biomedical 3.0mm implant which is a bit more stout than the MDI. It's good to see other dentists providing these procedures to their patients.
did you place dummy implants in your impressions and then pour around them? cause theres no way even extra hard plaster would come out of a hole that small without breaking....also next show us the margins of your restorations,,,im sure they all look like pontics...
next time build a composite core around the neck of the mini square head. You'd be amazed to see how good composite sticks to the implant alloy. Just make sure ur composite resin equally surrounds the implant and doesnt impringe the mucosa.
This Actually was completed in a week TOTAL. I don't like to do it that way but this was a friends family member and he lived out of town. Mini Dental Implants can be Used the same day that they are placed!
Absolutely not true!!!! these are mini dental implants and cn often be used right away. its called immediate loading. This patient flew up from florida and we finished the whole job in 2 weeks!!!!
Bridges, implants & dentures always look TOO STRAIGHT and TOO WHITE; makes them appear so obviously fake; especially in older people. Although, this case was certainly a thousand percent improvement. Interesting...thanks for posting.
How much does a procedure like this cost? That looks like a lot of work...

IMTEC makes MDI analogs that go into the impression prior to pour up.
