Yes it was a Jackson V bass solo. Lots of bassists use that as a solo. That's how awesome Jermaine was--and he was young when they made up that song. Taylor Swift is talented. She writes most of her songs. There are plenty of great singers but not many can combine good singing with good song-writing.
