  • "cheat at all times" pricless

  • the "cheating" stuff he says is really useful

  • If Brock lesnar were to get on top of you it would not work, otherwise it works good.

  • these guys have yummy feet!

  • I watch a lot of these sessions with Frank Mir. I have learned a lot just by watching and then applying what I have seen at the gym. Love feeding off this guys knowledge of MMA he has a great understanding of it

  • Hence the terms "retard strong" and "monkey strong." They aren't corrupted by isolation-thinking either so they use all of their body.

  • this is great. people always tell me how strong I feel when rolling, but in the gym I'm a wuss. total. body. contraction. myofascia muggyfuggies!

  • Love the comment on bodybuilding vs Olympic lifting and KB's

  • Frank has passion for this.

  • the guys to the right of the guy standing up looks like vinny from jersey shore

  • It makes sense Frank

  • The stuff he mentions about cheating with your body makes a lot of fucking sense, especially in a fight situation.

  • he is a great teacher ! learning so much from him for my game

  • Really good point about "cheating", by using your entire body.

  • Where is the sound?

  • @meetthymaker please tell me why i was just about to say the same thing

  • @meetthymaker Or Ian Freeman... Or Brandon Vera... Or Marcio Cruz.

  • @meetthymaker The problem is Brock established that weird head and arm control that he did and Frank let it happen. the technique he is showing is for when somebody is in the process of establishing head and arm control and flattening you out. In the fight Frank let it happen locked his leg down and didn't do much from there, probably because he wasn't used to the unorthodox control. He later said that he made several technical mistakes in that fight, so this would actually work, even on Brock.

  • Fucking Frank, he knows how to teach! Good job.

  • The audio is fine.

  • I love this series of videos....great stuff. Thank you guys

  • Someone PLEASE upload a mobile version of this. Its the only one I can't play on my phone. Help me out somebody...

  • i don't like him,but he is a good teacher because he explains very well and everything makes sense.. i hate some of that guys seems they dont give a fck what he is teaching when he is explaining some serious shit

  • Mir sounds like he's as talented as a coach, as he is an athlete. Good stuff, thanks for sharing.

  • Wow, Frank is amazing : o

  • frank sounds like a genius... and his kid is a smart one ;p its about hinking unconventionally

  • His comment on cheating reminded me of one of Jesse Ventura's famous quotes, "Win if you can, lose if you must but always, ALWAYS cheat."

  • Audio is fine on my computer, thanks for the video is was very helpful guys!

  • 2:33 who left their F-ing phone on

  • that's some good stuff right there

  • Better to cheat than repeat. Good info for kids. Good work Frank :-D

  • Nog is out, Frank will be fighting Cro Cop instead

  • @turkeys666 coool!!!!

  • @turkeys666 you mean, Frank will be knocking out Cro Cop instead

  • All of these Mir clips work on my phone except this one. Can u post a mobile version?????? please?

  • @submissions101 haha i had my sound down lol my bad

  • @RossMccartan1 lol nice

  • Very nice...

  • @RossMccartan1 Ross, the audio is perfect on it. Can you explain the problem better please? No Audio? You are the first person to complain about audio so this is strange.

  • @Submissions101 The audio perfectly fine on my computer.

  • @40kintheattick he forgot to turn up his speakers ;-) its all good.

  • @RossMccartan1 i dont have any problem with the audio maybe its ur speakers?

  • @RossMccartan1 clean your ears???

  • I am a big dude. I will use that leg chop for the rest of my BJJ life. Any help I can get to sit up faster is priceless.

  • I WANNA CHEAT :P

  • cheater. and i had such respect for mir!

  • Awesome!

  • Mir your a great teacher with a sense of humor

i have the up most respect for you

  • @flameicedragon by "up most" do you mean "utmost?"

  • That end piece was prolific. Gotta cheat - I like the popup etc too. SImple but great.

  • Every time I watch these videos I wanna perform the move on someone but asking someone if you can do a move on them is kinda awkward. haha. Can't wait till I go to BJG class so I can practice this.

  • awesome

  • Thanks for these vids guys - I do have a strange question though!

Does anyone know what those KNEEPADS, that Frank is using are? I've been trying to find a pair that don't slide down, and cover the knee itself, and don't come up onto the thigh.

  • @edsheadsaid I don't but I have had a nice pair of Asics for a while now and really like them. There are a few other guys I train with that use the same ones and they like them too.

  • Hi Brock! how's it going?

  • LLEEEEERRRROOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYY JEEEEEEENNNNNNNKKINNNNNNNNNNNNNNSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

    props to roy.

Frank Mir, I have the greatest respect for you you, and I can't wait to see you take Brock down.

  • whats your name? ROYYYY

    hahahah

  • frank mir...great teacher. explains in each step...awesome

  • wouldn't the superman move you showed earlier work from that position as well?

  • Hey, not at all questioning the technique of Mr. Mir. However, I seem to be having some trouble this this specific maneuver when posting. I'm 6'1'' 170. Practicing BJJ for 4 years. I understand the concept, but like Mr. Mir said in a previous video it's about using what works for you. My though behind my difficulties is because my longer limbs creating more friction and they get tied up easily. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • man sometimes mir goes on...bodybuilding haha =)

  • He looks huge next to the little guy he was holding haha...

  • Wow, if I ever got to choose a instructor it'd be Frank Mir, he really good at explaining things.

  • I wish i had money for training... The way i have learned all the submissions i know is by watching mma, and these submission videos... Haha... Well atleast its something

  • @smokinacs911 Dude, if you can squeeze in enough lessons to get down the basics, it will drastically help you in your independent studies. Things will come to you easier and your mind will start to think more as a grappler.

  • @rvalenz Well next year i'll be getting a job and then every penny will go to the hardcore gym for bjj & muay thai lessons... But at the moment it is internet vids for me. :)

  • @smokinacs911 Sick man, best of luck!

  • @rvalenz Thanks, this is one of many reasons i love mma & grappling... Most people associated with it in any way are such nice people.

  • @smokinacs911 Yeah man for the most part people in MMA and martial arts in general are pretty cool and humble. Like any group though there are some jerks, don't be discouraged if you ever run into one. Keep on learning, training, and doing your best.

  • @smokinacs911 buddy israel :)

  • @rvalenz Agreed, you actually have to get the feel of the ground game. Watching is not enough.

  • I've Loved This Series.

    Thanks For Uploading Ari

  • Frank is so kool, he explains things really well.
