I met Big Joe one morning just South of Perry Okla ; it was 9 degrees and it was 6 miles to Perry ; Ice on everything ; Fuel Pump froze and bursted ; Joe saved my Life . Took me thirty years to realize big joe`s truck or the drill pipe he was hau;i9ng neither had any ice on them ; the truck and the load were clean as a whistle !
I love this song because it reminds me of my father, who drove a "modified sprint car". At the time I did not realize it, but my "daddy" was trying to supplement our family income. Every time I eat a BLT sandwich (which we got when Daddy won) I remember this song. Still brings tears to my eyes!
A great story told by a great story teller. Thanks for the upload and the bio.
