  • Are all the Japanese fighters products of the Kodokan Dojo or do they come from other training institutions?

  • -90 suzuki

    -81 iliadis

  • Teddy riner!!

  • Koga's Judo Class

    watch?v=xmdA_0mZbJ4

  • Great song selection too :)

  • Mifune =P

  • Kano =P

  • Koga was heavier than 73 kg in later years so I guess -73 Lee Won Hee and -81 Koga. :p

    -90 Suzuki.

    just an opinion.

  • calculator or windows vista?

  • The best sport on the world!!!

  • Nice video, nice judoka with skills and glory. Such a pleasure, your team would be amazing if it was possible to put them aside on the mat ! Thank you. :)

  • Nice, thanks for posting

  • Inspiring.

  • Swain did beat Koga once....I think it was 1987 Worlds. I remember it because it was the only time I have seen Koga beaten.

  • my 200 ok ;)

  • -81 Ilias Iliadis

    +100 Teddy Riner

  • add kimura for open weight and matsuda for what weightclass he would be lol

  • what a team have you dream

  • japanese have the best training mode at judo, I saw 5 years ago an Internet vid where we can see japanese training with an inner tube of bike of the models of the 1900s, rolled up around a tree. Try it !

  • I might replace Huizinga with Seisenbacher, but good list.

  • a really good selection..

  • good selection but i put also iliadis gre

  • very good selection!!

  • @jk1840 0,0 the weight classes, -60 is under 60 kilo

  • What do those negative numbers mean

  • Where are Paweł Nastula and Waldemar Legień ?

  • Its about taking the inertia of the line and converting that interia into a circle.

  • 0:57 I think he's Choi, Minho, not Tadahiro

  • AZOIDIS REMEMBER THAT NAME HE WILL BE ON YOUR FUTURE VIDEO DREAM TEAM

  • @TheLastSamuraiTyler yeah Judo is more beautiful & dynamic then BJJ.But the rules make it look less effective

  • They should change the judo rules, the fights are stopped too frequently

  • Why always "creed", is there some special emotional connections between creed Judo? seems like everyone's uploading judo videos uses "creed" , you need to stop. try something else.

  • Lee Won Hee is really good too.

  • Good Team!

    Good Video!

  • Yamashita over Muneta at +100?

  • @zenrhino yamashita has never lost a fight... he is the best judo fighter of all times, don't forget it ; )

  • @coleti666 never?

  • @Ljub001 not in competition ; )

  • -100 must be Henk grol and +100 must be Dennis van der Geest, that makes it briljant.

  • @Rdgthijs do you know who yasuhiro yamashita is?

  • @boomersoonersrok

if i don't know why should i say Dennis is beter than Yasuhiro, maybe because Dennis is after Mark my favorite;)

  • @Rdgthijs You can't compare Van Der Geest with such a legend as Yamashita... He won only once gold, and was an awfull guy, hated on the mat. We talk about judo here, be serious guy. The same about Grol : have you ever seen Inoue fighting ?! Grol is just an awfull wrestler, the fact he's dutch (I presume that's why you chose those guys...) doesn't change anything : they're poor judoka. Period.

  • Your list is solid but almost all Japs, I would put Won hee lee at 73 just to spice things up.

  • @jmjcjudojack Don't you know that the term "Japs" is an offensive racial slur? Show some respect, especially to such accomplished judoka as these.

  • @jmjcjudojack because the "Japs" (A racist term by the way) are the best at judo :) You wouldnt spice things up if they are the best...

  • the best i have ever done is -68

  • judo, the best

  • These videos are nice, but the background musics are FUCT UP as usual.

    wasted a nice video.

  • the kouchi gari at 1:41 is freakin' pretty

  • Comment removed

  • 一本(ippon)

  • Ew...creed.

  • Very nice... only change id make is at 66kg. Id put Udo Quellmalz in.

  • I and my son enjoyed very much. Thanks. May Your Ippons Be Sweet And Neat.

  • lee, wonhee

  • -73 Won Hee Lee-Grnad slamer...

  • Nice video....been mentioned before, but Masahiko Kimura about 85kg (pre-olympics) would fit on a 'dream team'.

  • these guys spam uchi-mata ftw.

  • ki young jeon was in the under -86 kg category and not in the -81kg category

  • what does the number you put beside the name mean???

    nice vid! :)

  • They were the best in their category

  • im white-yellow belt and mutch more to learn

  • why only japs?

  • @wiLLekx85 Mark Huizenga a "Jap"? Besides that: Japanese have cool techniques to watch....

  • These are some of the top guys in Judo, wow, nice!!! I really enjoyed watching! :)

  • I hope all of you don't forget that at it's begining judo beat all the jj schools and become japans sport fort the police....so stop comenting here like fools because you don't know anything all of you just look here and complain if it's like this go to a judo dojo and see how it is....or if you want a fight i beg you pick up a fight with a judoka on the street...:))

  • feel like getting off your high horse anytime soon? nobody was calling out judo.. "because you don't know anything," you said. please stop acting like a child, you know nothing about any of us other than our comments on youtube. nobody is downplaying judo. and try looking up the history of judo and bjj a little more and finding out why judo was chosen by the police. practicing jjj was made illegal in japan and it was only after some smooth work behind the scenes that judo was accepted

  • A agree with you ... I have 3 BJJ blackbelts and 2 brown belts that attend my Kodakan Judo Dojo cause (in there own words) kept on getting there asses handed to them by Judokas! I have done many arts in my life from kickboxing, Aikido and Judo. And in my opinion Judo is by far the best.

  • @dontony what would you say was best for straight up and PURE SELF-DEFENSE, like the kind you need in an alley at night etc. or a woman could use alone on the street. know what I mean?

  • the only complaint i have about judo is that it seems like many of the throws result in the thrower (sorry, i forget your term for him) often winds up in a terrible position in the end... giving up his back, basically... that and the fact that after a lot of these throws, the person doing the throwing gets rolled right away (or just rolls over due to his own momentum).. i'd only like the takedowns/throws where you land solidly in a quality position

  • i see where your coming from but that is where balance and core strength come into play and technique

  • @adtd13, i also understand that the objectives of a judo match are far different from those of a real fight.. oh! uki and tori! that's what they're called right? just came back to me.. anyway, like i said, i know judo has its own objectives, but i just wouldn't feel comfortable getting the throw if it meant giving up my back in the process.. check at 17 seconds, 22 seconds, 37 seconds, 1:03, etc

  • u do have an excellent point i have thought the same thing before i started judo... i see them getting there back taken or rolled over... but ive been doing judo for about 6 months now and that is just the judoka being trying to score an ippon and not caring what position he ends up in as long as he gets the ippon... my judo teachers teach me to do the throws with control and land directly in side control to a pin or submission. Hope i helped

  • @321MJB, that's how i've been trying to see it. that they're simply going for points; in this case, ippon. it's just that i like to see the applicability of an art in terms of a real fight. i practice bjj, and i get frustrated when i see butt scoots and things like that. if it's not applicable, i generally don't like it. like i said though, these clips are of guys going for the finish under judo rules, i suspect they'd do some things differently in a real fight... or am i wrong to think so?

  • nope your right, i feel the same way... I wish they would change the rules around more so they would be more applicable....

  • @brakzorak86 Yea in Judo they try to land you on your back in a street fight they could do less and land you on your head.

  • Hello 702,

This is a triple A answer. I might add that in real fight, on hard groud, must judo take down mean hospital or worse. One last thing, judoist avoid falling hard on opponent due to rules, in a real fight they'll just do that with fire consequences.

The only systematic text was when japanese schools were tipped againts each other on alomost hard groud. Judo then won by far against JJ school for sake of injuries.

  • remember, judo uses the hardest weapon always available, ...the ground

  • @emm589 What if you're at sea

  • If you don't absolutely know how to fall, landing on the mat can mess you up. You can get concussions, have the wind knocked out of you, broken bones if you have a major mess up. Concrete would destroy you no matter if you landed on your back or head.

  • @DietBroccoli or worst you can post. that gives me chills man

  • That's a valid point but the person being thrown is often disoriented for a few moments, which is why they don't immediatly try to choke the thrower oncethey hit the ground. It is also very easy to use the momentum of most throws to spin around and be in a very good, dominate position.

  • Great vid my choice for u73 would be jeon Korean master

  • video: cool

    Song: shit

  • qual a música do vídeo???

  • CREED

  • qual a música desse vídeo???

    quem souber pode me responder???

  • Yamashita, Dangerous combination of perfect technique and brute strength! Great Team. Gene Lebell and Gokor Chivichyan would been two nice add-ons too!!

  • @sdm3531 "Gene Lebell and Gokor Chivichyan " Those two guys are nowhere near the caliber of anyone in this video.

  • I would disagree, being that Gene Lebell practically started the Mixed Martial Arts craze long before it became popular and everyone was a couch MMA expert, combining Judo, Karate, Western Boxing, and Catch Wrestling. Gokor is considered the foremost authority in submissions, the same cannot be said of several of the folks in this video.

  • @sdm3531 This is a dream team of sport Judo players. Gene and Gokor wouldn't even make their own countries team in any day let alone be at this level.

  • awesome team!

  • a very

    nice video

  • That is a very, very good dream team. Thanks for sharing. Five stars. Ippon, sore-made

  • nice list :D,

lol @ all japanese and 1 dutchie :D

  • A good selection, although I would not say it is the best 'all time' with the exception of Yamashita. I will add:

    - Wushijima, best in early 1930's

    - Kimura, best in late 1940's and early 1950's and student of Wushijima

    - Geesink

    - Okano, lightest ever All Japan Winner

  • @chihlitiger

    Inokuma & Sato

  • @kmahabir: Everyone has his or her own best list. You don't need to reply to me to make your list. Inokuma and Sato are great Judokas, but I do not choose them as in the early 1960's Kaminaga was better than Inokuma in All Japan, and same for Okano over Sato. Wushijima, Kimura and Geesink ventured beyond the world of Judo, and Okano, to me, simply has the best techniques among the 1960's Judokas.

  • Point Taken and respected.

  • @chihlitiger I agree. Okano's probably the best judoka alive. Geesink wasn't the best technician, but he was a phenomenal athlete. Kimura, well, Kimura was Kimura. Ushijima is a legend, but there no film unfortunately.

  • great video, its just the perfect team, i loved it , by the way, what song is that ? ?

  • Great video 5 stars...I would like to add pawel nastula, and yoshida

  • i agreee with the first three out of the team. nice video, thanks

    -60's Shinji Hosokawa

    -65's Katsusuhiko Kashiwazaki

    -73's Michael Swain

    -81's Niel Adams

    -90's Hirotaka Okada

  • Where's Kimura, Douillet and Geesink?

  • yo sere el nuevo campeon de la -60 lojuro con mi vida

  • lol, the guy at 1:41 got taken down by a deashi zari. not that it isnt a good technique, but after seeing all these amazing 'big' throws it was funny seeing a tiny one.

  • where is the king of kosoto gari,

keiji suzuki 3 times world champion

  • tmenov was an animal - what a fighter

  • where is PINO MADDALONI????AND FRANCESCO BRUYERE???

  • timenov and camilo is very good judoka's but kosei inoue and mark huizinga

    is more more more godd

  • You mabe include Timenov (Russia) and Tiago Camilo(Brazil)

  • Very nice vid!

    But you forgott Anton Geesink

  • I love to watch the old fights. Yamashita fights like a tree, not hidding from the opponent(like nowadays).

  • wheres masahiko kimura?

  • It is hard to evaluate how good Kimura and Mifune would have been against modern judo fighters.....how would Kimura have done against Ilias Iliadis for example? It is an interesting topic of debate....

  • well, for someone who didn't loose a single fight over a period of 10 years, he couldn't have been so bad at all, don't cha think?

    and forget about geesink.

  • hey what about neil adams , he used to dominate back in the day
