  • I am glad to be an American and moreover proud to say I voted for a great man. But every time I witness this whether thru YouTube or as I have for friends in real life. It is hard man. I am in tears right now. Losing my fellow men and women in arms is like losing a bro or sister. I never had siblins but thanks to my time in the Marines I got to have 100's of bros and sisters, nay 1000's. Miss you all who have fallen but thank for your service!

  • The soldiers are hero's of the United States of America for not just giving up there lives but also giving up there own Identity's for the United States of America.

    1stLT. United States Marine

    Semper Fidelis

  • I remember when this was done by a real President. I can't wait till Obama leaves office. He has forever stained the fabric of this Great Nation.

  • @gtazcom well i dislike this man as president. ( NOT because of his race, its irrelevant), i have to thank him for at least doing this

  • I may not be American but i have the utmost respect for the men and women who fight for their country .and much respect for those who have given their lives for yours and our freedom . sgt Smith 191 squadron

  • Seeing this and these men renewed my pride in being an Iraq Veteran. We all appreciate your service.

  • @midoribishi Semper Fi man

  • @911USMCDevildog Semper Fi my brother!

  • Oh what a surprise it must have been....LOL!!! Reductions in force....bowing to the enemy.....now this....What next?

  • Too bad they were disgraced by having them pinned on by an unAmerican

  • @juicysquidlad Any soldier knows that you give the commander in chief respect. Maybe they should turn their back because you don't like the president.

  • @randroid88 any soldier? Are you sure about that?

  • @juicysquidlad any real soldier....

  • @randroid88 i agree. although i dislike this man as president. not because of race. i dont see in colours, anyhoo, a few years back, you prolly remember this. a naval enlisted man gave some rather less than flattering remarks about the CiC who at the time was bill clinton. he was shortly thereafter discharged

  • So glad i got to see a crap loreal commercial before something that really matters. fucking you tube. Im sure obama could give a fuck less where he was at the time.

  • love me some CMH. great heroes. I served 7 years and never met the first one. Very rare breed indeed.

  • Obama looks like he really knows what he's doing - must have been because of all those years he spent serving his country.

  • These men and women are the really heroes not some sports start or famous actor.

  • one of the breavest men in the world, and for sure the breavest men in America. huge respect

  • Barry should step aside and let those four real men handle this detail. Hell he probably doesn't even know the meaning of it.

  • For me that medal around the neck of those old man is the highest military rank in the USA, not the four stars.

    Period.

  • I thought the commander in chief had to SALUTE Medal of Honor winners?

  • @FireCaptE9

Yea, I believe that to be the case... It would have been nice, a good example, if they could have caught that on film, for the the american public to see... I am not sure if he actually did at any time, salute any of these HERO's... I am not sure if he even knows, it is required of him, as President, Commander-in-Chief... I have certainly NOT seen Bush do it... It would have been nice to see Obama render the honor...

  • you fuckign cowards are NOT in afghanistan are you?

  • obama looks bored..wtf is his deal. Hes at Arlington, at THE TOMB, with multiple MEDAL OF HONOR RECIPIENTS.

  • That communist purple lipped asshole has no business stepping foot into Arlington Cemetary. You may as well piss on the face of a veteran....

  • Interestingly, these men were authorized to render a hand salute, but went with a hand over the heart instead. Was that an act of courtesy to conform to the honor rendered by a president who never served and would have thought it awkard to salute? I'd like to think so, but probably not.

  • @cbrusharmy In the swedish tradition, hand salutes are never performed without headgear. Could it be something along the same lines, perhaps?

  • @Irzadi No, the president never wears headgear, yet "he" (the office) usually salutes when comming out of helos or planes and what not, when there's a military escort. I don't know if Obama has been doing it. These veterans are authorized to render a hand salute without headgear and out of uniform, but they didn't do it here.

  • At least he didn't have to go to the ceremonies honoring them like the other presidents.

Kudos to Obama for skipping the honor of our soldiers, they don't belong in your socialist world, you commie!

  • @isarzwolf The fact that you would even consider coming to a video honoring THIS solemn event to post such an ignorant & disrespectful comment really shows that YOU are an absolute DISGRACE to the United States of America!! Find somewhere else to post your rhetorically ignorant filth! This is NOT the place nor the ocassion for such inane debate. Respect the lives given for this Nation & take your "politics" elsewhere!

  • I thank all MOH recipients

  • that's definitely one of the perks of being in e co. being able to do this mission and meet people that truly gave their all for their country. this was probably the most honorable mission i've got to do since being in the old guard.

  • His grandfather fought in World War 2. If that means anything to you.

  • @EuthanizeReligion just because his grand dad was brave, doesn't mean he is

  • How dare you. Like it or not, whether you voted for him or not, President Obama is the Commander in Chief of finest military the world has ever known and in so being, he has achieved a status that you will never know. People dont have to like him, but you must respect him. ANd if you cant do that, then respect the office of President and Commander in Chief. If you cant do that, keep a civil tongue in your head. If you cant do that then bite your damned tongue.

  • @FrozenEMT did you feel that way when people insulted the previous president

  • I will always place the mission first.

    I will never accept defeat.

    I will never quit.

I will never leave a fallen comrade.

  • I am struck by several different thoughts.

Obama comes from a state that was a territory before WWII. John Finn, in particular, probably got more than a simple "thanks" from the tallest man in this group.

Second, it is fitting that while certain people in this country are deriding our commander in chief, these men are not. And they have more right.

Finally, I recall how it was always the VP who attended these events. Why didn't anyone ever stand up and tell HIM that he was a liar...?

  • I bet A LOT of chinamen/krauts died at the hands of those 4 guys...

  • These men reconfirm my pride in being an American, an being a veteran.

    Thank you for your service.

  • brave men all!

  • OBAMA should bow before these men he has no right to be in a place of honor he should shine there shoes for them

  • fuck you brother for saying a president should shine their shoe.Would you do that. Let us say shine their shoe for them

  • What a terrible and racist thing to say! He is honoring them - why do you have a problem with it? Good God.

  • These men are Legends and this...this looks like a photo-op for the current president.

These men are our heroes! But they are from the greatest generation and would never have asked for publicity...at all. To them, they were just doing their duty. To us, their contribution should be and to many of us it is a hell of a LOT more than THAT!

  • get the hell out of there way. or help them barry!!!

  • The man on Obama's right is Jimmy Finn, who retired as a LT(jg)and was wounded during the attack on Pearl Harbor. He was an Aviation Ordanceman who received numerous shrapnel wounds and will be 100 years old this coming July.

  • no matter whoever is the president these men deserve a lot more than a sinmple shake of hands and a thankyou. They risk their lives in sometimes unfair cirmcunstanses with no questions asked... my hat's off to all of you veterans of wars.

  • Roger That!

  • Although they deserve more than a simple shake of hands and a thank you, these men would be content with being unrecognized, their service to their country is all the satisfaction they need. These humble soldiers are my Heroes. Thank you

  • Wow, the man on Obama's left at 2:00 is Robert L. Howard. He got 3 nominations for the MOH for 3 different actions!

  • Those men have risked their lives to save anothers. We all owe them a handshake along with a thank you.

  • Wow all those brave men whom sacrificed so much for their country (except for that one pandering empty suit whom hasn't the first clue about sacrifice)

  • What an honor it must have been to stand alongside these brave men.

  • I have one thing to say to all MEDAL of HONOR recieptients: THANK YOU

  • that is all that you can say to these brave men: THANK YOU i absolutly agree with you

  • did all the third graders get out at once?

  • wow...I didn't know Obama had a heart

  • And where was his teleprompter?

  • he doesnt its called good PR

  • Obama is everywhere he's got a teleportation device.

  • i didnt see the medal

  • oh now he puts his hand over his heart... ...

  • can you imagine if mccain was the man instead? you couldn't tell them apart.

  • Dry so?
