  • Gotta love that drum set!!!!!! and Mike sure has the pipes!!!!!

  • No talent band so over rated. they deserve no spot in metal or life. another bs christian band. No talent at all on vocals. guitar wise talent sure drumss wtf !!! ur stupid as fuck their beats are adverage and nothing impressive. riff a to this spong is only cool part and solo. but vocals are so terrible its not even funny. back up vocals not as bad as lead but still. Yeah so christian ! ahahah stupid fags on stage. and christians haha evil on own

Anyhow point is stryper gayest band of 80s

  • ça date peut-être mais que c'est bon on s'en lasse pas de cette chanson .

Robert SWEET sur sa batterie rotative et les envolé vocale de Michael SWEET

    ouaah c'est génial.

  • this is the most glam metal concert ever! Look at their outfits, gear.. everything is shining n looks so rich! Even their hair is shining Awesome drums!!! The best glam metal band of the 80's! thumbs up!

  • One of Stryper's best live performances.

    And the drums...3:28...Holy Cow!

  • These guys had every opportunity in front of them and chose instead God to be #1 in thier lives and share the message, it was a long road in the beginning. God has surely blessed them, 25 years and still going...and thier sound is still the same!!! Awesome talent.

  • woah the drums are beast

    So cool!

  • Man, I love Styper and this is my favorite song. What a great performance they put on. I'm not super religious, I just love Stryper. I hate when people say rock can't be Christian. Rock can be anything you want it to be. I love Styper, rock on!!

  • Well put , very .

  • I think this is Robert's HUGEST drum kit ever!

  • Robert's revolving drum kit is more impressive than any of Tommy Lee's!

  • freakin awesome song!

  • Try to hit (and hold) that high one Michael screams at the end. Incredible.

  • That is the coolest drum kit I've ever seen.

  • The.try which keeps the nickname which is the first hEAVY metal overseas visiting Korea group public performance in Korea ladles. Informs the beginning to Korean..HEAVY metal public performance history and the opportunity. IN STRYPER

  • robert no le daba descanso a ese bombo jajaj una masa

  • very good

the drum of robert sweet is so beautiful

  • Gay.

  • Your gay! :D Stryper ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!

    TWHD!

  • It's "you're". And no, I'm not, sorry. What does "TWHD" mean? "To With Hell Devil"? They're so cute, like a bunch of bouncing bumblebees. So not gay, those get-ups.

  • to hell with the devil.

  • To HELL with illiterates on the internet.

  • vocals are not taped.. oz's vocal range is high like michael's

  • wat a cool drum set. STRYPER ROCKS!!!

  • Yeah, cool spinning yellow and black drumset with 20 bass drums! I heard before each set, all the band members sodomize the drummer, and for an encore, the drummer drops his pants, bends over, and fart-launches all the cum from his ass on the audience.

  • lololol

  • hey im a big fan of em i went to the concert once. and i cant believe dat all none christians bought STRYPER CDS. STRYPER CHANGED MY LIFE SO I BECOME A PRESBYTARIAN. SO ALL U PPL WHO DOESNT BELIEVE IN GOD OR JESUS NO REASON TO PUT UP A STUPID COMMENT ON ONE OF STRYPERS VIDS!!!

  • You, my friend, are illiterate. P-R-E-S-B-Y-T-E-R-I-A-N. At least learn to SPELL which brand of nonsense you claim to adhere to.

  • well my bad.

  • Just so you know, Tom Schotz(sp) co-wrote Stryper's version, so he had a hand in "killing" you favorite Boston song. I am a little bias though, since I really like Stryper.

  • its really sad, they they needed taped backing vocals...and dont even try to hide this...

  • sequence vocals, click track to Robert and White Lion..

    A nightmare tour

  • @Krehlst5150 c'mon man, those are just for the chorus...

  • @Krehlst5150 Well they don't use them anymore, the admitted it was a mistake and they STILL kick ass.

By the way WASP has ALWYAS used a backing track.

  • Speak of the devil He's no friend of mine To turn from him is what we have in mind Just a liar and a thief The word tells us so We like to let him know Where he can go To hell with the devil To hell with the devil When things are going wrong You know who to blame He will always live Up to his name He's never been the answer There's a better way We are here to rock you
  • Wow, can you say big time performance!! Stryper had some of the best concerts ever.

Great band and loads of talent, keep rocking forever Stryper!

  • INCREDIBLE!!!

    AWESOME!!

  • No matter wht the world thinks about Stryper I'll always be behind them. I wish they would have got to play that show with Slayer, but from what I hear Slayer backed out at the last minute and Michael Sweet said that Stryper would like to open for Slayer because their fans need to know the truth as well. IGWT

  • What truth? It's all belief. I hate people that preach their religious values to others. If we wanted to know how to suck god's cock we'd ask.

  • I totally agree with you, darkmoon21. "Christian Rock" is an oxymoron. Rock-N-Roll SHOULD be edgy and dangerous, not Sunday school.

  • in 89 it was a pearl drum and now it's just a fame

  • WHO is the answer then?

  • yehaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

  • Whatever burnt... whatever.

  • Granatenmäßig. Genial. Zur Hölle mit dem Teufel. Jesus is Lord!

  • PERFECT!

  • c. this iznt just a studio band

  • best drum set ever no contest very good drummer

  • I don't what this one guy was thinking, say that "they (Stryper) need to get somebody that can do death vocals and go melodic death metal," but if they got rid of Michael Sweet, then its not Stryper. Their music has nothing to do with getting fans, I mean yeah, the music has to sound good, but I think the Hard Rock/Metal scene is going more old schoolish, with guitar solos. I think their record label isn't doing a good job of putting Stryper's new music out there.

  • Tonight was the first time I've ever heard or watched

Stryper. They are so awesome and what a voice Micheal

has!I love them!! THANK YOU for uploading!

  • Reborn rules..

  • i think they need to get somebody that can do death vocals and go melodic death metal...you know, kind of an Into Eternity or Children of Bodom thing. That way they could be technical and not suck like some modern rock/nu-metal poser band, as they did on Reborn.

  • What are you talking about? Reborn was awesome! I'm sorry, but as much as I like the old 80's-sounding music, I DON'T want Stryper to do any more of that stuff. If they do, nobody will like them.

  • Nobody likes them now. Outside of us Diehards. That kind of thinking is pleasing nobody.

  • Well, no offense, but I'm not trying to please anyone but myself by wanting more of their new sound. I would prefer they continue with, and press further with, their Reborn-ish music, because I like it more than their old stuff. Besides, you'd really be surprised at the number of new fans they've acquired over the last few years. I was at Cornerstone Festival this year and saw no fewer than 5 kids under the age of 20 wearing Stryper shirts.

  • thats amazing!!!!!!! stryper rocks!!!!

  • thats the most crazy drumset i've ever seen

  • Same here! Holy crap, that was amazing!

  • coo.l

  • This is the best!!!

  • this is 1989 IGWT tour with full drum kit.

"Stryper: The Beginning" is 86-87 THWD tour.(not the same drum kit look a like with a few toms but not the same)

  • This ia a great song, and I love Stryper, but this is the first "live" performance of Stryper where I was disappointed that they lip-synced. Would love to actually see this live. Or, do you folks disagree with me. Was this live?

  • If you know anything about Stryper and their music then you can obviously hear that this version is not even close to the studio version and is not being lip-synched. Robert's playing alone should tell you that.

  • You are absolutely right! I meant this post for one of the other Stryper videos I found on YouTube. Sorry for the mis-post and thanks for tipping off to my mistake :)

  • PS: Michael Sweet is going to be singing lead for Boston when Boston holds a concert in honor of Brad Delp. Coolness. Keep an eye out for more info on the internet. Michael is supposedly very excited about the opportunity.

  • I love Stryper, but this video tops every one I have seen so far. Incredible.

However, isn't Roberts kit a bit overkill? Does he even use 90% of the equipment he has? I sometimes think he could get by with a pot, two spoons and a trash can lid. Heheh

  • In "Stryper: The Beginning" he says he uses every drum, and cymbal in his kit. (21 drums, 21 cymbals)

  • Good bit of trivia. Thank you!

  • No problem dude.

  • I hope Michael Sweet's son or daughter get into the smusic ministry.

I wonder if his son has same voice & guitar talent. Can't wait to find out.

    Thanks for the video

  • Personally, I just hope and pray his wife receives the healing she needs. I lost my father and mom to cancer at relatively early ages. It is such a damnable disease. Kyle has been very brave, nut she needs prayer. Lots of it.

  • They should have done "Flight of The Bumblebee", need I say why?

  • Well we need to pray for Michael and Kyle...that she heals up quickly in Jesus name from her surgery...so that he feel like he can get back into the studio....stupid devil, just had to make her sick...they were s'possed to be in there already...yeah the song says it all...to Hell with the devil!

  • I think Reborn sounded so poppy because most of the material on the record was originally intended to be released as a Michael Sweet album. With the new record, and more Oz Fox influence, we'll hear some more of the classic Stryper sound. Not that I minded Reborn, I actually liked it on its own terms.

  • Reborn was awesome! The new album looks to be more like the old stuff though, which I welcome. This Rocked!

  • How do you know? They haven't even started recording it yet.

  • Let's just say, I have my ways of knowing. It will be some old, and new sound too.

  • best, better than Elvis, Guns n' Roses, Iron Maiden, and all that junk!!

    rock on Stryper!!

  • What a fucking geek you are.

  • classic man!!

  • No esta mala la musica, igual salvan, pero son muy jugosos con la ropa, instrumentos y escenario xD jajajajajaja
