  • I did it to, romoved my motherboard, but heating it for 3 minutes on low and 2 minutes on high is to much, i burned it.. you need to do it 2 minute low and 1 minute high!

  • I cant belive it. I was sceptic about this, but i did it. 2min 350 C and then 2 min 550 C. It is working. Thanks

  • its working! but you must take over the cpu heat sink and then re apply thermal paste!

  • fake fake fake c ant beleive that

  • Thank you very much God bless you saved it at $ 180! At the same time thank you!

  • fuck that shit! im getting a god damn refund!

  • It works, but it's only TEMPORARY ! It only lasts for a couple of weeks or less.

  • It worked!

  • OK, Everybody, I have done this too. It looks like it helps. BUT i melted parts of the plastics around. SO plz ppl, IF U DO THIS, REMOVE THE Motherbord. So u don't screw up the plastic around.

  • My 7520g had the "boot into black screen" problem. I used a hairdryer for 2-3 minutes and it worked, the acer booted normally the 2nd time. I wonder how long it will work, but for now its great.

    Thanks for the tip!

  • @Dsil303

    any update on your laptop?

  • @blogJM it's actually still working. I didnt turn it off since my last post here. I had to do the heat-gun thingie twice, but still going strong!!

  • It worked:x i used my hairdryer for like 7 min

  • WOW good job, works fine with 7520 G, too :) . Habe mein 7520 G somit wiederbelebt.

  • used a hairdryer on an acer 5520 and it worked, held the dryer on the chipset at close range for around 1 minute or so...nice one try it for yourself

  • Belive it or not.. i had the same problem with my mothers Acer, so i thought, it is dead anyway.. so i disassemblet it and put the motherboard in the pre-heated owen, 200 degrees celcius for 8 minutes.... Now it works :) been runing now for the last 12 hours without problems.

  • hallo,

WERKT ECHT!

    Groeten,

    Peter

  • Paráda, funguje to!

    Perfect, it works!

Thanks a lot to AtelierMediaSC for this incredible stuff !!!

  • HEY GUYS. THIS REALLY WORKS, I WAS ABLE TO RESURRECT MY ACER LAPTOP WITH THIS METHOD. ITS COST ME ABOUT 75PESOS(ABOUT 2 USD), FOR THE PRECISION SCREW DRIVER SET.

BUT SINCE I DONT HAVE A HEAT GUN, (WHICH I ALMOST BOUGHT FOR 50 USD, BUT DID NOT), I USED MY WIFES "HAIRDRYER"...

BUT FOR ADDED PRECAUTION, I RECOMMEND TO OPEN YOUR LCD( I MEAN JUST AS YOU ARE USING YOUR LAPTOP WITH THE SCREEN RAISED AT A 90 DEGREES ANGLE OR MORE THEN TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN, AND FIRE AWAY WITH A HAIRDRYER.

  • i know of an better way to fix it without any tools and u dont even half to take it apart,i just fixed mines today, how to video coming soon

  • man i just brought back to life my acer aspire 5520 with just doing what your video says...man i love you lol.....!!!!! :P :P i gave it to a technician and he said nothing can be done you must give 200 euro....lol

  • Just pulled the heat gun trigger on my wasted Acer aspire 7520. 3 minutes at low and 2 minutes at high. I worked ! Just want to say thanks. I made a lot of damage on the plastics around but I don't care.

    GRAZIE MILLLE DELL'AIUTO !!!!!!

  • Thanks dude!It worked on my Aspire 7520g!

Ciao!

  • This is only temporary solution. Is better look to another video tutorial here on youtube named Acer Aspire Reapir Tutorial.

  • THANKS A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My local computer repair shop said my 7520 couldn't be fixed. It switched on and off every 2 seconds. It was going to the tip. Tried your idea. covered everything but the chipset with aluminium foil as a heat shield . got my paint stripping heat gun held it a foot away for 2 mins. It looked like a disaster as I had over done it and melted part of the plastic case. Started it up and it worked perfectly. Cant get the battery in but it doesnt matter. should have used better insulation.

    Many thanks!

  • Thanks. Actually this did work. I actually had the screen show the first "acer" screen, this isn't clear in these presentations on youtube. It is later in the boot process that the computer decides that the graphics chip is corrupt and/or it has overheated before, I dont know. -goes black and never comes back..:/

ANYWAY -IT worked for me on my 7520g ! Lots of black dust/muck in the heat sink grid at the fan! I used the heat gun a little - and it now runs like a charm !

    THANKS AGAIN

  • It works!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

  • Thank you so much!! it worked; i can't believe that there is such a cheap and "easy" way to solve this problem. Great; thank you!!

  • It work! Tank!!

Funziona!!!

  • it work! Thank you!

  • it work!!thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks thanks

  • DO you have to do this every time you want to start computer? Can the chip be replaced? what options can permanently fix problem. Nigel

  • I do it and it work! Thank you!

  • This is not the gpu, is the nvidia chpiset, the gpu is the big card in the mxm socket, anyway the concept is correct, I did this too and worked very good!
