  • its fun feeding game fish live things (as in worms, etc.) and careful when you catch new stuff and put it in the tank cause it can bring parasites or what else it might have. and your fish can end up getting sick or dead. :/

  • will a bass eat none live foods and can they live ok with koi?

  • i hate how when you ppl put a game fish in a tank and dont bother thinking about giving the tank a natural look! you give it this tropical look? give it a more natural enviorment! god

  • that isn't a baby bass. that looks like a mature bass.

  • you are horrible! it is cruel to keep a bass like that!

  • @MrFlyingmonkeycrap why do you say this? is the tank too small or the way its set up? what if one saves from the local fish market?

  • do you think it will eat a pictus catfish

  • do they get along well with other fish

  • @xXnje123Xx70 some times they do put it in a tank with fish its own size

  • bass grow in proportion to their environment. start with a small one.

  • its like one of those scenes where the giant monster eats the super hero, but then the super hero splits the monsters neck and breaks open but here it just gets digested...

  • @chipdasqrrl2 uhh, no it depends on the amount it eats, and in order to live it must eat enough to grow.

  • YOu should put a rock bass in their, because the largemouth will outgrow the tank

  • when I was at a guys house we were feedin his pet goggle eye bream some crawdads

  • hey im looking into buy a tank for a bass also, i was wondering if you can teach me how to take care of one?

  • these fish are nasty lol

  • hey, how long did it take for him to eat after you got it

  • The smaller ones are easier to keep alive I've noticed. I had a 20" one and he didn't do too good in my 110gallon tank so I donated him to BassPro and now he's doing great. Just make sure it's legal to take in your state. Most of the time, there's like a 14" minimum length requirement or you'll get fined if they catch you.

  • @66SiK what if its out of your own pond?

  • @halo5549, that's fine. Lol. You're just not supposed to take them from public waters unless they're at least a certain length. Some do anyways, which is okay to me as long as they don't overdo it. Most bass fishermen don't even keep any, even if they're huge.

  • bass will NEVER turn down a good crayfish.

  • CRUNCH!

  • can u buy a largemouth form a hatchery or do u have to catch one

  • i have a pet bass hes about a pound now in a 75 gallon tank

catch a lizard and put him on a hook

catch you bass i have its cool

  • that is so cool i wanna keep a bass

  • Message me and say how big your bass is and i will give you some advice

  • How's the bass doing today?

  • OWNED

  • so how are bass as pets?

  • u catch em and pet em in an aquarium

  • how do you keep your bass swiming around so good

  • wtf my bass is still not eating and i had him for a week now

  • catch something for him from where you caught him

  • mine will only eat feeder fish and they get expensive, i tried feeding it worms but it wont take um even though i caught him on a worm? Do you have any suggestions. :(

  • i'd try small peices of beef or dry pellets

  • haha, perhaps he has some psychological issues toward worms after being caught with one. i would try bugs, they are small but if the fish eats them you can find plenty in your yard. also if you have a pond or creek near you you could catch minnows yourself.

  • try making the worm bleed, when you cought it the worm was bleeding from getting stabbed with the hook

  • well maybe he is smart eneogh to know not to eat worms since thats how you caught him. you could try to use minnows either bought from a pert store or at a bait shop. you could also try crickets either bought or caught and if you live near a lake like me you can always try catching somthing that a bass would eat but make sure that whatever you feed him will fit in his mouth since i do not know how big yours is if it is big or small. i had a large mouth bass in my fish tank for six years.

  • mmmmm beefy

  • poor crayfish

  • do they grow rapidly if you feel them well? be an interesting pet to have, fun to watch eating

  • thanks for the comments

  • Depending on the size of the bass you catch I wouldn't go any less than a 50 gallon tank. They can live for years and get quite large, and I feed it worms, feeder fish, crayfish and tadpoles. Most of which i catch on my own except for the feeder fish.

  • @tflinn22 Agreed, I'd also opt for a rock bass and a bigger tank though. I keep large central cichlids and my 13" Midas is much better suited for my 180 gal, in the 80 she was extremely agressive. Still can't keep her with anything though, nor would you be able to with a bass. I'd expect any bass to last 10-15 years as do the cichlids and reach the top end of the size spectrum. ex 20" smallmouth.

  • where do you buy bass at? i wanna get one

  • you don't buy them you catch them. catch a small one though

  • @tflinn22 In MN you have to buy one, can't catch it.

  • @tflinn22 yup

  • you dont buy em you catch em

  • @GOgOsOX2005 you can buy the ordered in for specialised fish store for only about 15$ and they are much beetter than cught ones becouse you grow up in a tank

  • @GOgOsOX2005 stupid question

  • what size tank do you have

  • 60 gallon

  • kwl.. U still have the pet fish?... How often do u feed it?...

  • I don't have that one anymore, not for a long time. I fed it pretty much every day though.

  • that bass aint no baby!!!...

my bass is like an inch long

    now thats a baby...

  • yeah, he got bigger since i first caught him, I ended up lettin him go back to his original home. He swam away on his side with one fin up waving good bye.

  • my teacher caught a GIANT crawfish one time.. its like the size of your palm.. i dont think your fish can eat it =3

  • lol ive caught many of those in my local creek, a bass that size would have some trouble with them though

  • o cool i just go a 55 im thinkin about getin a bass

  • can these bass live in coldwater ,freshwater

  • yeah, freshwater is what they live in, the best temperature range is between 70 - 80 degrees farenheit.

  • how many gallooons is ur tank

  • i think around 60 "gallooons"

  • largemouth, right?

  • yup

  • huge tank! That bass has got to love it

  • sweet
