I am currently a blue belt in kihon karate, these same punches and kicks were used in japan to penetrate the armor of a samurai and stop their heart, those vests are hung in certain dojos across the world if u don't beleive me. Also, this is not how they actaully fight, it is merely the classical style of what kihon was. These punches and kicks have tremendous power and are proven to be very effective. please do not speak in ignorance.
