Can really recommend the stretch between Jinshanling and Simatai. It's probably the most beautiful part of the Great Wall with lots of nice panoramas.

i understand that walls are a bad thing..but the border of the US and Mexico needs it. All these mexicans are illegaly coming in our country and the government makes everyone pay taxes for their healthcare and school and all that. I'm not saying they don't need healthcare and school, but why can't they just stay in their own country?

Thanks Mr. Helper, we all know what he meant. It's a rediculous and niave thing to say. The Great Wall was one of the most successful defensive moves in ancient history. Modern "walls" protect nations from illegal and dangerous invasions. Are you seriously suggesting there should be no national borders in the world? The Taliban, etc should be able to just go wherever they please?

Walls are built for protection you idiot. This wall stopped all but one invasion. The wall in Israel has ENDED suicide bombings. The wall in Southern US will stop illegals when complete.

Walls are also built to suppress less fortunate human beings. Some walls are good and some are bad. The one in Gaza can definitely be debated, same goes for the one the Mexico/US border. The Great Wall is not one wall so to state that this wall stopped all but one attack is not correct. Anyway Cheers.

There is no wall in Gaza. The Mexico one is needed. There are thousands of people every day just taking a walk across the border with whatever diseases and swine flu and criminal minds. I don't mind if they come here legal, but when you just sneak on over, that's unacceptable.
