  • Great one Geoff

  • @paladonperry - Thanks Peter

  • @geoff1945 Yeah, it sucks being a Virgo.

  • Nice job, Geoff. I am in awe of the involvement of your audience. 44 comments after only one day! Best wishes from Wisconsin, USA!

  • @geoman7447 - Thanks George. I have sympathisers instead of fans. lol

  • awesome geoff. thanks for this one tonight big bro. ya chris

  • @onkelbuke - Chris. you really must get out more! On second thoughts, stay in! Last time you stayed out for months! lol

  • Nice one Geoff!

    George

  • @pastore0506 - Thank you George. Still thinking of you.

  • I hope I will not have to take you up on your offer. You might brake under the load of my sorrows especially when I get some naughty comments of people who drive on the wrong side (it´s a while ago that I used this joke isn´t it?)

    X

  • @SabMei1 - In that case transporting all your sorrows would cause heavy congestion on the autobahn especially with nearly everyone going in the wrong direction! ( The old jokes are the best, Sabine!) x

  • @SabMei1 If Geoff runs out of room, I have some space.

No, not the space between my ears !

Anyway, just set them over here, I grab them when I leave. ;-)

Hey, I drive on the wrong side... and I've been known to leave naughty...

Uh oh... now I feel guilty... Oh boy...

  • @profwaldo - Prof, Sabine knows how to deal with naughty old guys like you and me! lol

  • @geoff1945 I'm hoping for a spanking.

  • @profwaldo - Nah it will be the naughty step again. Still we could have a great jam session while we were there.

  • @geoff1945 No, not the naughty step again !

    I'm gettin' hemorrhoids.

  • Good one Geoff! I enjoyed it!!

  • @Michinil - Thanks Michele. Glad you came to look. x

  • Wonderful rendition! You got me thinking about getting into Banjo playing, it complements the guitar playing so nicely! Is it very hard to pick up?

  • @BennyG1969 - Hi! Thanks for your comment. This is what they call a 'guitar banjo'. It has six strings and you play the same chords as a guitar. I got it because I didn't want to have to learn a new technique. Check out my reply to Wolfgang (FolkandMore) for more details.

  • There are no sorrows while hearing that!

    Great work, my friend

    Werner

  • @KasugaD400 - A nice comment Werner. Thank you.

  • That was Great Geoff- Thumbs Up !!!

  • @jamminjimmyoriginals - Well thanks Jimmy!

  • I'm packin em up in me old kit bag and sending 'em all to you - the man of sorrow! I think it's the hair that does it Geoff, if you can follow my rambling, lol. Sad song but nice sound. You did a really good job mate. Cheerz :-)

  • @memphis3dude Ha! Yes its my Hogwallop cut. Did you recognise the steps? Up to the Eastgate clock on the walls of Chester.

  • I like your take on this song Geoff. Your banjo and mouthy make it interesting. Bob

  • @bobtulip48 - Thanks Bob. Its your kind of song. (If you weren't upsetting the copyrighters by doing those great originals of yours) lol

  • Great stuff Geoff, careful you dont inhale a reed there.

  • @sserddab - Thanks for your big brotherly concern Mike. lol

  • Hey, Geoff, I like this one! It's a great song. Am I right that a 6-string banjo is tuned like a guitar, but sounds like a banjo? If so, I would consider getting one myself...Wolfgang

  • @FolkAndMore - Thanks Wolfgang. Yes although you have to tune it lower due to the shorter neck its just the same as a guitar so no need to learn chord shapes. You just have to capo or play in a different key to any other instruments you may be accompanying. I tune 1A 2E 3C 4G 5D 6A. I love the sound.

  • 祝 新年進步 萬事如意

  • @musicfamily - Oh Wow Jeremy that's the nicest thing I've heard you say and so out of character! ;-D

  • Really is a beautiful song, Great Job Geoff

    Rocket

  • @Ottawarocket - Thanks Rob its great to hear from you. Notice young Chris is back in circulation.

  • @geoff1945 ..It's great to see Chris Back, right on Geoff

  • @Ottawarocket - I nearly lost him again just then! Oops!

  • I've never heard this song before but I LOVE your version. :)

  • Thanks Jennifer. The way I play it, you'd think I'd never heard it before! lol

  • Great cover Geoff. Really enjoyed it!

  • @carrolly2k - Thaks very much Jim.

  • What a wonderful rendition this is Geoff... You're fantastic! ! ! =)

  • @VerusiunctiO - Blimey! Thanks for that my friend!

  • Sounds like the Everly Brothers to me!! Great job Geoff!!!

  • @fourty5mag - I've always wanted to sound like the Everlys. Thanks Richard.

  • Thanks to keep folk music alive, Geoff. By the way, reading the notes, we've to write a tune about (anti) total copyright early or later, lol. Paul

  • @VNTPLA - You are right. I wouldn't be surprised if Donae (Little Fawn60) is already planning something like that. A team effort would be good. My son is trying to do a tongue in cheek thing showing how folk and pop bring generations together on YT and this would be lost.

  • Great Geoff ..how do you like the 6 string..been looking at getting one..

    Jack

  • @JackGAdams - Its a great play, Jack. go for it. Check out my reply to Wolfgang (FolkandMore)

  • Really Enjoyed This Lovely

Tune You Sung It So Nicely Geoff

Great Video Also My Sweet Friend

    Love Patricia x

  • @CountryWesternGal - Thanks for taking the time to visit, Patricia. x

  • A timeless classic song well performed! I like your choice of photos especially the one of the street lamp.

  • @ljped - Thanks very much for your kind comments, Jack!
