  • any chance you can point out where the steering fluid reservoir is?

  • @sorcereyes I never needed to mess with mine so I don't know and I sold my Bongo 2 weeks ago.

  • How many owners have never bothered to check their oil because it is a pain in the ass? I know that engine location isn't exclusive to these vans, but I've never seen another requiring removal of the console. Was there at least an oil level warning light in these?

  • Hmm, rather a faff for a dipstick, I think id rather open the bonnet.

  • Is it safe to have an engine so close to the passengers? What if the engine blows, will you get a valve in your forehead? Also, any lose exhaust gas at manifold is more likely to get into the cockpit?- I'm just thinking of older Bongos?

Also, is there a heat issue in the cockpit/do you have a permanently heated passenger seat?

  • some people would never find this! so nice to know your bongo has proberbly never had its oil checked and has often run low inbetween services

  • The dipstick under the drivers seat is for the gear box.

  • why would i have 2 dipsticks on my bongo. one under the passenger seat and one under the drivers seat? any help would be great. thank you

  • .....and the one sat in the drivers seat??? ;->

  • Thanks,I must check my oil one day!
