i was priveledged as a 16 yr old girl to get to know the stranglers after being hauled out of the crowd by jj at a sheffield gig. this led to a 10 year stranglers fest and some wonderful memories . i still luv em today , still see em when i can but have to admit things aint the same without hugh.

Thats crazy, i saw this and thought "I Dont remember Ian Dury doing anything with the Stranglers, then it suddenly dawned on me i was there all them years ago when Hugh got banged up for drugs,and loads of peeps like Steel Pulse,Peter Gabriel,Hazel O,Connor, Paul McCartney (i think he did), loads more who i cant remember, but i was there both nights,damn i luv those early Punk days when i was a teenager
