Bella Donna means "beautiful woman" in Italian. But, Belladonna is also a drug that is often mixed with Phenobarbital tablets (a strong barbituate/downer). The Belladonna part of the pill can make you hallucinate in moderately high doses, the rest of the drug it normally comes with is a strong downer, a pretty odd mix of drugs actually in one tablet. I've listened to the song with this perspective now having learned about belladonna, and I think the song quite likely has a dual meaning. Ideas?
