Um.. Does Joy just not get it? Has she no understanding of history? The State of Israel did not exist before WWII. It was created with the assistance of Britain and primarily America, so all of the remaining Jews could be moved to a "safe new land" (even though as Helen stated, they were no longer being persecuted where they were). And in order to create this new State of Israel, they occupied Palestine and have been there ever since. This is not rocket science.
