It was hard to see but on your album The Monkees it looks like you own the copy with Papa Gene's Blues spelled wrong as Papa Jean's Blues. If you do, you've got a rarity....not sure how much it's worth. Nice collection you have, that Bells album is great!
You ever heard of The Third Bardo (I'm not sure if that's the correct title) they are a late 60s band and I found one of their songs, 'Only when I'm lonely', again, I'm not sure if that's the correct title but it has this amazing fuzz guitar tune and a well played percussion. Can you help me with this?
You have some nice stuff there, but you may wanna do a rethink on what "sunshine pop" is, cuz the Yardbirds definitely weren't ... doom and gloom maybe (Still I'm Sad, Shapes Of Things, etc.), but they were great, obviously!
Some of the 60's Sunshine pop was a little cheesy. A lot of it was great though. Some were influenced by folk, some by the psychedelic sound, others by the Beach boys sound. What's funny, is that it ended up in whole lot of other genres going into the 70's. It ended up in soul & disco (via the influence of Sunshine pop bands (like the Sunshine pop/soul band 5th dimension) especially noticable on songs like "the love i lost" by the O' Jays, and the cheesy "rock the boat" by the Hues
okay, with whatever Suzie said, I am just going by what the albums sound like to me. Not what they are classified as, as a whole. They sounds sunshine to me, so I put them in Sunshine Pop. Just like "Satanic Majesty- Stones" They are under psych pop/rock, doesnt mean all their albums are psych.
You guys should check out my record collection also. I have Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Judas Priest, KISS, and much more! Also I do own "Mr. Tambourne Man" and "Greatest Hits" by The Byrds, and that Grass Roots album.
The 2 first notes on the background song sounds a little like AS TEARS GO BY, also curious about THE BELLS and THE PEPPER TREE, I'm jealous. Great stuff. You got just about all Association stuff, they were a sound that gelled in special ways.
I just want all the Monkees ones

Nice little tour of some fine albums in your collection.
What song is playing? I don't' see the name of it anywhere-unless I'm just foggy here at 2 am in New York City, Monday giving way Tuesday.
