  • I just want all the Monkees ones

  • so...you consider the byrds...sunshine pop ?

  • Cool collection ! 60's rule !

  • It was hard to see but on your album The Monkees it looks like you own the copy with Papa Gene's Blues spelled wrong as Papa Jean's Blues. If you do, you've got a rarity....not sure how much it's worth. Nice collection you have, that Bells album is great!

  • @bluebeetle585 Thanks for pointing that out :) I checked it out, and it is the Papa Jean's Blues!

    Hooray!

  • you must be from halifax NS to have peppertree in your collection

  • @w9x7cv3vg6 Hamilton, Ontario, Canada actually :) good guess though!

    :)

  • @revolution1940 Thanks for the memories - had several of these albums when they came out & I was about 10 years old.

  • You ever heard of The Third Bardo (I'm not sure if that's the correct title) they are a late 60s band and I found one of their songs, 'Only when I'm lonely', again, I'm not sure if that's the correct title but it has this amazing fuzz guitar tune and a well played percussion. Can you help me with this?

  • I owned, or used to own, about 1/2 of these. Thanks for sharing! What a trip!

  • You have some nice stuff there, but you may wanna do a rethink on what "sunshine pop" is, cuz the Yardbirds definitely weren't ... doom and gloom maybe (Still I'm Sad, Shapes Of Things, etc.), but they were great, obviously!

  • Lots of Association records...smart guy!

  • Nice, saved the best for last. :) (personal opinion people, please don't get mad, lol)

  • Nice collection all of my favorites ,take care of them.

  • How much you want for the two Yardbirds albums?

  • Not for sale :) But thanks for the offer!!! They are one of my favourite bands :)!!!

  • @revolution1940 Any Monkees ones for sale??

  • I bought The Young Rascals - Groovin' in the late '60's when I was 8 years old at Alpha Beta Market here in So Cal.

I love Sunshine and Baroque Pop.

  • you surely have good stuff...

  • Thanks, I think so too :)

  • Some of the 60's Sunshine pop was a little cheesy. A lot of it was great though. Some were influenced by folk, some by the psychedelic sound, others by the Beach boys sound. What's funny, is that it ended up in whole lot of other genres going into the 70's. It ended up in soul & disco (via the influence of Sunshine pop bands (like the Sunshine pop/soul band 5th dimension) especially noticable on songs like "the love i lost" by the O' Jays, and the cheesy "rock the boat" by the Hues

  • (continued)

Corporation. Now, the association was awesome.

  • *** "The love I lost" by Harold Melvin and the blue notes, I meant to say.

  • Nice little tour of some fine albums in your collection.

What song is playing? I don't' see the name of it anywhere-unless I'm just foggy here at 2 am in New York City, Monday giving way Tuesday.

  • Sunshine Company - Out on the Town

    a great album!

  • Nice collection dude!

  • pepper tree your my people album i seen this band in halifax n.s in the early 70s . what a super band

  • You have all the Association's albums! No Fair At All!

  • Where's the BEACH BOYS!

  • Funny.... I do have BeachBoys, but its not in my SunshinePop section. I have some tweaking to do, I am going to make an updated video soon. :)

  • I have a couple of those albums, but "Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn, & Jones Ltd." is my favorite out of all those. Nice collection!

  • im so jealous!

  • suzy is right. but who cares. ive got half of what u have on this vid i love it brother NO CDS

  • okay, with whatever Suzie said, I am just going by what the albums sound like to me. Not what they are classified as, as a whole. They sounds sunshine to me, so I put them in Sunshine Pop. Just like "Satanic Majesty- Stones" They are under psych pop/rock, doesnt mean all their albums are psych.

  • hey man u got to get more rascals albums.... i just bought peaceful world by them (ive been looking for it for a while) its one of my favirote

    peace

  • yea ok suzie. like you know everything

  • I won't say that The Yarbirds, Rascals, Byrds, Grassroots is sunshine pop.

Got all these records cept for Union Gap and Pepper Tree never heard about those...

    Cool video!

    S.

  • thanks, Ive gotten alot more since this video, just havnt had time to make any. but thanks for the compliment.

  • You guys should check out my record collection also. I have Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Judas Priest, KISS, and much more! Also I do own "Mr. Tambourne Man" and "Greatest Hits" by The Byrds, and that Grass Roots album.

  • COOL ALBUMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    HEW!

  • Very nice. I barely have 4 of those.

  • The 2 first notes on the background song sounds a little like AS TEARS GO BY, also curious about THE BELLS and THE PEPPER TREE, I'm jealous. Great stuff. You got just about all Association stuff, they were a sound that gelled in special ways.

  • Nice stuff. What on earth is that Pepper Tree thing? On Capitol? I've never seen it or even heard of it.

  • Nice! Those two Yardbirds are Canadian pressings, have them both!
