  • Indeed this was Master Kirby. He taught my dad in Montana. Amazing to watch.

  • Ah, to this day I still get a kick/throw up in my mouth a little at all the little bickering in our disfunctional San Soo family. =)

  • Ok, tough guy.

You talk a good game, but a private meeting is what I am after. You have no self-confidence, that is why you must always get permission.

"No confidence = No Technique." That is a quote from the 'ONLY' True Master of San Soo, Mr. Woo.

I initially addressed my remarks to your ill-informed characterization of Mr. Woolsey's fighting acumen.

How many of your so-called first generation master's have added non-San Soo to their original training they received from Mr. Woo?

    Anyone?

  • SAY ANTHCLOWNCOWARD.....you don't tell me or dictate the terms to me on anything.

    1. you're an attention hoor idiot trying to promote his crappy services.

    2. First we go through your absurd contentions and run them through the association, to determine if they make any sense at all to the first generation masters.

    3. The first generation masters are some very dignified people, who would obviously have nothing to do with your nonsense

  • SAY ANTHCLOWN COWARD:

    1. 800273TALK is the name of the sucicide prevention center.

    2. If you knew anything about sansoo you would know that you don't let clowns dictate or control the terms of any fight.

    3. Your terms are your own attention hoor effort to promote your crappy services

    4. You're a schlub anyway, beating the crap out of you would prove nothing, other than you're a schlub.

    5. I would need a lot of money and contracts and insurance coverage on your trash ass before that goes forward

  • What a Big COWARD!!!!!!

I don''t need anyone to get on the mat for me, like you just dodged the challenge.

    Put up or shut-up.........PUSSY!!!!!!!

Come on now........ I just called-you-OUT!!!

And you look like the Clown with you antics of running from the opportunity to show me what you got.........Tough Guy! Get On The Mat...... My experiences speak for themselves, unlike you, who needs the confirmation of everyone else.......just like a child.

So, are you just going to continue to ramble?

  • lastly anth clown you don't get billing with me untill you prove yourself, first you have to fight the first generation student teachers.

    1. Now these are a very dignified bunch of people, who ofcourse wouldn't give your crappy arguments the time of day.

    2. Never the less, I'd like to see a poll on weather the highest eschalon of assoc teachers agree with my position or yours.

    3. again you're just a slob trying to bring attention to himself, so i apologize to the masters, who are great people

  • yea anthclown, i just wanna get this straight.

    1. I have found the first generation student teachers very dignified people who wouldn't waste time arguing with a clown like you.

    2. anthclown, for the audience here could you list for me the first generation association member students, who you think are wrong on this matter. They make sense to me that the art should be preserved as it passes from generation to generation and not the whim of some slob like you...answer the question jerk!

  • anthclown:

    1. a fight is controlled with whatever it takes, a strike or a leverage and typically a combination of both.

    2. woolsey developed a style which he thought worked for him.

    3. the first generation students such as lasiter agree with me, I have had conversations with many of them about this, just for my own clarification

    4. anyway anthclown, are you telling me you know more about the art than Bill Lasiter and his generation of student teachers.

    5. Anthclown you're a slob attention hoor

  • whothehellgivesadamn:

For you info, check out Mr. Woolsey's other videos.

You don't see any use of Chin-nah? Also, it is very easy to manipulate on the studio mat, try it on a non-compliant opponent.....not so easy. Mr. Woolsey understood this from actual street experience.

Striking effectively simplifies the Na and Shuai of our extremely effective combat system. Again.....if you "really" attended Frank's studios, learning Ah-Soo to Numpi, you would understand that.........you nitwit!

  • cont......

We can sell tickets, I prefer not to spar for free. Ball is in your court.....jerk-off

  • To whothehellgivesadamn:

What a little weasel you are. You contact me through private e-mail, first, and then you don't bother to contact me to say you going public with your hollow and misinformed diatribe. As I mentioned to you, if you want to really know, what I am about and my abilities, let's get on the mat. Your talk is cheap!! Then you can prove me wrong....tough guy. As you know I sent you my phone number , call me and we will set up our match....punk!

  • arythnutcase....

    1. I worked out at woolseys...really, did you?

2.Your opinion is rediculous by its very absurd definition, that its somehow beneficial to ignore leverages as part of an effective fighting art, so you're advocating ignorance...brilliant...

    3. yea i remember the woolsey police courses, they were abridged specialized limited courses, much like you're limited knowledge of the art

    4. There's nothing intelligent about going into a battle without all your weapons or your marbles.

  • yea i worked out at the woolsey studios...really...you don't know what you're talking about, strip the art of leverages and you degrade the art, i had years of experience for comparison because i went on to association studios after the woolsey studios crashed..what a joke you can't understand that the art is not about woolsey, its about thousands of years of development and education not packaging and stripping it for personal exploitation as far as the education goes

  • To whothehellgivesadamn:

You qualify your comments by stating you "worked out" at Woolsey studios......really. You are wrong, in your subjective and very narrow understanding of Frank Woolsey's abilities. He utilized the complete spectrum of the arsenal San Soo...when applicable. He set-up the L.A. sheriff's training program in the 70's. When you effectively strike an enemy they go down....no need to grab or apply leverage. Most intelligent approach, especially against multiple opponents. Mike

  • if you look closely you'll see an absence of leverages and grabs in those workouts, which was one of the problems with woolsey, who was great, but he oriented his training around what worked for him, he apparently didn't understand the importance of leverages and grabs. Woolsey was a well built taller fellow than woo for example and punches and strikes may have worked better for woolsey so he thought, in reality he was degenerating the art...i worked out at both woolsey and association studios

  • True.. I agree with pretty much what you are sayng, but Frank was very powerful and very impressive still the same.He also had the approval of LoSifu. I am very much into the Li ga family of this art so leverage is a passion for me.Thank you very much for your comments.

  • This is great stuff! I just watched some of steve lopez vids and all i can do is laugh and gigle like a school girl!!! haha He is a joke.

  • How dare you mention my name, you bitch!!.. your not fit to carry my jock strap. Where are your videos? You gonna get up and workout in front of the whole San Soo community anytime soon? Didn't think so.. You're just another net nerd hateing. Now piss off & go put on your purple belt & practice your "ahsoo" lessons w/ the big windmills, that nobody does anymore.. & pray i never find out who you are.

  • I enjoy these old clips. Thanks for sharing!

  • Oh man, I love watching this stuff.. you can see how much san soo has changed and progressed over the years and its always great to look back and see our history.

  • Progressed? In what way? How do you mean? Could you please explain, and expound, further?

  • Hi loser.. think she means all that big windmill stuff, parrot.. now run along back to your hole w/ tail between your legs while solid food is still an option 4 you. lol.

    John Surrit

  • You are signing your comments with my name?

You sure are a weird one. (By-the-way, my name is spelled Jon Surritt; okay Steve Sloppez.)

At least you are finally spelling "parrot" correctly. I only had to educate you about seven times; until it finally sunk into your thick, low functioning, moronic skull.

    lol...lol...lol...lol...lol...lol...lol...lol...lol...lol...lol...lol

(See, by me adding all those "lol" it made my comment to you even FUNNIER!)

  • OMG.. you are one sorry mofo, SanSooScrub.. what do i care how your name is spelled? You ain't about jack & everyone knows it. That was an accident was gonna write the following:

Jon Surrit is nothting but a waterboy bench riding armchair QB who's too afriad to show his face.. & he knows Steve Lopez would beat him within an inch of his misbegotten life. lol.

  • You are always welcome to visit us up in Oregon and teach a hands on seminar to our students. Maybe you can even teach me a thing or two? We will even let you keep all the money charged for the seminar. The offer has been made to others in the past; but no one has accepted the offer to teach a seminar to our students. You could be the first, if you decide that is something you might want to do. What do you say, Steve Lopez?

If not, then best of luck with your instruction from your teacher.

  • Thanks for the offer, man.. that's big of you.. really. But, not really my thing.. I'm only intersted in big military/ foreign government gigs.. now if you wanna fly me out 1st class & pay me a straight fee for showing my face in the place, maybe we could swing something..

My instructor might be interested tho'.. he loves teaching period.

  • Sure, fly any class you wish to... coach, business class, first class. Save your receipts and expenditures, and you will be reimbursed AFTER you teach the seminar to our students. What San Soo related topic would you like to teach? Email me through AFC Yahoo message board with the details, so we can start the process of setting up a seminar taught by you.

  • You cannot learn the "New San Soo" without an "Old San Soo" foundation. This video shows that, in my opinion. Great video clip, thank you for posting it.

  • your welcome, more to come

  • Old San Soo had a great emphesis on angling, blocking and striking combinations (Dap'ga) which is excellent in the use of real fighting situations. New San Soo, I see as the Fut'ga lessons, which Jimmy taught later. They are the lessons taught to the monks in the monastery. These are highly dangerous techniques and are much more situational by design . They are both from the same base. The concepts should be used together in order to create an effective entrance as well as variety in execution.

  • thanks for the info and the comment.

  • Thanks for sharing the old video footage. I hope to see more clips.

    Thanks again.

  • thanks for the clip. excellent
