i betcha she bought T.V. from sams or wal-mart . I bought mine from sams and it was doing that after just a month . I was lucky , i got my money back . If you spend that much on a t.v. it would be best if buy from sears , best buy , circuit city . Basically a store that specialize in selling electronics . My motta now is , dont buy a t.v. from any place where you can get groceries too .
Nebula72: I am the OP. You have to insist that they replace it. Ours was out of warranty, too, and at first they replaced the controller board which did not solve the problem. Eventually they replaced the entire LCD panel for free. I bypassed their regular customer service and went to their "special" customer service because I complained so much about a $3000 TV dying right after the warranty period. Once I got to that Customer Service area it was no problem.
i have the same tv with the same issue... just after the warranty ran out my 2800$ set starts acting up.. my 20 year old sony is still running issue free. called samsung and they deny any factory flaw.. meanwhile there are countless posts on this subject. ill never buy another samsung again.

The worst thing is I couldnt afford to get one out right soooooo rent a center made 2300.00 on a 800.00 set, and i just got it paid off last dec. Its been dead on my wall for 4 months. Now that sucks dont it? Learned my less real quick.

They say Samsung is the best LCD television, but I look at individuals reviewing their Samsung and it seems like they are just as good as any other. Sad the digital age is forcing us to buy these if you want to avoid a converter box.
