Maybe someone could clarify what the "KJB" has to with with the translation of the Bible. I always thoght they were like the Russian Military Police or something. And, what is a "Manustript-onlyist".  And people claim the K-J-V is hard to read?

Which edition of teh TR?

The KJB wasnt translated from one edtion of the TR. The NKJV leaves phrases out. how is that possible if theyre using the same source? The preface of the nkjv admits they are only using their best guess of what the bible translation committee used in 1611.

The TR used today was made after over 20 years after the KJB. You want to compare the KJB to that?

The Original-Manustript-onlyists are the real ones spreading the propaganda and half truths.

Right, xtclay, and the Greek reader understood a distinction between Gehenna, Hell-fire and Hades, the place of departed souls, or, otherwise, translated as grave. The ignorance would be funny were it not so sad. I guess he thinks Jesus went to hell-fire also in Ac 2:27 & 31.

Sugkrino, I agree, the Greek word in the TR (which KJVO advocates worship) is "hade", aka, "hades". It would appear to me that the NKJV in a sense just transLITERATED the word into English. According to Thayer this word later had uses of, "grave", "death" or "hell". This issue is NOT whether it's different, the issue is what the author meant to say. Simply pointing out a difference and demonizing it without dealing with WHY "grave" is the better English word here COMPLETELY misses the point.

@lodown31 Grave is the better English word because the subject of the chapter is the resurrection of the saints, and there are no saints in Hades. Again, the KJV corrects the Greek.

This guy is stupid. The NKJV uses "Hades" in verse 55 of 1 Cor. 15 instead of "grave" because "Hades" is the Greek word that appears in the original text that was translated.

And the philandering Jack Hyles sits back behind this guy laughing all the way to the bank. It's sad how people are lead around by these ignorant asses.

@xtclay Well then, based upon what you say what I have been taught must be true: The KJV does correct the Greek Texts.
