I'm a Syrian and my people are being slaughtered by a dictator as I speak.. So sometimes when I get sad with what's happening, I watch nina's video and I manage to find hope again.. Keep it up little girl.. :)

We are several hundred kilometers from the Fukushima Nuclear Plant, so we feel like we will be able to stay indoors and ride out the spread of radiation in a worst case scenario event. And, I think they will be able to prevent that, anyway. Unfortunately, for the people living in that area, I think they will have issues dealing with radiation for years to come.

Out of curiosity: Japan is an incredibly homogeneous culture, and my friend (admittedly 100% Caucasian) who lived there for many years experienced bullying from peers even at a young age, despite her fluent japanese/conduct. Has Nina ever had trouble?

@Eggxactly Thanks for the comment! I appreciate it! And, no, so far Nina has not experienced any bullying for being "ha-fu" that I know of, though she's still only in daycare. She is popular and has lots of friends there. I have heard parents of other "ha-fu" kids say there children had experienced some bullying, but most seem able to integrate fairly well. Did your friend grow up here? I'm sorry to hear she was bullied.
