Academics don't make me laugh, OSU requires what a 1.5 to get in, U of M if you don't got about a 3.8 or higher good luck, MSU is something like a 3.3 or higher to have a shot, Michigan Tech, one of the best engineering colleges in the country also cleans OSU's clocks in academics.

How many teams with a winning record did OSU play in the first 8 games? 1? Again, Kent State, Akron, Youngtown State. OSU should have played in the Rose Bowl or something to make room for a real team to play in New Orleans. LSU's non conference was Florida, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Va Tech. Actually UF SC and UK don't count as conference opponents since LSU could have lost all 3 of those games and still gone to the conference title game. Since you are determined to believe(wrongly) that OSU was worth crap this season, I'll humor you, Miss St. beat several very good teams and won their bowl game(unlike someone), Middle Tennessee was defending conference champs and expected to win it again, the other difference is LSU didn't squeak by their cupcake teams like a certain team did.
