@roymaitland -- thanks for this video on protecting bees from insecticides...colony collapse disorder is very worrisome. Agriculture relies totally on bees and other pollinating insects.
I watch this video at least one a quarter! Thank you so very much for taking the time to produce such a fine quality teaching tool.
For two years now I have been working toward self sustainability, and gathering information from where ever I could find it. This video has enlarged my vision.
Seriously, lol. Why is this "Peak Moment." Who are they?--- God? What now, are we in decline b/c you say we were at a "peak," what silliness. WHAT ABOUT the real farmers who were long sustaining people, lol, but who got thrown off land in order to build new suburbs (so people could learn to "garden," and act moralistic about it).. This woman could have cared less about the real farm foreclosures, or what the tobacco acts did to farmers, etc., lol
Animals are property! Never ever give money to Humane Society of the United States, ASPCA, etc.. They use rare cases of poorly kept pets to tug on your heartstrings for money. They then use that money to OUTLAW animal use in any way. It's not only big agriculture that's taking your rights away it is "animal rights" and you are paying them to do it!
@peakmoment Yes I saw everything and learned a lot, but I REALLY was looking forward to a tour of her garden beds. I'm a visual person, so I learned a lot; especially about her watering system, but oh well. :)
Really interesting. I have been wanting bees and everyone I talk to is against it. But watching this, I can see where if I am going to finally get serious about my permaculture gardening techniques, I'll definitely want some bees and worms to share my property with.
@fabrizioorbezo, there is! The Garden Master has created a system where all you need is a 4x6 space to grow a garden to sustain a family and more! Wholesome, organic fruits and veggies with less space, low water and less money. Research The Garden Master.
@Gusupulus So you are saying to do nothing, right? Just like do nothing about the climate. Are you happy with your gasoline mileage? Don't you want the same mileage that they have overseas? Don't you want to end your dependence on your masters?
What be her reasoning for creating a self sustaining garden / living, you do have to admire her? If nothing else if there is a major catastrophe she can take care of herself and her family. Can you say the same?
guy in jail for bank robbery writes wife ...i dont know where the money is but dont dig up the back yard...cops come round dig up the whole backyard...writes wife ...ok plant the potatoes
Fantastic water barrel system! Your giving me so many ideas! Thanks! Love your garden. Check out my still small yet neat and growing garden. It can be found by searching 'Rebecca's Square Foot Garden'. There are 4 videos....all have unique footage. I currently have 5 4x4 beds and am in the process of adding 6 more. I hope to expand until I have no more grass in my backyard!
Let's just say the climate is changing and/or the globe is warming (don't want to get in to that issue). The issue to focus on is the CAUSE of any climate change that "might" be happening. Way back when, they say there was some sort of an ice-age and the climate changed. It couldn't have been because of too many SUVs back then, or because of Exxon or Halliburton, so why are we to believe that is the case now?
@MrKanataMan I know.... What is sad is the climate deniers just don't understand... even if the scientists are wrong, the BEST that can happen is we end up with cleaner air, water, food, etc,. But if they are wrong and we do nothing? What then? The nihilistic god will destroy the world so it doesn't matter, anyway? They'll all be raptured? Somehow, I don't believe God is that evil.
@Gusupulus (Part of) the tax money provides us services we take as granted. Like schools or roads. On the other side the profits of the big energy-companies are flowing for nearly 100% (due to tax tricks) into the pockets of very few people. And they don't use it for consumption mainly too. All those large bubbles on the markets we see are a consequence. But thats another story...
I sure would love it if you would have shown HOW you grew your potatoes and explain how you grew the cauliflower. That type of information would be a way to help people to learn how to do the same. One person at a time. If you have a web site with your growing instructions I would love to check it out. Thanks
If I were there I'd make a hardware store run and pick up some float valves for toilette tanks and set them up to fill the lower rain barrels automatically. Being forced to fill them manually while it's raining could get tiresome.
@Gusupulus, there's no question those in power will do what they can to use the situation to their advantage, just as you say. But that's a separate issue from the physical dynamics happening around us, including the decline of cheap oil, topsoil, large ocean fish, phosphates for agriculture, and increasing CO2 loads in the atmosphere.
I don't believe in the "global warming" alarm that's ringing strong in our world today either, but I certainly think that there is plenty to be said for responsible, sensible, sustainable lifestyles, such as composting, gardening, etc. Thank you for posting these educational videos. :)
The natural world with regards to humans is ONE MAN and ONE WOMAN =BABY=NATURAL. Global Climate Change along with record increases of hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, tsunamis, floods are warning signs for the world. It is not an environmental problem but it is an awakening for mankind to see their errors of SIN. One of those SINS is the killing of unborn babies and another is same sex attraction. Both UNNATURAL, SINFUL, AND DEADLY TO SOCIETY !
Interesting that NASA remarks that the lower 48 comprise 1.5% of the world area. All of arctic Canada is about 1/3 the size of the lower 48 has exactly ONE reporting station used by GISS. They have ovr 130 stations in Arctic Canada. This is the equal to using Dallas Airport, Ohare, and LAX to represent the entire US. The 1 station is the one with the highest temp incr. since 1980. If we could get transparent data, and scientists who swear off outside funding, maybe we could get trustworthy info

"Global Warming" is a GIANT LIE! It's super cold outside, even in Texas and Florida. Even if it were true, paying increased taxes would never solve that sort of problem.
@SCLARK2112, it's more accurately called Global Climate Change or chaos. It is characterized by more extreme weather events, exactly as you describe. 2010 was the hottest year on record. The Arctic polar ice is melting. Moscow had the hottest summer on record and massive wildfires. Snow across 2/3 of America, including the south? Record floods in Pakistan? Extreme weather events and destabilization.
@SCLARK2112 Whether Global Warming/ Climate Change is a lie or not, we should all still do our best to leave a clean healthy Earth for the generations to come. Pesticides and factory farming still poison the land in a way that raising meat and eggs yourself does not. I'm sure you wouldn't advocate littering, right? So let'snot litter our planet with poisons either. Plus, there's just something so satisfying about raising your own food and not being dependent on others.

@ftalbert1 I think SCLARK2112 means that taxing the people isn't going to help anything, I agree. I also agree that people need to stop poisoning the planet and start being self sustainable. With all that said global warming or climate change or whatever they call it these days is just propaganda to make people feel bad about everything they do.
@SCLARK2112 The change in temperature is occuring in the arctic regions. Ice is melting faster than snow can replenish it, that cannot be refuted. Now, if humans have any effect on or even ~can~ affect global temperature is a whole different question. My guess is no, but that's just me.
@SCLARK2112 You are right Global warming is a lie. But there is a population explosion that will run into the food supply as soon as there are a couple of bad years around the planet. Grow your own garden and you will be ready or at least better prepared. Get a gun if you can handle it. And remember if it isn't getting warmer it is probably getting cooler that is what this planet (or the sun) does, varies.
rising temperatures? even the most leftest liberal doesn't try to perpetuate that lie anymore, it's no longer called "GLOBAL WARMING" because it's proving to not be warming after all, it's called "CLIMATE CHANGE" like as if WE caused it, instead of admitting that the climate has been in constant flux since the creation of the world, it's just the way God made it to work, get over it, scaremongers.
@martiebaby, NOAA report just out indicates 2010 is tied with 2005 for warmest year despite solar minimum (2010), and nine of the hottest ten years were in the last decade. Also, record rainfall in 2010.
Of course the climate has been in flux since the very beginning. We're looking at additional fluctuations that correlate directly with the burning of carbon fuels. Haven't had this much carbon in the atmosphere in 100,000 years, and it took 10,000 years to restabilize.
@peakmoment Wow! I'd like to get my hands on those reports from 100,000 yrs ago, who was it that was keeping records back then?Duh! You scaremongers are a joke, and the record rainfall has to do with chemtrails not because people are driving suvs. If you really want to clean up the earth and protect life on earth and earth itself, direct your concerns there. Stop them from poisoning us and fucking with the weather. Global warming is a non-issue, chemical spraying however is a terrifying reality.
@QuantumProphet you're an idiot, you can't collect water from a time that didn't exist. Go back through the generations and do your math, Noah wasn't here 100,000 thousand years ago, and even if you collected ice from the arctic (which you misspelled by the way) you wouldn't know what time period it came from or even what the whether conditions were at any given time. Maybe you need a little more education yourself. huh?
@dgd187 this is what they said when discussing the impending ice age in the seventies with the solutions of covering the ice caps in the artic with black ash to absorb more sunlight...what a disaster that would have been.
@dbt467 I would never endorse covering the ice caps with black ash.. Although I find a lot of homour in that. Anyhow, the action I suggest is to stop raping the environment. For example change the way we get from one place to another (mass public transit - I'd gladly park my car), find alternatives to plastics etc.
@martiebaby Whether God or Man cause climate change, wouldn't you like to have more fuel efficient cars? Cleaner air? Less contaminated food? Purer water? Really, even if the climate people are wrong, the best thing that can happen when we go "green" is we get all these other benefits. If you're wrong? What happens then? Your children will suffer. Not caring about what happens to this planet because God will destroy it eventually is a nihilist point of view.
@MrRobertGulabo Who said anything about not caring about what happens to the planet or that God will destroy it? Are you a stereotyper or what? It isn't about cleaning up the earth, it's about control, control of the government over it's citizens, why would you want that? Are you so blind that you think you won't be caught in that web as well? Why lie about the earths temperature being a problem?
@MrRobertGulabo Why not just show how we can clean up the earth to have a healthier earth, something everyone should want? Why spread bullshit about the sky falling. "oh my god, the earth is melting, everyone panic" It's sickening and pathetic. Why not just go green because it's better not only for the earth but for humans to simplify and not poison our waters and soil? There are reasons they want us to believe the global warming myth, and push propaganda like this to reach their goals. Wake up!
Free energy has been here all along ,But there are very powerfull forces that want to supress the technology,Get a motor that needs no gas or electric input at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Free yourself!
I don't have the time or energy to grow my own food because I am too busy fighting off morons who still deny the proven fact and theory of Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW). Exterminating these subhumans is a much more practical solution to the advancement of civilization and ending hunger than any piddling amount of tomatoes I can grow in my two square meters of garden space.
@deskset24 Whenever I hear insane racist murder talk I know I found a Clara Massa account. Did you tell the folks here that your going to pull your fatwear pants down in the middle of the day and crap on your plant?
@Dayversion So, you tracked me down here to this place?
Get your mom's penis out of your mouth, you unpatriotic freedom-hating anti-American shithead. You know nothing about sacrifice.
Personally, I don't give a damn about organic farming (you'd know that if you learned how to read my other posts). My "crapping" alternative idea is only for idiots who feel they still need to keep a chicken or pig around to crap on their fields. Frankly, BOTH should be banned.
@deskset24 Hi Clara, another account for this alter style. After you crapped on your plant would the tissues be a part of the fertilizer or do you not use tissues? I also wanted to ask you, did you Montauk chair to Maryland to the Discovery channel office? Or was the guy "you" as you shapeshifted?
@deskset24 If you get a greenhouse and elevate the CO2 to 2000ppm you will be able to grow masses of tomatoes and cucumbers...plants thrive on the stuff...give it a go it is a wonderful way of chiiling out...
@Spitfiremacx But that's physically impossible, because according to you and all the anthropogenic global warming (AGW) deniers, the greenhouse effect does not exist. Therefore, you and Dayversion don't believe in greenhouses.
@deskset24 The greenhouse keeps the CO2 in for the plants to thrive on you numpty...the glass of the house is a physical barrier to keep the convected heat from escaping into the atmosphere you are as green as you are cabbage like then...i suggest you do a little research into physics and biology to glean a little information of how a complex system like earth self regulates and provides ideal conditions for man to exist.
@Spitfiremacx And I suggest you do a LOT of research (not just a little) on anthropogenic global warming, publish a few papers on the subject if you really do have a better theory, before you claim you can beat the proven experts at the WMO and NASA and Greenpeace and IPCC on the subject. All you do is spout bullshit generalities. But you can't do math. I can.
@deskset24 Brilliant you can do math...can you do some and find the 'missing heat budget' Google it and calculate how many Joules of energy have gone 'walkies' and let me know how settled the science is...
@deskset24 1 square meter is all I need to grow all the tomatoes I can eat. I grow peppers and herbs in my living room window. You sound like you might just be lazy? You can hang out here all you like but you won't be "Exterminating " anyone. Hate to tell you friend.
@KnighttVision I (and nobody else) can live on just tomatoes. You don't sound practical at all. I hate to tell you my friend, but feeding ourselves - whether agriculture or hydroponics or bioengineering food in a lab - is a massively difficult and complex COLLECTIVE effort. All the more reason to end the horror of breeding whole animals driven insane by confinement. All humans who are loyal to this cause are the intelligent courageous ones. All others are stupid cowardly traitors.
@deskNut I agree it's better to hunt for your dinner then to eat the meat from the store. lol
But it's not hard to do gardening. I promise you! Did you see the lady's potatoes in the video? It's not hard at all. i do that all the time. i have a rainwater system like in the video too. Anyone can collect rainwater. Just pull off the downspout and stick a garbage can under it. lol You can even make an overflow on it to go back to the original drain. total cost $10 Quit telling people not to garden
@NutVision I have nothing against people doing their own gardening. The more the better, even if *I* can't, because I seem to have a huge apetite that eats up $12 or more per day on food. But, that those efforts are STILL woefully inadequate to deal with the many environmental/social/etc problems brought on by world human overpopulation. Only TOUGH LAWS against reproducing (targeting MEN mostly) will solve these problems. Or tough military action, like that guy took in Silver Spring MD.
All these sustainability folks have their fancy gardens and nice pretty videos to show off what they do ...up there in Oregon, Washington State, or Idaho.
How about we see if this kind of thing can be done in Oklahoma? Our June, July, and August months are pure hell. Everyone seems to abandon their "sustainable project" during these hot months.
For crying out loud, the ladies are wearing coats in this video. And look how nice their soil is! Try growing all that in clay!
@Nobious2 check out Earthship Biotechture (they have a website and Youtube channel). For over 30 years Earthship has been solving the problem of building homes from recycled materials that gather rainfall, heat and cool themselves, and grow food year round in any climate (New Mexico, Montana, plains states, and more). Even if you don't build an Earthship you can get plans and info that might help with your climate challenges. Good luck! PS - I've also dealt with clay - add old manure and hay.
Excellent video, thanks. I'm looking forward to finding my couple of acres in the country and fulfilling my dreams from the 70's about 'going back to the earth'. Won't be long. In the meantime, I see young people rushing to jobs, commuting an hour or more sometimes, the extended family taking the burden of kid care...how could they begin to grow back to the earth I wonder.
I believe in being a good steward of what we are blessed with but peak oil, global warming, over population, and all that other tree hugger stuff is pure crap. I do like what she is doing in the fact that she is making good use of her land.
@TheHabit00, report just out - see Bloomberg BusinessWeek(dot)com June 2 "World Is at Warmest on Record, NASA’s Hansen Says (Update1) -- The global temperature this year reached its warmest on record based on a 12-month-rolling average, James Hansen, the top climate change scientist at the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration, said today. “Record high global temperature during the period with instrumental data was reached in 2010"
@peakmoment And much of that data was collected and averaged in from sites where sensors were close to artificial heat sources like parking lots or heat exchangers or car parks.
I'm all for a clean environment and searching for healthy renewable sustainable technology and non polluting energy production. Lets do it for the right reasons, not based on bad science and hype.
@dbt467, reports out a month ago: first half of 2010 hottest on record. Climate change isn't just about temperatures, but about higher carbon levels in the atmosphere, throwing many systems out of the balance we've enjoyed for thousands of years...causing weather EXTREMES, acid oceans, melting glaciers.
We also have to be very cautious about the cause of climate change - there is no doubt change. But I believe that the evidence for the change being caused by increased solar activity is much greater than the evidence for carbon levels sparking change. Still, the system of caloric use and waste in the world must be changed.
98 was the hottest year, things have been cooling since. Anyway your CO2 global warming is a white-collar scam, Pier Corbyn have proved that over many times.
@johnsenkenn, don't we wish it were just a scam. Then it could just disappear. Global climate change -- not warming -- is characterized by extremes -- like the 100-year floods that happen now every decade. Extraordinary flooding in Pakistan, currently unseasonably cold weather in the southern US, melting permafrost in Siberia, the hottest summer in Moscow since recording began. It's not a theory to be proven, it's planetary information and changes even the mainstream media is acknowledging.
@peakmoment yeah too bad hacks had to put out propaganda (hockey stick) and forget about or obstruct peer review, and eliminate data that didnt match up. Oh and that little trouble with the middle ages being warmer, and the ice caps actually growing in ice. oh and by the way, suggesting that the mainstream media getting on board when they are the chief propangadist doesnt add much to your argument.
this is an awsome video! I just started my first "expirament" garden and i have a lot to learn lol. My squash is doing well though! Anyways, I would love to at least get to where this wonderful woman is, if not even more and live like the amish (just not with their religion).
so many people use roof runoff for their water source. roof runoff is toxic. it contains, among other things: asbestos, heavy leads like cadmium and lead, mercury, sulfates and sulfites. if you want to collect water on your roof, you must have a galvanized metal surface. if you don't, the water is not fit for gardens grown for food. i think there are very expensive filtering water systems, most people use barrels(bpa leaching if high density polyethylene; only use low density polyethylene.)
@peakmoment well, since fungus(i forgot to list this) is also a concern, i'm not sure. some wood shingles are asphalt-based and/or contain a fungicide which is supposed to be toxic. i was wondering about slate roofs as well. fecal matter is also a concern with roof runoff but since cats and birds usually use veg gardens for toilets, what's the difference?
@3bdura7man i would check with a roofer to see what kind of sealant or other treatment is used on flagstone or ceramic roofs. also, for those with wood shingle roofs, i forgot to mention above that a fire retardant is applied to the wood, so that might be a concern.
@grofys Like to kow where you buy your shingles from! yes they are mmade from those products but did you actually analyse tha water. Its better then the county.
@dandoran59 i don't have wood shingles; someone i was responding to did. i did an analysis from my roof. i am not telling anyone not to collect rain water from his roof; i am just telling you what's in the runoff. people are free to do what they want.
I am utterly in love with this series of vids. THANK YOU, for posting these up. Admittedly, upon viewing the nomenclature, I was a bit skeptical. But after watching several of your vids, I'm excited. You're showing how normal, everyday folk are contributing to the ethic of sustainability. Whether it be a rental house garden chock full of edible and medicinal plants or a unique, homemade, gravity-feed rain-water cache system, your videos exemplify what true, individual sustainability IS.
@abrythenabry The show is interesting and her questions are relevant but, even though it's a talk-show format personally I think she participates too much with her own insight and her "mmm's" and "Oooooh's" interrupt the flow of the talk quite frequently- sometimes the interviwees even seem to lose their train of thought. This is just a personal view and I think the series is great.
Do I need to add anything to my rainwater. How long is it good for the crops? What about chickens? I found some dead mesquitos in my barrel - is that bad? Thanks for any info .
@jn737ax238, Judy says: "Like anything else, it is about juggling priorities. Would
you rather be healthy, or sustainable? Would you rather consume tap water, with chlorine in it, or harvest rain off your roof, using PVC pipes, and perhaps ingest something from the system, while conserving a precious resource.
There is so often not a good answer, just one's own answer.. looking at the conundrums that living in our toxic world with all the hard to resolve questions that abound..."
absolutly; I grow my own stuff but growing out of fear means a person will stop once the threat is gone . farming/gardening should be a constant ideology
How about growing your own food because of governments ruining economies--which is real, instead of growing your own food because man is destroying the temperature--which is false?
Excellent video. It stresses the importance of preparation and learning in advance. It's important to remember what works in Port Townsend may not work in Peoria, Phoenix, or Philadelphia.
How does the fact that modern civilizations pollute the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat promote "worldwide socialism"
Everything we do to the earth, we do to ourselves. How can we assume that we won't be negatively affected by our suicidal actions?
The global elite want profits and power. They aren't going to stop clear cutting or drilling for oil. I guess it just comes down to whether or not you think we should "reform" and "go green!" or dismantle the system entirely.
@tink037 Hey hun, im a trainee Naturopath. There are plenty of real environmental crisis and humans have a large impact on their environment. I am concerned about genetic engineering, pollution through sewage, waste and biodiversity loss, but the idea that humans are polluting the atmosphere through CO2 production is nonsense. Carbon is the basis of all life, it is what humans exhale and plants breathe. Can you imagine taxes on carbon? Everything will be taxed and regulated. EVERYTHING
@MaNarchicDRAKE I wasn't specifically talking about CO2. I'm talking about any type of toxin that is harmful to living beings being put into the air and water in the name of profits. Oil in the Gulf for instance. The "dispersants" that they sprayed on it that is making them sick. We knowingly poison ourselves. Toxic chemicals are biproducts and ingrediants of civilization's products
I'm am NOT calling for taxes on CO2 emissions. Carbon and carbondioxide are competely different I'm sure you know

She's a false prophet. She clearly stated she'd drop "dirty" water (ie. after the "cleaning paint brushes") in the driveway so that she would not contaminate her garden. Al Gore would turn in his grave if he wasn't still alive.
The statement about it being fun, is a good statement. We had so much fun with our little garden this year.
Our summer was so hot that came on early, that our garden did not do as well as it could have. But, we just left it all and so much has started producing again, in September. So we are harvesting again.
rain alone causes runoff from your garden naturally which is ok. what i was concerned about was her washing her paint brushes or any non-organic chemicals going into the local water sources. pets and small animals could try to drink water from the driveway as well. other than that this woman is a saint and an inspiration to me.
thanks for the great video! this is great! we should all start doing this, especially with this uneasy economy! fruit trees as well! thanks peak moment!
I always wondered that myself you know. They sell absolute garbage yet I wonder what they eat themselves. If I it was up to me they'd be eating the garbage they produce.
Even worse than the quality is the fact that they are producing strains that only THEY can reproduce so they can slowly take control of ALL the food. I suggest everyone purchase heritage seeds of sufficient abundance to produce any plant food you need to sustain yourself. The Monsantos of the world need to be destroyed before they take over all of our food!
did u hear monsanto illegally bribing the indonesian gov 1 million to allow sterile rice patties into their food system! this means when the indonesian farmers stop buying the GM rice patties then MASS FAMINE WILL ENSUE! its really quite evil! talk about popoulation control! its disgusting! tons of people will probably die because of this in the future, probably here to, GM STERILE FOODS SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED! u need plant reproduction for continous food!
Yes, Ive heard about this, they call it the terminator gene. It will be used so crops last only 1 season and seeds will need to be purchased instead of collected and stored.
As much of an outrage as this news already is, the real danger is that this gene has a potential of finding its way into land-race crops all over the world thru natural crossbreeding. Especially in places like Mexico where farmers purposely plant near land-race maze to add in the diversity and resistances of the wild breed.
monsanto a evil genetically modifying company created sterile rice. it is rice that cannot make more rice, the seeds are not able to reproduce next year. this is very bad when the seeds are not bought then there will be no more rice. im sure its not all rice patties but alot of farmers are buying them.
@jon no u got some links,i heard recently the gmo corn causes organ failure in animals and humans.its terrible,i say we all lead an organic seed revolution like johnny apple seed and we spread the organic seed all over our great country till its covered with food, spread it everywhere abandoned areas and to the hills, that way if we plant more organic seeds than there are GMO we will water down the GMO crops for good, and keep the precious genetic lines ancient man made for us!spread the seed NOW!
hemp, canibas seed oil, THC, Tea, Biomass.... i use all of the weed when i grow. I encourage that all of us home growers(weed and other plants) use all of the plant even if its to convert it into ethanol or methanol(wood ethanol).
self sufficiency.. I love it.

Happy Gardening!

I can't believe there are still climate change deniers around! Wow. My faith in humanity is plummeting....
MrKanataMan 11 months ago 2
@MrKanataMan
Let's just say the climate is changing and/or the globe is warming (don't want to get in to that issue). The issue to focus on is the CAUSE of any climate change that "might" be happening. Way back when, they say there was some sort of an ice-age and the climate changed. It couldn't have been because of too many SUVs back then, or because of Exxon or Halliburton, so why are we to believe that is the case now?
deasttn 10 months ago

SCLARK2112 1 year ago
@SCLARK2112, it's more accurately called Global Climate Change or chaos. It is characterized by more extreme weather events, exactly as you describe. 2010 was the hottest year on record. The Arctic polar ice is melting. Moscow had the hottest summer on record and massive wildfires. Snow across 2/3 of America, including the south? Record floods in Pakistan? Extreme weather events and destabilization.
peakmoment 1 year ago 23

With all that said global warming or climate change or whatever they call it these days is just propaganda to make people feel bad about everything they do.
informationwarfare 7 months ago
@SCLARK2112 The change in temperature is occuring in the arctic regions. Ice is melting faster than snow can replenish it, that cannot be refuted. Now, if humans have any effect on or even ~can~ affect global temperature is a whole different question. My guess is no, but that's just me.

@SCLARK2112 You are right Global warming is a lie. But there is a population explosion that will run into the food supply as soon as there are a couple of bad years around the planet. Grow your own garden and you will be ready or at least better prepared. Get a gun if you can handle it. And remember if it isn't getting warmer it is probably getting cooler that is what this planet (or the sun) does, varies.

rising temperatures? even the most leftest liberal doesn't try to perpetuate that lie anymore, it's no longer called "GLOBAL WARMING" because it's proving to not be warming after all, it's called "CLIMATE CHANGE" like as if WE caused it, instead of admitting that the climate has been in constant flux since the creation of the world, it's just the way God made it to work, get over it, scaremongers.
martiebaby 1 year ago
@martiebaby, NOAA report just out indicates 2010 is tied with 2005 for warmest year despite solar minimum (2010), and nine of the hottest ten years were in the last decade. Also, record rainfall in 2010.
Of course the climate has been in flux since the very beginning. We're looking at additional fluctuations that correlate directly with the burning of carbon fuels. Haven't had this much carbon in the atmosphere in 100,000 years, and it took 10,000 years to restabilize.
peakmoment 1 year ago 13
@peakmoment Wow! I'd like to get my hands on those reports from 100,000 yrs ago, who was it that was keeping records back then?Duh! You scaremongers are a joke, and the record rainfall has to do with chemtrails not because people are driving suvs. If you really want to clean up the earth and protect life on earth and earth itself, direct your concerns there. Stop them from poisoning us and fucking with the weather. Global warming is a non-issue, chemical spraying however is a terrifying reality.

@martiebaby It is called science buddy, we can collect frozzen water from that era, it is in the artic....besides Noah was a scientist, LOL
QuantumProphet 7 months ago
@QuantumProphet you're an idiot, you can't collect water from a time that didn't exist. Go back through the generations and do your math, Noah wasn't here 100,000 thousand years ago, and even if you collected ice from the arctic (which you misspelled by the way) you wouldn't know what time period it came from or even what the whether conditions were at any given time. Maybe you need a little more education yourself. huh?
martiebaby 7 months ago
@martiebaby We'll likely never know the truth about global warming in our lifetimes, however the price of inaction could be catastrophic.
dgd187 1 year ago
@dgd187 this is what they said when discussing the impending ice age in the seventies with the solutions of covering the ice caps in the artic with black ash to absorb more sunlight...what a disaster that would have been.
dbt467 1 year ago
@dbt467 I would never endorse covering the ice caps with black ash.. Although I find a lot of homour in that. Anyhow, the action I suggest is to stop raping the environment. For example change the way we get from one place to another (mass public transit - I'd gladly park my car), find alternatives to plastics etc.
dgd784 1 year ago
@martiebaby Whether God or Man cause climate change, wouldn't you like to have more fuel efficient cars? Cleaner air? Less contaminated food? Purer water? Really, even if the climate people are wrong, the best thing that can happen when we go "green" is we get all these other benefits. If you're wrong? What happens then? Your children will suffer. Not caring about what happens to this planet because God will destroy it eventually is a nihilist point of view.
MrRobertGulabo 9 months ago in playlist homestead rules!
Why lie about the earths temperature being a problem?
martiebaby 9 months ago
@MrRobertGulabo Why not just show how we can clean up the earth to have a healthier earth, something everyone should want? Why spread bullshit about the sky falling. "oh my god, the earth is melting, everyone panic" It's sickening and pathetic. Why not just go green because it's better not only for the earth but for humans to simplify and not poison our waters and soil? There are reasons they want us to believe the global warming myth, and push propaganda like this to reach their goals. Wake up!

@deskset24 If you get a greenhouse and elevate the CO2 to 2000ppm you will be able to grow masses of tomatoes and cucumbers...plants thrive on the stuff...give it a go it is a wonderful way of chiiling out...
Spitfiremacx 1 year ago
@Spitfiremacx But that's physically impossible, because according to you and all the anthropogenic global warming (AGW) deniers, the greenhouse effect does not exist. Therefore, you and Dayversion don't believe in greenhouses.
deskset24 1 year ago
@deskset24 The greenhouse keeps the CO2 in for the plants to thrive on you numpty...the glass of the house is a physical barrier to keep the convected heat from escaping into the atmosphere you are as green as you are cabbage like then...i suggest you do a little research into physics and biology to glean a little information of how a complex system like earth self regulates and provides ideal conditions for man to exist.
Spitfiremacx 1 year ago
@Spitfiremacx And I suggest you do a LOT of research (not just a little) on anthropogenic global warming, publish a few papers on the subject if you really do have a better theory, before you claim you can beat the proven experts at the WMO and NASA and Greenpeace and IPCC on the subject. All you do is spout bullshit generalities. But you can't do math. I can.
deskset24 1 year ago
@deskset24 Brilliant you can do math...can you do some and find the 'missing heat budget' Google it and calculate how many Joules of energy have gone 'walkies' and let me know how settled the science is...

@deskset24 1 square meter is all I need to grow all the tomatoes I can eat. I grow peppers and herbs in my living room window. You sound like you might just be lazy? You can hang out here all you like but you won't be "Exterminating " anyone. Hate to tell you friend.
KnighttVision 1 year ago
@KnighttVision I (and nobody else) can live on just tomatoes. You don't sound practical at all. I hate to tell you my friend, but feeding ourselves - whether agriculture or hydroponics or bioengineering food in a lab - is a massively difficult and complex COLLECTIVE effort. All the more reason to end the horror of breeding whole animals driven insane by confinement. All humans who are loyal to this cause are the intelligent courageous ones. All others are stupid cowardly traitors.
deskset24 1 year ago
@deskNut I agree it's better to hunt for your dinner then to eat the meat from the store. lol
But it's not hard to do gardening. I promise you! Did you see the lady's potatoes in the video? It's not hard at all. i do that all the time. i have a rainwater system like in the video too. Anyone can collect rainwater. Just pull off the downspout and stick a garbage can under it. lol You can even make an overflow on it to go back to the original drain. total cost $10 Quit telling people not to garden
KnighttVision 1 year ago
@NutVision I have nothing against people doing their own gardening. The more the better, even if *I* can't, because I seem to have a huge apetite that eats up $12 or more per day on food. But, that those efforts are STILL woefully inadequate to deal with the many environmental/social/etc problems brought on by world human overpopulation. Only TOUGH LAWS against reproducing (targeting MEN mostly) will solve these problems. Or tough military action, like that guy took in Silver Spring MD.

peakmoment 1 year ago
@peakmoment And much of that data was collected and averaged in from sites where sensors were close to artificial heat sources like parking lots or heat exchangers or car parks.

@peakmoment This is of course after we actually experienced 10 yrs of global cooling.
dbt467 1 year ago
@dbt467, reports out a month ago: first half of 2010 hottest on record. Climate change isn't just about temperatures, but about higher carbon levels in the atmosphere, throwing many systems out of the balance we've enjoyed for thousands of years...causing weather EXTREMES, acid oceans, melting glaciers.
peakmoment 1 year ago
@peakmoment
We also have to be very cautious about the cause of climate change - there is no doubt change. But I believe that the evidence for the change being caused by increased solar activity is much greater than the evidence for carbon levels sparking change. Still, the system of caloric use and waste in the world must be changed.
ausrotten9 1 year ago 4
@peakmoment
98 was the hottest year, things have been cooling since. Anyway your CO2 global warming is a white-collar scam, Pier Corbyn have proved that over many times.
johnsenkenn 1 year ago
@johnsenkenn, don't we wish it were just a scam. Then it could just disappear. Global climate change -- not warming -- is characterized by extremes -- like the 100-year floods that happen now every decade. Extraordinary flooding in Pakistan, currently unseasonably cold weather in the southern US, melting permafrost in Siberia, the hottest summer in Moscow since recording began. It's not a theory to be proven, it's planetary information and changes even the mainstream media is acknowledging.
peakmoment 1 year ago
@peakmoment
Ahhh.....climate change, not warming. Just take a little time and read Pier Corbyn, and get a lot wiser, if you don't live in total denial.
johnsenkenn 1 year ago
@peakmoment yeah too bad hacks had to put out propaganda (hockey stick) and forget about or obstruct peer review, and eliminate data that didnt match up. so many people use roof runoff for their water source. roof runoff is toxic. it contains, among other things: asbestos, heavy leads like cadmium and lead, mercury, sulfates and sulfites. if you want to collect water on your roof, you must have a galvanized metal surface. if you don't, the water is not fit for gardens grown for food. i think there are very expensive filtering water systems, most people use barrels(bpa leaching if high density polyethylene; only use low density polyethylene.)

@grofys thanks for this information. Is this true for wood shingle roofs as well?
peakmoment 1 year ago
@peakmoment well, since fungus(i forgot to list this) is also a concern, i'm not sure. some wood shingles are asphalt-based and/or contain a fungicide which is supposed to be toxic. i was wondering about slate roofs as well. fecal matter is also a concern with roof runoff but since cats and birds usually use veg gardens for toilets, what's the difference?

How does the fact that modern civilizations pollute the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat promote "worldwide socialism"
Everything we do to the earth, we do to ourselves. How can we assume that we won't be negatively affected by our suicidal actions?
The global elite want profits and power. They aren't going to stop clear cutting or drilling for oil. I guess it just comes down to whether or not you think we should "reform" and "go green!" or dismantle the system entirely.

it's ok the world is really flat.

EVERYTHING
MaNarchicDRAKE 1 year ago
@MaNarchicDRAKE I wasn't specifically talking about CO2. I'm talking about any type of toxin that is harmful to living beings being put into the air and water in the name of profits. Oil in the Gulf for instance. The "dispersants" that they sprayed on it that is making them sick. We knowingly poison ourselves. Toxic chemicals are biproducts and ingrediants of civilization's products
I'm am NOT calling for taxes on CO2 emissions. Carbon and carbondioxide are competely different I'm sure you know

This comment has received too many negative votes show
She's a false prophet. She clearly stated she'd drop "dirty" water (ie. after the "cleaning paint brushes") in the driveway so that she would not contaminate her garden. Al Gore would turn in his grave if he wasn't still alive.

Awsome! Im going to do that to!

The statement about it being fun, is a good statement. We had so much fun with our little garden this year.
Our summer was so hot that came on early, that our garden did not do as well as it could have. But, we just left it all and so much has started producing again, in September. So we are harvesting again.

don't dump dirty water in your driveway that runs to local rivers. dump it in your toilet where it can get treated (hopefully well).
jesse2006 2 years ago
Good thinking -- be aware of what you're sending into your local waterway. I suppose runoff from your garden (if you didn't use pesticides) is okay?
peakmoment 2 years ago
rain alone causes runoff from your garden naturally which is ok. what i was concerned about was her washing her paint brushes or any non-organic chemicals going into the local water sources. pets and small animals could try to drink water from the driveway as well. other than that this woman is a saint and an inspiration to me.

thanks for the great video! this is great! we should all start doing this, especially with this uneasy economy! fruit trees as well! thanks peak moment!

Down with Monsantos, Void all patenting of any/all forms of life, Label genetically modified foods!!!
i wanna know what the people at monsantos feed their family... i bet its not mcdonalds
MonoAoV 2 years ago 29
I always wondered that myself you know. They sell absolute garbage yet I wonder what they eat themselves. If I it was up to me they'd be eating the garbage they produce.
LogionTheos 2 years ago 4
Even worse than the quality is the fact that they are producing strains that only THEY can reproduce so they can slowly take control of ALL the food. I suggest everyone purchase heritage seeds of sufficient abundance to produce any plant food you need to sustain yourself. The Monsantos of the world need to be destroyed before they take over all of our food!
YerAlwaysWrong 2 years ago 4
did u hear monsanto illegally bribing the indonesian gov 1 million to allow sterile rice patties into their food system! this means when the indonesian farmers stop buying the GM rice patties then MASS FAMINE WILL ENSUE! its really quite evil! talk about popoulation control! its disgusting! tons of people will probably die because of this in the future, probably here to, GM STERILE FOODS SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED! u need plant reproduction for continous food!
boxa888 2 years ago 5
Yes, Ive heard about this, they call it the terminator gene. It will be used so crops last only 1 season and seeds will need to be purchased instead of collected and stored.
As much of an outrage as this news already is, the real danger is that this gene has a potential of finding its way into land-race crops all over the world thru natural crossbreeding. Especially in places like Mexico where farmers purposely plant near land-race maze to add in the diversity and resistances of the wild breed.

i am a rice farmer in sri lanka, what is "sterile rice"?
tamildeztiny 2 years ago
monsanto a evil genetically modifying company created sterile rice. it is rice that cannot make more rice, the seeds are not able to reproduce next year. this is very bad when the seeds are not bought then there will be no more rice. im sure its not all rice patties but alot of farmers are buying them.

Have you read what happens when animals are feed with GMO, it's horrible.
