@animeHEAT You would not be the first one to pair them up. The people from forums and other places of AcexLuffy were interesting to watch when Ace and Luffy's parentage was finally revealed. There were those who were like "Yay its not considered incest anymore!" and then there was the other group who were like "Boo! Now its not incest anymore!"

Pairings are a crazy topic when it comes to games, anime and manga that's for sure.

The reason Alvida and Luffy doesn't work is because while Alvida likes him Luffy doesn't even notice/care. Luffy and Vivi could work if there was any chemistry between the two but there really isn't. The yaoi pairings remind me of this odd detail that seems to stick in yaoi fangirls' heads: 'If they're best friends, they HAVE to be a couple' I'm a LuNami fan myself but that's because at points I actually do see a bit of a spark between them. Nami seems to be the kind who tolerates him in secret.
