  • Am I the only one who feels stupid for having to look this up lol

  • thnx buddy !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • After it says ink cartridge is running low, when I replaced the new cartridge. What is the problem?

  • i just bought the canon mp280 there is a line on pictures on the same corner ,any idea?

  • THANK YOU!!

  • OMG! what a piece of sh_t! Who designed this printer? Put that person in torture chamber for 5 days! WTF!

OK this is what you do. From off state, close everything, top side, front side, everything. Turn it on. Wait to hear all the things this stupid thing do, wait... Once all is done. Open the front and the top. WAIT! the inks will move to the left. When it stop then change them.

  • canon printers are suck!!! i have 1 @ home it always low on ink and always error!!!

  • @MrNerio2002 Canon printers do suck! I wish I had bought another Epson printer, but a friend owned a Canon printer which was on was on and quiet. Little did I know I would print half the # of pages with the Canon. I bought more cartridges in one year than I bought in 2 years with my Epson so I quit buying them until now...I will purchase an Epson this year after my research is done. I won't even go into the installation process since I lost the instructions. Thanks for your help.

  • I paused at 8 seconds and that was all I needed to know. However the whole process of switch printer on, open this panel, wait for cartridges to align should really be shown. Thanks though for the help.

  • Yeah, you should've mentioned that the printer was on, and you should have shown how to open the printer up, but that was easy once I figured out the beginning. Took 30 seconds, don't know how some people screwed up so badly.

  • my cartridge just falls in when i try to lift it

  • fuck me sideways

the printer was supposed to be on??? damn i gotta buy a new printer

  • *throws printer out of his window*

  • My local staples doesn't even sell the 37 & 38. they sold me the 40 & 41 and I can't get the @#%*! things to fit!

  • You saved my life.

  • and if i want to add more ink i dont need to get the other some how?

  • Thank you! Spent ten minutes trying to replace my ink and after watching this was printing in a matter of seconds.

  • aaaaah k buena onda las personas k suben este tipo de videos Dios los bendiga :D

  • OMG, yes, you have to turn the printer on!!!!! Thanks

  • Omg ive been here the last half an hour and it wont work, it wont insert, im so annoyed can any one help me please?

  • @Cantwait4summer you have to turn the printer on, took me forever too

  • @mcbird32 Thanks it works now:)

  • Many Thanks

  • cheers cunt.

  • thx dude, Just remember to turn your printer on first.

  • You could at least say ONE VERY IMPORTANT STEP: TURN THE PRINTER ON!

I had to spend over 30 minutes figuring that step out. It was easy once the printer was TURNED ON!

  • @CoconutSurf44 Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I have been driving myself crazy, wondering if I had removed a piece from the printer and misplaced it, because I couldn't see where the CARTRIDGES WERE SUPPOSED TO SNAP IN! It is completely counterintuitive for the power to be on when you open up an electronic device.

  • @CoconutSurf44 THX FOR Saying to turn the printer on, I also just got one and I tried to put the cartridges in for like 15 mins and nothing, then I read this turned it on and finally I can get them into place, I wonder the the hell designed this kind of cartridge installing system -_-

  • BOOM! finally got it to work. Textrosity is right, simply turn the printer on and wiat for it to make a few noises. The old cartrideges need to slide over from the right hand side to the left. Initially they may slide to the left and then go back to the right. But after 30 seconds or so they should slide back to the left and stay there.

  • Wow. The trick to finding out the trick to this video is by turning the printer on first...

    Bitches beware.

Hell, Nby21Blog should've been courteous enough to AT LEAST SAY TURN THE FUCKING PRINTER ON IN AT LEAST THE FUCKING DESCRIPTION.

  • nevermind,i had the wrong cartridges...the correct ones enter in a heartbeat.if your cartridges do not enter, most probably theyre not the right ones..or you're stupid..

  • this printer is a piece of crap,DONT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It would be helpful to know how to get the cartridge holder to the left. Mine slide all the way over to the right and stay hidden.

  • yes the trick is to turn the printer on first!!

  • Don't buy this printer. Too much hassle. Money wasted

  • this doesnt FUCKING work dumb ass!!!

  • thank you! counldn't figure it out without this!!!!

  • Is it the same for MP145?

  • Thank you man! I didn't understand the diagram.

  • annoying piece of crap, so consumer un-friendly

  • Thanks

Ok, Now how we could remove them please?

  • thank you very much! it really helps me =)

  • I couldn't get this right..really frustrating..the "trick" is to TURN ON the printer. Gee that wasn't written in the user's guide!

  • how in the world did i like this vid i never even saw this until now

  • Thank you! I just realized that what i was doing wrong was that the printer head was not moved to the left! When I moved it, it was a piece of cacke to put the cartridges, like you showed us. Thanks again!!!

  • @Crunchyman2007 this is very true...didn't turn the printer on and that is what had me baffled for a good 20 mins....make sure to turn the thing on so the inserts are there.

  • thank you so much! i hate this printer...

  • thank you <3

  • @Crunchyman2007 OMFG, I've been fucking around for an hour with this printer, I was thinking, it's not that logical to turn it on, but I couldn't find a way to got it in. THANKS

  • And this is a good printer. If you have industrial size quantities to print maybe you should get an industrial size printer......

  • Wow thank you I feel like an idiot having to watch this 4 times and didnt realize you first have to take the plasic things off AND the little tape things..... Might wanna tell people that. Oh and to open the printer all you do is lift on the scanner part. Its easy just dont overthink it.

  • @Crunchyman2007 you sir, are a flipping savior. i couldnt figure out why people were doing this so easy, i was having a heart attack about sliding the "vulnerable" front of the thing into something it wasnt suppose to touch. Go figure, the holders are black as night, and show up in NO video (out of three). reading your comment finnally fixed my problem. (and using that much muscle to lift the cartridge up had me panic'n too, i use the computer daily, and college needs printer = death to break

  • Thanks!!!

  • Did the catridges last for long?

  • Thanks! Helpful info!

  • Thank you, Thank you, Thankyou! I could not find my ink cartridges anywhere! I turned my printer upside down and sideways and thought I checked every nook and crannny , but I knew it had to be somewhere! I couldn't t find my manuals (obviously) lol * Now, I see they were hidden over on the right side of the printer. When I turned it on and off again, I got them to slide over to the left so I could see them and take them out!! Awesome! This site is a Godsend! I love this printer!

  • i replace black ink but did not bother with colour as i only use printer for documents, but printer did not print, kept saying empty, although i set it to use black only....colour has empty cartridge stil in.Help!

  • only way to replace the ink cartridge if you have that printer?

  • I don't see what's so hard about it??

You open the lid and wait for the cartridges to slide over to the left.

Then you lift the old one out and slide the new one in.

If you can't remember which one went where it's hardly Canons fault.

  • Thanks.Installed cartridges after 10 minutes of not having a clue!

  • Million of thanx

  • Thank you very much

  • does it have to use a specific cartridge? I have cartridges with the numbers 30 and 31 for black and color respectively, I can't get either to clip in. And it's a pain in the ass because I need this printer soon.

  • thank you:)

  • Thank you so much this help a great deal

  • thank u

  • for your info, the last soultion i did.. i went back to the shop, then ask for help..

then, he said that my printer have technical problem..from the factory..

the very very rarely problem with canon..

and he gave me the new one :)

the ending.. i can install the ink easily..

but i wonder, why the colur ink also reduce although i have setting fast, grey scale printer.. the black ink did not effect anything

  • thanks

  • thanks, we couldnt figure it out lol

    :-)

  • thanks very helpful

  • You have no idea how useful this was. I totally forgot which cartridge went in which bit. Shoyld have made a note.

  • why canon make a very difficult printer to us install the ink..

i feel want to throw away..

  • Thanks soo much. my parents asked for help with the cartridges and we were thinking something was missing or we were complete idiots, at least now I know we are not!

  • jesus thanks man, Its been a year since i replaced these and I couldn't figure it out for shit... I kept trying to snap them in the stupid tray.

  • I can't believe how dificult this was.. why don't they say that in the manual .. i was going crazy with it.. thx for the help..

  • thanks !

i finally can install the cartridge !

  • Me too!! Help!

  • I figured it out, thanks to the comments....long story short

    1. the printer has to be ON

2.you have to wait for the black slots to move from the right to the left, in order to install them (that's why it wasn't clicking!).

    Thanks people!

  • dude thx so much!

i was like, fuck i have a broken printer theres something missing, i turn it on thx to u, the things slide over and im likke...OOOOOOHHH....

  • what part do they click on? I don't find such a thing, they just feel loose....i have this printer since one month and haven't been able to use it yet.

  • push up not forward is the main idea

  • wow thanks for the help, its insane how easy it actually was lol

  • im about to cry i still cant get the fuckin cartrages ta go in and im doing the exact same thing you are

  • Comment removed

  • @skinfitz You. Genius. I cannot believe it took me this long to work that out. hero.

  • @danielle409600 Check that the printer head has moved out to the left and is not stuck parked on the right hand side.

  • @danielle409600 your ink might be in the oppisite side so you might have to turn it on and wait for it to get to the other side were its supposed to be. :P

  • @danielle409600

Make sure your cartridge holder is on the left side, and not on the right. If it's on the right, the new cartridges will feed into nothing. Turn the printer on, and have the holder move to the left.

  • @invalidnumberisfred

Oh my god, thank you! That was impossible to spot!

  • @invalidnumberisfred im an idiot. i jammed cartridge trying to take out old. i didn't know i was supposed to slide holder to left. now what do i do?!? it won't slide to left. won't lift up. nothing. sigh.

  • @djteam9 How do you do it?

  • @invalidnumberisfred never mind. my 7 yr old son fixed it:/

  • I think I love you :)

  • thankyou!

  • THANK YOU! Those idiots who made the manual got the colors messed up. What idiots. 5/5!

  • Thanks!

Why don't Canon put a USB cable in the box??

  • THANKSSSS, FOR THAT!!!!

  • LOL it was THAT easy?!!! Thanks so much, youre a star!!

  • The cannon manual sucks! it won't tell us anything! grrrr!!! THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!IT HELP ME ALOT.

  • PEOPLE !!! DON'T buy this piece of shit printer X(. I have industrial quantities of homework to make, and when i pressed PRINT, it started shredding paper and spweing ink. Tried it hudredrs of times, the fucking piece of shit will still shred the paper :|. I don't know what to do next. Piece of shit !!! (i am sooooo pissed off)

  • In case anyone is a novice like myself and bought a new Canon printer....Don't try to load the ink cartridges without removing the all protective taping first(both on the printer and on the ink cartridge)! And also make sure you switch on the printer to set the printer head in the right place for loading.

Thank you for that video! It was puzzling me all day why I couldn't load the thing. Was a great help, thanks!

  • yup :)) glad i helped you out ;)

  • Thanks for this! Whoever posted the comments about the black cartirdge holder needing to be on the left is a flippin hero! Canon failed to properly explain probably the most important part of the setup to get the damn thing working. After many hours trying I was ready to throw my MP220 out the window till I saw this. Props to you and all the commenters!

  • cheers m8 ! I am surprised that this low quality video i made for 1 person helped maybe thousands... or even more. Also took me a while to find out how to do it, but finally after like 10 minutes, by accident i found out how (i wanted to put the cartrages in when the printer wasn't on... stupid me :D )

  • You know what they see, if 1 person's got a problem there's probably thousand others who do too! Thing with mine was that even when the printer was on the cartridge holder was on the right so had to turn it on and off a few times...but it made it's way to the left in it's own time.

  • @Nby21Blog

Ok we get the message! doe you really need to copy and paste on everyone post?!

I ve had this printer for about 2 years. Its not perfect, and its an ink guzzler, but for $34AUD I cant complain.

  • DAMN! i finally found how!

  • well you know, i (like most people) do not read the instructions manual when i buy some new stuff (phones and stuff). I like discovering the functions myself, but with this printer... it's bloody impossible !. Cheers

  • i apreciate that very much. Thanks

  • Thanks so much! I just bought a Canon MP140 today and I didn't know that the black thing that moves indie is what you attach the cartridges to, I was fumbling about& frustrated for ages!

Your video hepled me out and i've now installed them. Many Thanks Nby21Blog =)

  • this helped alot but the problem is now wheb i click print it says " the printer is performing another operation" plz help me...

  • ok i managed to do that but my printer does not recognize the cartridges and still tells me there is no ink!! what do i do?!?!

  • This video is the all time most difficult to masturbate to. There's just no conceivable way. I tried thinking about the heat of the printer, the oscillating parts, different pressure points...but it was an absolute failure. Have to go 2 stars on this one.

  • thnxx for this tutorial man..peacee

  • Thank you soooooo much! I couldn't do this without the video! Nightmare instructions! :) xx

  • ty. this really helped the instructions were just rubbish

  • thank you veyr much for posting this!! their instruction is so damn stupid!! they didnt even mention you have to wait until the ribbon goes from the right to the left, then you can lock the cartridge in position, took me like freaking 2 hours just to figure out how to fit the cartridge and why the yellow light is always blinking -_-"""""""

    anyway thanks again =)~~

  • Thank you! I couldn't make it without this video :D .

  • Thank YOU !!!!

  • Thank you king!

  • TY so much... i have just bought the printer but i couldn't put them in and you helped me alot.. thank you man... keep up the good work =)

  • Thanks, I could not for the life of me figure out why they wouldn't go in.. Turns out the cartridge "loader" thing hadn't slid across cos it wasn't powered on! lol!!

  • help please lost my manual how do you replace ink cartridges in the canon printer pixma mp210 i cant find how to eject the old cartridge

  • it's the reverse of putting them in .. first of all start the power, open ink cartridge bay (i mean open the scanner) and when the cartridges go to the left side (where you load them) just click down ... push down and take them out. Hope this helped you , if no i will make a video

  • please help lost my manual how do you replace the ink cartridges in the canon printer pixma mp210 how do i get the old cartridge to eject

  • start ur printer, open the bay where you put in the cartridges. wait until the cartridge holder comes out from the right side and goes to the left, there there are the B C holders. put the cartridge into there, and push foreward until you cannot anymore. and then just click up. hope this helped

  • ooooohhh!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! THIS REALLY HELP ME!

  • dude how do i put the cartridages in

its like mines doesnt have a clicking area

  • Ahhh thank God! Figured out how to get the cartridges in when the printer came but couldn't figure out how to replace the used cartridge as they seemed to stay permanently on the right of the printer and not the left! Thankfully reading the comments here as cleared that up! Stupid Canon! x

  • glad it helped u one way or another... i am making a survay: DO YOU LIKE YOUR MP210 PRINTER? rate it from 1 to 10 (1 worst, 10 best): quality, speed, ease of use, design, cost/performance ... everybody else can reply to this comment :D

  • No same rule applies. POWER ON wait for the ribbon to move to the left and insert the bastards.

    Hope you sus it out.

  • I can not do it with mine. Is different! but MP210.

  • Good video. Crap instructions from Canon. Worth pointing out to all us idiots that the cartridge holders attached to the ribbon need to be on the left hand side!! TURN POWER ON FIRST to get them over to the left!!! Think the silly Wankers at Canon would put that in the instructions!!!

  • that is very true... everybody says to turn off the power on everything, even the monitor if we even clean it .. now they say turn it on (or don't say .. just figure it out yourself)

  • You, my friend have just earned too much respect from me! I was a fucking retard for not figuring it out myself, but thanks a lot!

  • Wow, thank you I was about to throw the printer out the window before I read this. :)

  • omg, thx so much!! i couldnt figure it out!!

  • me neither :)) when i get something new (pc, laptop, printer , etc) i don't read the manuals ,i want to find it out by myself

  • haha i'm such an idiot...thx for posting this - finally figured out how to do it....damn pictures on the instructions with their crazy arrows that are pointing god knows where!

  • wow thats kinda retarded. The freaken printer comes with the 30/31- bah

  • maybe it was an error. You should report it to the people you bought it from

  • doesn't the mp210 use 30.31 inks?

  • no. it uses PG-37, CL-38, and high capacity PG-40, CL-41

  • hey, i changed the colour ink ca
