one of my drop dead favorite all time songs... i was in my late teens, early 20's, living on my own with eyes wide open. facing everyday with a smile, this beautiful world in front of me, and my guitar.... this song was a very big part of that time for me and the memories it brings back... how i wish i could go back to those times... some of the most wonderful memories and experiences i will always cherish.... him and his music was played a big part in my musical learnings... thank you Mr Benson

This is awful synth-disco music for dancefloors. George is an excellent jazz guitarist and albums like "Beyond the Blue Horizon" (1971) are top noch. But here he just feeds his bank account.
I just feel obligated to respond to this. I LOVE George's CTI stuff ("Bad Benson" being my favorite), but his Warner Bros. stuff was what first made me a fan when I was a little kid. I've never thought George sold out. You only sell out when you do stuff you DON'T wanna do. George WANTED to SING, but Creed Taylor wasn't havin' it. Yeah, the WB stuff was more commercial but NONETHELESS very creative. This song was Georg'es PEAK as a vocalist. It's a feel-good song, the kind that we need more of
Creci oyendo esta musica gracias a mi papa,,,, ahora no lo tengo conmigo pero al oir a este chico me siento como si todavia estuviera conmigo... Mi papa era tan bueno como el

@TheBestOfDisco
Yeah. It's even more impressive that it's a "Mini-Bass" - so fiddly to just reach across and do that.
