  • because this?

  • Hey, I am building a fan gun but am having a problem. Are you runing only water through the nozzels and then the wind from the fan hits the mist. Or are you using compressed air along with the fan.

  • If you want to make snow I think you may have to wait for a colder day or time of day.

I think that you might need to use colder water also. If you had a barrel of water that iced over and you pumped that water to the machine you would have a lower enthalphy or heat of fusion to overcome. Also you might want to make it muddy water or use a little flour in it so you can get good nucleation. Without nucleation water freezes at -42 F

  • YOU MEAN MISTER.........

  • where is the snow?

  • how much did u make for

  • Holly crap! That looks almost exactly like the driveway from my old house!!!

  • What state are you in BTW???

  • where is this?

  • @pfun41 LOL - on my driveway?

  • @7hereverendmaynard what state is your driveway in?

  • how could i make something like this?

  • @djlamieplays - check out snowguns dot com

  • did you just use a garden hose for water?

  • @TeRrAiNpArKDuDe - garden hose to a high pressure pump (although I only use 150PSI on this setup - High pressure (400-600) is for my Combo guns - but I use the same pump either way...

  • can i have some plans for this? i would pay for them. or even the snow gun itself?

  • @Mod1fyD Check out snowguns dot com

  • @7hereverendmaynard how much snow does it make? and how do i subscribe to a thread on there?

  • @Mod1fyD

  • how many snowmakers do u have?

  • @pike98765432 - I have 1 Fangun, 3 combo guns, 1 operational 5.1gpm water pump, 3 additional cat pumps (with no motors etc)... and a couple air compressors... way more guns than water :-(

  • Could you please tell me the exact specs for the fan, and also how you regulate the water pressure going through the hago nozzles.

  • @jackreiter10 I documented the build on snowguns dot com

  • ill give u 1500$ bucks for it

  • @mgdsports Thanks - but its not for sale

  • thats pretty sick

  • wanna sell me one?

  • what did you use for your nucliator nozzle?

  • @UrbansnowProductions - I am using a BETE XAAD center mounted nuc

  • i think im gonna try to make one with a power washer and an electric leaf blower XD and some pvc

  • A leaf blower will not work. Compressed air is required - as it provides cooling as it expands.

  • well im gonna try it anyways XD. Its plenty cold here without compressed air... and i already have the stuff sitting around in my garage so... why not? ill tell u how it goes

  • ok well it snowed soon after posting this and i found out that working with a hose in 10 degree weather isn't fun... so im gonna leave the snow stuff to mother nature and the ski areas i go to =]

  • well as long as plenty cold is like -10 farenighet then it wont work because when air expands it rapidly cool lus you need compresed air and that is the only way that we can make snow

  • 7hereverendmaynard will u send me instructions for one these i been looking for some

  • where did you get a fan with enough power? i cant seem to find one

  • Fan is a custom made fanblade from multi wing america, mounted to a TEFC 1.5HP electric motor

  • how far of a throw with the stators?

  • I would say the first bits of water are dropping out around 12-15 ft.... and the bulk is going between 15-80ft

  • Balla......in every sense of the phrase....That S is outstanding......I cant wait to build one myself...
