  • @donsimmons13 I'll drink to that friend. • 100% classic

    100% bad ass

  • 51 people don't share my exact taste in music...and I'm ok with that

  • i seriously cant remember the last day i went without hearing this song...and i love it lol

  • i think what i love about his music is the recordings are so natural. you can hear him breathing to get ready to sing the notes, most people would edit that out. wouldnt find anything like that today.

  • fuck i thought it was big old jed and lynol the bad bastards taking him away, no shit i have thought that for fifteen years hahaaaa

  • @lizajb1 THAT BLOWS MY MIND HAHAHAHAHEEEHAHAHEEEHEEEEEEHEEE GOTTA LOVE YA --LIZABJ hahaaaahehheeeheeeeeee...................

  • what has music come to?

  • wish i could have my high school years in the 70's, i very much dislike rap. thats the craze though, i guess i should just get use to it.

  • he played this song at Boeing a couple weeks ago! i was there and saw it. it was a tribute to the 747-8 program. I heard about it in the last hour or so. i am on the 787-9 program. I had to go and make my way! Lots of memories from 1976-77 I was in HS. This was the first song Big New Jet Airliner! What a day Get paid to See an icon of my era. Thanks Boeing hope to have a party like this for the 787-9 launching!

  • hell no 707!

  • THX! High School (1970-74) memories returnig!!!!

  • This song always makes me want to pack light and hit the road....moving back to my hometown.

  • I saw Steve Miller & company play this song live yesterday!

  • he was on Austin City Limits last night-still a very incredible talent-so glad I caught the show

  • is the Boeing 707 still in use?

  • @Ladyboyloverxxx2 No, it was developed in the 1950's. If you want, Google it for more info! ;)

  • @Ladyboyloverxxx2 Hah no, that hasn't been used in many years.

  • Oh memories of keggers and tube tops,...and a big black goodie comb in your pocket. 102 leafs in a pack of zig zags for 25 cents... real mountain dew in a glass bottle 30 cents pack of newports 45 cents. and 25 .oz's......of redbud.

  • @blindfaith1966 gasoline was 60 cents a gallon to go to the drive-in with 4' speakers in the van. You could see 6 great bands for $12 including Steve Miller. I just saw him in LA and my ticket was over $100 - now thats inflation

  • jetairliner1987 now is jetloquendo

  • You show me anyone who says this song doesn't sound awesome, ill show you a blatant liar who hates the good things in life like awesome music, great food, a loving family, good health and probably freedom and free will lol. Instead of one person, there are 48 of them lol. Awesome song in any generation, it was definitely one of those instant classics that will be listened to and loved as long after we are all gone, as long as music exists people will know what the Steve Miller Band sounds like.

  • @lambdachi1826 thats the funniest shit i read alllllll day.

  • @lambdachi1826....cause it's here I have to stay!!!;))

  • @lambdachi1826 ....or the early 80's version "...big ole hairy vagina..." Flows better - no pun intended. ;-)

  • It is funky kicks lol

  • This blows Pena's original out of the water.

  • They dont play like this anymore do they folks?

  • steve miller's first guitar lesson came from les paul; is it any wonder he's the best? also, anyone who loves this song, i love you. anyone who hates this song, I hate you and let's fight!

  • @bluestucco i think it is funky kicks.

  • Bingo jet had a light out? No?

why did you reply to me? keep your lame-ass opinions to yourself. And your analogy about vitamins and music, absolutely stupid. Grow Up.

  • If'n y'all ain't too sure what rock and roll sounds like jest refer yer old self to the fisrt 64 bars of this beauty...yer pal, Rama Lama

  • I just can't get enough of this song

  • Yesterday's music just makes Today's music LOOK LIKE A PIECE OF DOG SHIT hey !

  • Why is everyone talking about the originality of this song? Its just a very shitty washed up version of crossroads.

  • Worth saying now and then: this song was written by Paul Pena. You can hear his version on youtube as well and it's worth the listen.

  • Nice, original song. Nice idea to put the lyrics up, as well.

  • Im goin to the park. when i come back i want my comment to replace the shit ones up top.\

  • 懐かしい!イントロカッコいい!

  • @hockeyrules881 LOL, live in the past if you like, this song will only bring the thrill once. Sure the 60's and 70's were great, grew up on it. I loved when the Seattle thing happened in 1989, as an 18 yr old then now 49 it was nice to have some REAL rock in my genra... Lot of great new bands, DBT, Wilco. I got on here, from St. Louis and he played under the arch for the 4th. I just couldn't ever limit rock, sorry.

  • @jczother i was at that show under the arch, and so were thousands more rocking away. sounded great! and a pretty awesome to see a performance under one of the well known landmarks in the US!

  • Les Paul was Steve Miller's godfather.

  • Intro Missing!!!!!!!

  • Remember Rap is like scissors, it will always lose to Rock.

  • @TheJeepWheeler bullshit

  • @kickinback97

    whatever you say

  • @TheJeepWheeler Rock always looses to paper though

  • Stevie Guitar Miller, carrying on Les Paul's proud Wisconsin Rock & Roll history!

  • i'll tell yah. i'm 15 and songs like these are the ones i like the most, i wish i was alive when these songs were being made.... and also almost everytime i listen to song with some good guitar there's always a top comment that tells you. "smoke weed to this song" or "listening to this song while high is the greatest". You dont need to smoke weed/ be high, to fully appreciate this great song, and if someone complains go ahead. Smoking weed is your choice, but i dont need an arguement. :)

  • @Culvers2 Rock on dude!!

  • What's the deal about age I like Verdi and he would be about 230 years old if he was still writing tracks or librettos or arias as he called them!

  • MASTER lyricist at his finest

  • @flyyspit

Yeah, master lyricist, except being that this is one of the few songs of his with meaningful, insightful lyrics it was completely written by someone else! Oh wait, this "master lyricist" is responsible for such gems as "Abra-abra-cadabra, I want to reach out and grab ya". Masterful! Truly poetic.
