  • hey man i have a 1200 watts rms system i have an optima red top in front 1000 amp ca cca 800 an planing on puting 2 kinetik hc 600 in the trunk is that enought?

  • @ELkamikaze29 - Anything more than stock is better than before - but with 3 batts at 1200 watts you will be fine!

  • @EXOabigdeal thanks man i had an svr batterry that lasted me 16 years that is no bs man i have a directed 1500 class d amp with 2 power bass 15 inch dual 4 ohm in a sealed box i think hose kinetik hc 600 are 850 amps or 600?

  • @EXOabigdeal thanks man i had an svr battery in the trunk that lasted 16 years no bs man i have a directed 1500 class d amp with 2 power bass 15" dual 4 ohm in a sealed box hey those kinetik hc 600 are 600 or 850 amps?

  • 2 batteries 90 amp alt or 1 battery 220 amp alt? im pushin g a bzr 2400w Hifonics!!! :/ assist me!! lol

  • @BloomfieldJerk - 1 batt, 220 amp alt

  • Exo I got a mechman 270amp alternator and I'm having voltage problems when I have a load on it the voltage drops anywhere between 14.8 and 11 help!!

  • @basscrazy777 - How many batteries do you have?

  • Yo EXO. I have 2 dual 4ohm 12s. And i have a 2ohm stable 1200rms amp. Ive had the subs wired up at 4ohms forever now. But in mr new charger it just dont bang anymore. I looked at wiring diagrams and cant drop the dvc 4ohm subs to 2ohms for the amp. Is there any way to wire the subs to like 8ohms then down to 2ohm. The amp im using is a monoblock. Thx bruh. U vids rock.

  • @Sammy31Dee - I'll have a video sooon!

  • i gotta a question what amp alt should i use i jus recently bought a red top optima an im running about 1000-1200 watts of power an i lights dimming ???

  • @Goldenboy1891 - 200+

  • @EXOabigdeal ok where can i get one ??? prolly a dumb question lol

  • @Goldenboy1891 - DC Power Alternators!

  • by company you mean a diferent brand of speakers and amplifiers?, if so what you brand you recomen for speakers and amp's?

  • ok i got another question, the pyle car stereos are bad as in a competition level like the stereo you used to have in your van (not sure what brand is) for the competitions or bad as a conventional install?, you know like the ones they use to just listening music.

  • @JSGL1989 - They will make noise, but with some companies - quality is often substituted for looks, and "cool" factor.

  • I have FatMat and its treated me damn well such a good sound deadener!!

  • Hey ex0,

I got a quick question ....I jst bought an S12L7...nd Idk what sub box should buy....ported or sealed ... /:

  • @Klave620 I know your not asking me but, ported boxes in my opinion are better. They're louder, and just better for the subs, but make sure you make or buy a good one. Cause you can have a crappy ported box sound like shit, then a good sealed box sound much better. Hope I helped.

  • How can I wore subs together if my port is in the way?

  • @2001GrandP - Used terminals through the box.

  • The thing is, people get confused in the real purpose of a cap. A cap is not used to cure or prevent dimming lights, change the way the system sounds or save the battery/alternator (all are misconceptions).

To understand the purpose you need to understand how they work.

A cap does it's best to keep voltage at the supply level, but if the voltage changes so will the cap voltage. The cap just makes the change smoother (as best it can). So for a high demanding system, a cap is useless...otherwise.

  • I heard so MANY things about Capacitors and im glad i finally got the correct answer. Thank you EXO!

  • Just telling from my personal experience, but i have 2 kenwood 12" subs and a 1000 watt class D amplifier. I noticed a lot of dimming in my headlights when a song would put out a lot of bass, like imma be by the black eye peas, after i installed my capacitor the lights still dim, but its barely noticable and the songs hit sooo much harder, the science behind them kinda makes sense too.

  • @steelasura capacitors are a marketing scheme.

  • Thanks

  • @EXOabigdeal hey bro I got 2 12" Rockford Fosgate P3 2011 model in a ported box and a 1500.1 hifonics amp. I was wondering If I do the big 3 upgrade will it make it hit harder.

  • I had two p3 15" sub but I had to sell them. Now I getting two hifonics hifi subs, how much will I miss them? I have power acoustic 2000 watt class d rms 1 ohm 1200.

  • i have a pl1290bl blue wave by pyle there decent subs for sealed boxes have it in my 95 lhs nd my shit shakes im powering it with a pyramid amp its a decent st upforless the 100bucks but if urnot on a budget ndu have money to spend go with dc or acendent

  • Big question here....what does cotton really do for the sub box... I have 2 memphis pr 12s in a slot port box

  • im thinking about buying a PL1290BL 1200 WATT 12inch pyle blue wave sub and im puting it in a bassworx box hooked up to a 500 watt off brand amp and im woundering if i did so would it sound good?

  • if im running a 15in sub at 750rms nd 12in 350rms do i need a capacitor???

  • @JATnz16 - No sir - Keep it free of any unnecessary electrical burdens.

  • @EXOabigdeal Thanks man

  • @EXOabigdeal 1more question when i turn my head-unit over half way the subs dont get any louder only the speakers do you no whats up with that? cheers

  • you are a awesome guy and nothing but positive. idk how anyone could hate on you. im gonna send you a pic of my box and tell me what you think and see if you could give me some pointers on the build.

  • @codynetz634 - Hey, thanks man!

  • @EXOabigdeal sorry i have to disagree with u about the hole cap deal. a cap helps alot it stores engery buddy. i have one and never had a problem with my battery going dead in my truck im runing 2 15inch CVX kicker with a 6.000watt amp.

  • @xGODLYxSKiLLeDx666x - I call BS on your 6,000W amp... And also, if you think capacitors help your electrical system with a 6,000W demand... You're obviously ill-informed and haven't done enough testing yourself to know any better :)

  • @EXOabigdeal think what you want. im not putting 6.000watts to my subs im putting 1.000rms to each one of my subs thats 2.000watts to both subs and a cap. just because a amp is 6.000watts doesnt mean thats what im useing it just means its 6.000watts im using 2.000watts in all.i could careless what you think r anyone else

  • @xGODLYxSKiLLeDx666x - You don't care? You clearly care enough to have replied to a 2 month old comment that was not directed towards you...

  • oh and i need to make three ported boxes for my s10 small couse the cab is small how thick would i need the mdf kickers 12 inch round and maby the L7 i want

  • @ogue1000 - Single layer will work fine for that.

  • do you think buying a kicker l7 12 inch is a good idea

  • Capacitors are a marketing scheme....its just like displaying peak power ratings....same thing marketing scheme

  • Respect for not buying into the cap fallacy. Good quality amps have adequate reserves built into their power supplies, I ran caps back in the day when everyone said "omg you gotta have capacitance" and they didn't do anything good and probably made things worse.

Pyle, you could do worse.... nothing wrong with it unless you are replacing Zapco, A/D/S or Precision Power Art or PC class amps expecting similar. I remember a "Rockwood" demo truck hitting 160's, got the job done, a little smoke MB.

  • 24.99 special on 3/4" mdf pfss, those were the days now that shit is like 33 bucks here in phx.

  • haha too funny i agree about them capacitors man

  • when my amp is turn on.... my head unit on aux mode.... i didnt play any song.... but my sub make a noise sound... when i rev up my engine.... it sounded like a supercharger car..... can solve it for me....

sorry my english not so good.....

  • @cvbn4400 From what I hear, make sure your the positive cable is at least 12 inches away from your RCA cables. If they are close to each other they will cause interference.

That's just what I heard though.

  • @TheCappilla thank man....

  • @cvbn4400 possibly a fround loop. have the same thing on mine, I stopped at a light an said damn someone has loud subs lol. i felt dumb i turned off my subs an it stopped, it should be the ground needs a better solid ground, mine is a little hook, so i understand why mine does it lol.

  • Its awesome you spend time helping out others with all this. Car audio gets super expensive and your helping people literally get a bang for their buck. Thanks a ton!

  • you forgot a de-walt drill to screw all them damn screws in lol

  • say man would i need a high output for like say 1500 watts or any upgrades??

  • god u might aswell go with sone

  • Question how do I pick up my voltage for amps and what do multiple battery do for you car audio thAnks iggy

  • I was just wondering would u ever recommend Sony xplod subs

  • Since capacitors typically reduce overall voltage (but do smooth voltage out), this is what does the most harm to a amplifier system (and possibly the car's computer system). Like you said in your video, getting a High Output (HO) alternator and a good battery (Optima Red tops are good for single battery setups and Yellow tops are good for multiple battery setups, unless it's a D31a Yellow Top) is the first and best thing to do. Otherwise, just add the amp and leave the rest alone.

  • A capacitor is a device that stores electric charge between two conducting plates with a non-conductor (aka insulator) in the middle. This is like storing electrical energy. Whereas, a battery stores chemical energy (charging a battery is technically wrong terminology (energizing a battery is correct, like "Energizer" brand, they got it right)). The larger the Farads of a capacitor, the more electrical charge it can store and release in a burst. Typically, they reduce overall voltage of a car.

  • capacitors ARE helping to reduce the ripple of your powerlines.

They are NOT bad. But you have to know when to use caps, and what capacity You need/can get away with.

  • you right bro< capacitor just take current and released to the amp, just look cool that is, but add more batteries that really make a difference more amperage more time to discharge to the amp or the load , remember ohm's law E=I x R, R=V/I, you got the idea :D is like a flash light if you have more amperage the light would last even longer because it does not need to much current because it has extra storage of energy, so EXO I'm with you bro, take care man!!!!!

  • Hit me up knowledge is power...iv been messing around with electronics as long as I can remember.hit me up!

  • Capacitors do work. you have to have a lot of them to work. and for the money yes your right batteries and alternators are the way to go.but...... capacitors to work in the do not drain as much as you really think.but on a grand scale. they constantly drain power . potentially killing your battery. I know this cuz I even had only 1 hooked up. and notice voltage change in the morning. so you're not completely wrong. but partly. if you're gonna be using your vehicle everyday. Then u should b ok

  • hey i dont have anything agenst you but iv been in to subs, amps .etc but capsitors do work they really do the feed the amp the power it needs when the alternator cant soo yea hey i also have 2 cvr comp 12 kicker i have 2 and 4000 poweracostic amp and it fuckin rocks thanks bro :D

  • Capacitors arnt bad at all, i dont know what this joker is talking about.... yea they store up energy so when ur bass hits it uses it from the capacitor and it doesnt surgeitall out at once... doesnt harm your system lol... I have (2) 12" 4ohm kicker l7s with (2) kenwood 1800 watt amps to power each one then a kenwood 600 amp for speakers and a rockford fosgate 2 farad to to help my bass and it hits hard...capacitors arnt bad at all otherwise they wouldnt make em anyways....

  • @xcruc1al they make them to make money for them just like most companies put MAX on they're products when you really should be looking for RMS. capacitors'll take power from your electrical. they're like those annoying relatives/friends: take your food and when they run out, take some more. A battery can provide its own power tho. also, a great alternative to a capacitor is the Big 3. and for more info on caps, go to realm of excursion and look for "Why you don't need a capacitor" for good info

  • hey capactors provides a fast discharge to provide to the amp with power .It discharges faster than the battery thats why it added to the system you need to check on that

"In car audio systems, large capacitors store energy for the amplifier to use on demand" (quoted from Wikipedia)

but non the less great video thumbs up man !!!!

  • @sicctt nothing wrong with a cap for the money i would rather have a new batt. but ultimately if your current draw is more than your alternator can put out (voltage drop) than it just puts more stress on the electrical system

  • I dunno man I think it's all about power.. power power power

  • Dear EXO, I have a home theater sub from the 80's and there is a frequency knob that goes from 50 to 130. What measurement would that be in and what should I set it to? Thankx, Nicholas (mrspkrguy)

  • @mrspkrguy that would be to change the Crossover frequency in Hertz (Hz) ... The lower the number of Hz a subwoofer plays, the easier it is to see the subwoofer flex in and out. So from 1 Hz (that would be 1 cycle per second), the subwoofer will move VERY slow, and flex VERY far out.... then the higher the pitch, the faster the speaker moves (to where you can't count the number of flexes by sight). Crossover eliminates frequencies HIGHER than whats set, and plays only whats lower than whats set

  • i added caps and id add more before batteries there small can be more mounted alot easier i noticed deeper bass and better responses with capacitors loss of headlight dimming and loss of voltage drop

  • i just bought a 3 farad cap. it help[ed big time. NO more headlight dimming or voltage drop, and my sysem sounds better

  • what do you think about powerbass subs?

  • ya i have pyle cap 2.5 farad i got it after and i had no more voltage drop my pyle subs are ok they sound good but i got them for now

  • ya i have pyle cap 2.5 farad i got it after and i had no more voltage drop

  • i have pyle there ok subs im getten better stuff later

  • caps do work -_- i have a 1 farad stinger cap on my stock battery / alternator with a sundown 1500 and 12" dc hybrid.

  • Speaking from personal experience. Pyle Audio is not too bad. i mean its not like Planet Audio, Kenwood, JL, etc. but for everyday adding a little bump to a slightly upgraded system its not bad.

Some of em look pretty cool though.

  • Man, I bought two Kicker 10"s running off a JL 500/1 amp, and they sound TERRIBLE!!! I am pretty sure its just because of the box I bought, its a temporary box, but its an Atrend that was like $50!! It sounds really distorted when I turn it up, half way, or less... anyone have anything to help me out, besides just go ahead and get a quality box?? I usually have a JL 10" W7 in a custom box, and it sounds great!!

  • @SupraKid98 sounds like gain issues what is ur gain set at on ur amp and do u have any crossovers or eqs hooked up need to know more info about setup before i could give a better answer

  • @BADBLOOD713 I ended up taking them out of the box, and they beat like hell!! I am not sure what the gains are, but I know they beat pretty hard when they are out of the box, but as soon as you put them in the box, all the sound just goes away, you can barely hear it!! Then turn it up like half way, and it sounds like you are slapping the box, or punching it.... take them out, turn it up to like 20, and they beat like hell again, and sound good... CHEAP ASS BOX IS THE PROBLEM!! lol

  • @SupraKid98 lol id look up specs for ur kickers on kickers website and build a box becuase there specs will be specific to ur subs

  • @BADBLOOD713 I turned it up to about 60 today, and it sounded really destorted out of the box, but it was still hitting hard!! What exactly do you mean by my "Gains" like which settings are considered "Gains"? I know my bass boost, and head unit settings for the subs is all the way down, but i'm not sure what all the frequencies are at.

  • @SupraKid98 gains are called "volume" on ur headunit and normally as "level" on your amp and the distortion is called clipping now if ur gains arent up to high than theres other stuff that can give you distortion through ur gains like power source near you rcas or near the cable for you bass knob if you have one it can also be cuased by a bad crossover either a bad crossover unit that separate from ur head unit and amp or even the built in crossover in ur amp or deck bad eq could cause it too

  • @BADBLOOD713 I'm not sure, but its a JL Audio 500/1, and back in Georgia it sounded perfect with the JL 10" W7, then I moved, and now I have it powering two Kicker 10"s, and they sound distorted and I haven't changed any of the settings from the amp!! I'm not sure what it is, but luckily I won't have the kickers for much longer, and get back to the 10" W7!! :)

  • @BADBLOOD713 I just looked at the 500/1, and it doesn't have an adjustment that says "Level" on it, its just a bunch of freq. input sens. mode/slope, bass boost, filter freq, etc... I tried tuning it a little bit today, made it sound a little better, doesn't seem to be clipping as bad, but still does a little!! Thanks for all your help by the way!!

  • @jester7902 I picked up the same exact thing, I'm running a Sony 100watt amp push two MTX road-thunders and one explode(all three are 12") and before the cap, lights would dim, now they don't.

  • I have a .5 farad cap....Only got it BECAUSE my lights were dimming. I have a 1000 watt kenwood pushing 2 infinity 12's......Caps do work....you NEED to make sure the cap is right for your setup......mine's good up to 1300 watts.......It's a walmart special for $80 with all the wiring, couldn't go wrong, had it for almost 2 years.

  • capacitors.... I watched this vid a little TOO LATE!! spent $100 on a planet audio 2 Farad and my H.I.D lights still flicker!! =O

  • this video saved me from getting a cap on my system...thanks Exo!..youre the man!..Ive heard alotta bad stuff about them before..so its good to have it reinforced :)

  • PEEL AND SEAL- go to lowes and that is the exact same thign as dynamot, without the name brand haha

  • Thanks dude.

  • Thank you!!!

  • whats rong with ur face

  • I got a capacitor because I put 2 15"s in the trunk of my corolla and a 3000 watt amp. When I had the amp hooked up to my old 12"s I noticed headlight dimming which only got worse when I put in the 15"s. Sound quality also got worse. I picked up a 2 FARAD BOSS capacitor from a local pawn shop for around $30. Not only did it fix the headlight dimming but the system kicks harder and sounds a bit better at low frequencies now.

  • was it 3000 watt max or rms.

  • @cabbage803 Max, RMS is only 1200 watts at 4 ohms, I'm running 2 ohms but its 1 ohm stable.

  • 1200 RMS not bad but soon as trying to push 2500 rms and up man that capactor starts to talk saying "i quit" lol

  • @cabbage803 Oh trust me, I know lol I need to replace my car battery and maybe my alternator. Its nice to have that cap for heavy hits though.

  • pyle audio has great midrange speakers thats about it ...........the clarity n performance of there speakers r great.....

  • capacitors- for starters they look really cool. And for renders they dont do shit!!!

    haha so true

  • My battery's dieing and the bass used to be really good in the beginning and its going off now slowly.. I've two 15inch cvx with Mtx Thunder 1000XD -- 2000peak.

What should I do?** as you said change the alternator?? I've a 4 guage amp kit and yea my fuse went out 3 time cuz I was on loud, before I had 60amp fuse now I got the 80amp fuse which is the max everywhere and it went out too once when my volume was on 40.. ok bro tell me what should I do thanks...

  • friend of mine had me do a custom install in his 08 eclipse. He has a RF T1 15'' and he bought a pyle 4000 watt amp lol. I TRIED TO TELL HIM NOOOOO. He bought it anyway, we installed it, bumped it for literally 13 seconds and the car started filling with smoke. amp completely blew up lol. He had an older JL audio g1400 i elieve is what it was, just a small 500 or 600 watt amp, and it pushed that 15'' much harder and more efficiently than that pyle did.

  • Pyle of crap :D

  • Glad to hear that about Pyle. Cuz I picked up a Pyle 600watt amp for 35 bucks a year or 2 ago. Figured what the hell. Why not? I got it hooked up to 2 off brand 10's and It sounds about a good as my buddies Power Akoustic Fubar 15. Granted he has a 1200 watt amp and his is much louder, but the sound quality is about the same. Mine still shakes rear views. Or the window on the car next to me.

  • i have 4 12in rockford fosgate HE's , a rockford 600 watt amp and a rockford amp for highs. and a 1.0 cap.....not my install, but the voltage drops bad. brand new battery up front but it isnt a red top high end brand battery. should i switch to a red top dry cell battery?

  • @SL33ZYBEEZY u need a high power alternator I have this problem now

  • @SL33ZYBEEZY u need a high power alternator I have this problem now.

  • does any body know how cheap the alts are for a 2007 v6 mustang. im runnin 800watts, 650rms for my one 12, and my lights everywhere are dimming, as well as a slight voltage drop

  • better use batteries, the capacitors are for 500W sound systems lol

  • I got 0gauge wire runnin through my car. Tht wire alone requires an extra battery. CAPACITORS r only for looks.

  • Haha, they don't do SHIT!

  • you heard off peel and seal?

  • I bought the Alpine SBE-12KIT with the Type E 12" sub (800w peak/250w RMS) with a (700w max/200w rms) amp that came with the kit, should i even think about buying some 1F or 2F capacitor or just leave it the way it is. I don't have a car yet so I can't test if it starts dimming the lights or not

  • @K3rtTamm i run a total of 1500 rms and i don't use a capacitor. i have two type r 15s. you'll be fine.

  • @K3rtTamm 200 watts RMS is nothing. You only need to start worrying about how much output your car can handle when you go over 600 watts RMS. If you have a truck or van chances are you can handle upwards of 2,000 watts RMS (depending) without needing a bigger alternator. Most compact cars can barely handle 1000 watts RMS though, I saw a site that said most compact cars probably shouldn't push more than 600 watts.

  • i have a hifonics 1500 watt amp should i go with one good battery and a new alternator or get a second battery and its powering 2 12inch L5 kickers

  • @1vSoldan that is a really good amp i have it in my car it will drain the hell out of your battery lol and if yur current battery is good just go with the alternator upgrade. If you add more batterys and capacitors with a stock alternator yur just making it work twice as much than it can handle

  • hey man ive been seeing videos of options when you have dim lights and what not and this video really helped me because i was stupid enough to believe that capacitors gave the battery capacity :P LOLZ! i had a lot of problems with my battery so i bought one thinking it was going to resolve my issue but it didnt... so i changed my alternator and everything is great... but i sold all my shit lolz

  • you remind me of snoop dogg :)

  • i think that a compacitor helped my system, as soon as i installed it, ma system sounded better lol juss my experience wit em

  • @Jvilleman31 -- a cap stiffens the sound so yes it will sound better makes the highs crisper so if your looking for great sound sql and not spl there great. but like exo said they will still drain the battery if you bumping 4 15's. they can also explode and cause a huge fire in your auto. but like mine on my vids you can look them up im on here to i also run a cap for my highs.

  • @mysubsbang ill prolly never go higher then 12's, i aint tryna go into competitions, i mean i want sound quality AND SPL i want like, the bass to make me cum but at tha same time sound good, and not muddy

  • @Jvilleman31 -- i would go with 2 10inch mtx 8500's if i were you then they sound good and take a real good beating.

  • @mysubsbang ok, i was gonna go for kicker cvx but idk if they're good or not

  • @Jvilleman31 -- i cant say for sure i have heard plenty of the square solos and i do not like the sound of them. but i ave seen and learned on here if the box is built properly they will hit the low tones. so i have been told i dont know havnt seen or tried it but i believe them they seem to know what there doing and all.

  • yes

  • is alpine worth there such high expensive prices ?

  • @reecieboii thier subs, no. amps, head units, speakers, yes.

  • @dlzonwlz Thank you for your reply :)

  • my cheap ass setup with audiobahn sub and old ass kenwood amp souded very nice. at least untill the sub failed mechanically lol thats my main concern with low end stuff, besides SQ

  • @Hless421 -- them subs are pretty good the kenwood amp im sure caused your problem same happened to mine 1800 watt kenwood amp and i fried everything. type r subs to there 1000 rms my amp 900 rms watts by kenwood 9103d. there amps are ok for so long then they fail internaly and burn your subs.

  • @mysubsbang the aluminum cone, surround and SQ were good on the audiobahn. the spider was weak ass hell for a sub rated at 800w rms. It died with about half the power because of that. i do agree that kenwood amps are "dangerous" and overheat easily. oh and ur subs prolly died because of clipping. another problem with kenwood amps.

  • @Hless421 -- yeah i know it was clipping the hell out of my subs without a doubt i never had over heating issues though. but i blew up everything i had with my kenwood amp i have an eclipse now much cleaner power etc. i want to get a couple 10 inch mtx subs next they seem to sound pretty good for lows and take a good beating.

  • Dude caps arent as bad as people make them out to be...If you have a weak batt/alt then it wont help at all, but if you have a good batt, and or alt then the cap may even out the voltage drop...

But really anyone who knows electronics know how caps actually work, they will shoot voltage in series like a secondary batt when the voltage dips, or, they will store voltage in there reserve like a power load(like a risistor kindof), having reserve for when it drops again.

  • OR HOW ABOUT ICE$WATER SHIELD FOR ROOFING CONTRACTOR A ROOL OFF ICE AND WATER SHILD IS $80 ITS 3 FOOT BY 60 FOOT IT VERY STIKI

  • i just bought the boss audio ph 1500m for a 1200 watt max 12" sub soundstream good or bad decision cus iv seriously spent 1275 dollars total on shit deals help me! you know whatsup!

  • hey how you doing man, i have a question. i'm finaly building my new system and i was looking around for information about equalizers and Line Drivers. I know what an equalizer is but it seems that a line driver is almost the same thing just with more bands right? So im here asking this question, what is the diference on these two. I was thinking on going with the Clarion EQS 746 since you already gave good review on it. so help me out man. by the way... thanks for all the help on ur vids man!!!

  • thanks man cause i have 2 15in pyle subs that pump 3600watts max power each and im trying to find a suitable amp to go with it.

  • @tyhd1029 The first thing you want to do is forget about max or peak power and find out rms rating which is the number you are going to want to match up. Depending on what ohm rating your subs are will determine what amp you need.

  • @XSH0TYA it says it is a dual 4ohm, but i was thinking about just getting a pyle amp to go with it.

  • @XSH0TYA Cool did you find out the rms rating yet? Well your going to want a mono amp for 2 dual 4ohm subs... parrell down to 2 ohm load. Or you can try and find a high powered 2 channel... which is typically pricey!!

  • not so god?

pyle is a pyle of shit! hahaha!

  • i got rid of my cap i guess i just thought it looked cool i think it sounds better without it thanks exo you should have ur own tv show

  • hay man could you help me out with something i got a box at the mo its not ported goes hard but seen alot of the vids on youtube and most boxes are ported just wanted to know if porting it would be better and if so how to go about doing it thanks

  • i have a couple questions im going to have a 1200watt amp 2400 max and i dont want to have alot of power drop how should i fix this for not much $ but also have the least power drop

  • i have 4 10ns hooked up to a 2200 watt amp custom box what would be better for me a capacitor or another amp the lights almost shut off when the bass drops

  • @smackithurcandyizzas Get a alternator and bigger battery.

  • I've ran everything in my previous cars, caps, high out put alternators, gel batteries, extra batteries.......and by far, the best combination I've ever done was go with a high output alternator, an Optima red top battery under the hood, and a yellow top in the trunk. Always go extra battery over a cap, but you'll need the beefier alternator to charge both of those suckers.

Guaranteed the best combo in my books, for a decent size system that is.

    Anyways, cheers EXO!

  • hey man if i want to seal my subwoofer in a box what do i use...i mean like so air doesnt escape around the subwoofer.

  • Wat does rms mean

  • before i got my 2farad cap my car lights would dim and in acouple situations the car actually shut off

installed a cap and never had a problem since then my battery never dies its stable at 12.5 volts and the alternator is as 14.4 volts

a cap also can discharge many many times faster then a normal car battery

im running a rockfordfosgate 1500 watt amp peak and 2 1000 watt 12 inch alpine subs

after years i still have not needed to replace a battery

  • Can anyone tell me if this will work on my car's amp? Which is a Clarion 11551 Mono Block.

Pyle PDW21250. It's 8 ohms so my amp should run it. But the subwoofer is made for concert setups. Will it still work in my car?

  • right now i got 2 12 pioneers,ya they suck but i did have 2 audiobahn aw1006ts but they got stolen out of my 90 celica. but now i got a 96 blazer lt and was wondering with the 2 12s i got now (hooked up too a 800 watt amp on their own channel) would one of lanzars MAXP154D 15s sound to great with already low quality subs installed? i already got a 15 box with a audiobahn A8002V amp. so basically im just looking for a cheap 15 to get some deeper bass on a budget. $90 is what im looking to spend

  • @ribbingsw10 $90 will get you an entry level sub with horrible SQ... Lanzar is junk... save more money and get something half decent like Alpine or Infinity

  • Another thing to add to the box build, measure your area, check what how many cubic feet is best for your sub, and what you want to tune your box to. then just google a box builder and it will break down what cuts you need, including your port size and everything. take the paper with you to home depot(or lowes) AND THEY WILL CUT IT FOR YOU! then jsut take your shit home and put it together. best way to save money and have a box that is tailor fit for you.

  • you forgot rockford fosgate dead skin man!!!

  • @hondannyboy lol ok thx

  • whats SPL??

  • @errorserver3000 sound pressure level

  • hey EXO, im saving up to get 1 15 Fi Q and powered by a Audiopipe 1500d... 2 sets of crescendo audio 6.5s .... what is a good batt i should use? im looking at C&D deep cycler batt.. but do you think that a optima yellow top batt would be enough? oh yeah i need some help on making a box for my 15 but the thing is ive never made a box in my life? how do you measure sq ft? and how to tune a box? if you have any tips it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

  • yo exo nice going man u should hurry so we can see more bass vids but now da 2 18 like ur sistem

  • What size of box would you recommend for a Pyle PL1590BL 15-Inch 1400 watt DVC sub woofer? What dimensions? Sealed or ported? If ported what size of hole and how long of a bass reflex tube should it be?

  • caps are actually VERY useful. i installed my system and within 24 hrs of continuous 750rms watts i burnt out my alt. then i replaced it and that burnt out the same day. so i bought a cap the next day and replaced my alt again and now my prob is gone. this is the second car audio set up ive done and also the 2nd time ive needed a capacitor

  • EWOabigdeal, what is your view on mixing and matching brands of subs and amps?? Does it make any difference?

  • exo u goin to the show this sunday? its in hooksett NH. its a tnespl event. lemme kno bro keep up the good work check out my vids if u got some spare time. i culd always use feedback.

  • I decided to go with alpine type R's. Now I made a fiberglass box for them and have one kenwood 1k watt amp powering them both. I like the way they sound even though sometimes i would like for them to sound better. I saw some guy had those same subs in a ported box. So my question is... Should I turn my fiberglass box into a ported box? And why does the base seem to hit harder with my windows cracked??

  • hey man i really appreciate your videos but i havent come across oneabout overpowering subs. I really need some advice on this, I have a single kenwood kfcw012 rated at 400 watts rms but my kicker 400 watt amp only puts out 150 watts rms at 2 ohms, and i really have to crank the gain and bass boost to get a loud but crappy sound. So i was curious if i could use a alpine m500 mono block amp that runs 500 watts rms 2 ohm? maybe i could use this amp and keep the gain down to not hurt the sub??THNX

  • first off he is partially right bat CAPS....just becuz they help with dimming of lights, etc...doesnt mean they are a BIG help...if your gnna spend alot of money..invest in an ho alt..batteries..etc...install a cap...use a good dmm..and check voltage..and u will c the outcome...for the money u will spend..not a significant difference...take my advice..invest in the long run

  • I have a 99 civic and I'm running 2 amps (700 watts rms total). my lights are dimming and I was wondering if installing a 120 amp alternator would fix this? the current alternator is 75 amps. If not what should I do without breaking the bank
