  • Black sgts. always sing the best cadence.

  • do you need this class to become a army ranger?

  • @redarmy126 yes, its mandatory for ranger assignment or special forces.

  • @Spocktavian thanks

  • Ah, Ft. Benning is where all our wildest dreams come true. My 3rd jump was the best PLF ever. They dropped me over the woodline, and I never touched the ground.

  • That rigger was pretty awesome!

Man seems to love his job

  • OMG my husband is deff not doing this. !

  • @x0x0Dianex0x0 He'll love it! Maybe you should join the Airborne too.

  • The famous Fort Benning Alien FIREFIGHT 1977 !!! CSM James Norton witness !!! Research !!!

  • why do all these videos look like theyre from the 80s

  • Narrator: thats what it takes to be an airborne soldier

    Soldier: Aint that a bitch

  • @divinedvon lol was my favorite part of the video.

  • lol that rigger was cool as shit

  • Anyone recognize the narrator? It's George C. Scott...it's Patton!

  • I want that man packing my chute when I go to Jump school in 2013!

  • Hasn't changed much.

  • hahahha he didnt keep his feet and knees together. AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY!

  • @0:22

    "aint that a bitch"-

you know why? because you didnt keep your feet and knees together

  • i hear that they can call any of the riggers out at anytime to jump with a pack they did now that is deff how to make sure ppl do a good job

  • Here is the deal.......... this vid is about what I went through and many others to earn their wings. All the other arguing is Busllshit. Either YOU ARE AIRBORNE OR YOU A RE A LEG.

get it straight. Too many posers talking shit here. If u did NOT go through this school shut the fuck up. Airborne 86

  • That's back when the Army was squared away. Anybody see any fatties there? Nope.

  • My dad took me on a tour of this school when I was a kid. this is where he trained in the 1960s. I remember a soldier saluting my dad, my dad had a cap on with his wings and some kind of badge. It was cool to me st the time!

  • AINT THAT A BITCH....!!!!!

  • The Parachute(Airborne) Infantry Paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne are extremely well trained in raid, ambush, urban warfare, airfield seizure tactics and many more. Most of these 82nd Parachute(Airborne) Infantry guys are Ranger-qualified and or Pathfinder-qualified and or sniper-qualified and or Air Assault-qualified and many more. In their capabilities, the 82nd Airborne(Parachute) Infantrymen are just below the Rangers but way ahead of marine infantry.

  • When I went to the jump school , there were 4 marine recons, Two of the marines couldn't make it, because one marine couldn't keep up with the runs and another marine froze at the door of an airplane. The dropout rate at the marine boot camp is only11.7%(DoD statistics) and according to the jump school, the dropout rate is about 28%. So becoming a Paratrooper is a lot harder than becoming a marine.

  • @DumbHonkie1 You also remember that the qualities of jump school trainees are a lot higher than those of the raw recruits at the marine boot camp. The jump school trainees already went thru the basic and AIT training and among them you will find a lot of Special Forces,Ranger, Seals, marine recon trainees. Even so the dropout rate at the jump school is a much higher rate of about 28%, compared to the very low dropout rate of 11.7% at the marine boot camp'

  • @DumbHonkie1 The marine boot camp dropout rate(11.7%) is from the statistics of the Department of Defense. By the way the Army basic traning dropout rate is 13.6%. You didn't know that the Army's basic training dropout rate is higher than that of the marine boot camp.

  • Passing the jump school is the easiest part of being a Paratrooper. Thhe jump school teaches you how to jump out of a plane, nothing more. If you are physically in good shape and have no fear of heights, then you won't have any problem passing it. The real hard training starts when you get to your Airborne unit. The washout rate of 'cherries'(new jump school graduates) at an Airborne unit is very high. If you don't meet your Airborne unit's standards, you will be sent to a leg unit very fast.

  • That was so much damn fun xD

  • I loved jump school always liked everyone falling outta the morning runs lol.

  • italian army full of gays

  • Fuck jumping out of a perfectly good plane. I'd rather go Air Assault.

  • Ignore the haters Airborne. We are Brothers

  • Great video. I'm looking into joining the Army soon, and one of the MOS's that I was strongly considering was 38B, Civil Affairs. However I read that being airborne is a requirement. Why are CA's required to be airborne? Jumping out of airplanes really wasn't my idea, but I'll go through the school if I really have to. Thanks!

  • @TheNewt180 Dude airborne is fun. Its exciting.

  • damn,id love to be an airborne soldier. but im a woman. and im Italian.

  • @TheGinfizz66 then go to italian army, not USA army

  • @baryoul lol..USA owns italy!

  • Check out the Brits Elite 2 Para at "Parachute 2 Club", lots of photos of these elite troops, who provide most of the men for the Special Air Services SAS

  • Going in January, can't wait!

  • Also, how hard is it to pass Airborne training? (Physically?)

  • I'm curious about either Army Airborne or Marines. I'm terrible at push-ups (I can do maybe 32) though.....any advice about Airborne training or anything?

  • @Sniperhound4 u'll be okay. the first 2-4 weeks of BT will have you in great shape as long as you dont quit. after that u just gradually build strength and cardio but those first couple weeks'll be alot easier than ppl make it out to be. AIT is where the shit gets intense.

  • @513Scotchpagan Thanks man. I really appreciate it!

  • DO NOT BE A LEG! GOT MY WINGS IN 86. EARN IT, WORK FOR IT AND GET IT DONE TROOP............HOOAH

  • Bass if i was you i would go Army and go 82 nd Airborne since the 101 is now most Air Mobile

  • You don't have to be infantry to go airborne you just have to talk to your chain of command.

  • I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT MY BROTHER IS A TRUE PARATROOPER!!!! i AM TRULY PROUD OF HIM AND ALL THE OTHERS

  • 1:57sergeant airborne: "we teach the people how to exit the aircraft and to control their body at the time--"

volunteer in the background: "I WANNA BE AN AIRBORNE SOLDIER"

  • Went through in 97 before I went to the 2nd ID in Korea. Good times. We jumped from C130s back then.

  • How do you get in

  • @haloboyFNFAL You have to go to the army and sign up as a infantry and then talk to a represenitive to get you into airborne school

  • Do I really have to cut my hair? And why women don't have to aren't we so pose to be =

  • that cap was rudicolous

  • Are the PT requirements the same as the ones to pass Basic?

  • @guitarhamster102 AIT standards but they grade reallly tough, i just did my first jump yesterday and completed my second one today

  • @BadMoonRising92 what do you mean by grade really tough? I'm scared now =(

  • @guitarhamster102 the push ups for example....what could pass in basic or ait wont pass here, you have to do 42 PERFECT pushups, im talking flat as a board, i ended up doing 56, like 99% of everyone ends up having to do more than 42 because they make you do them perfect, the track is a mile long, twice around but the run is easy...if you get past the pt test then its all gravy after that. oh and they make you run evvverrrryyyyyyywhere you go. in boots, acu's, and helmet

  • the voice sounds like the guy from the movie PATTON

  • I got my wings in 86..............Hooah

  • @caddop22 i was in delta company in 86 =)

  • @mslatts68

Cool we probably saw each other. Did u get your wings?

  • @caddop22 yep got wings in jan of 87 we kept getting delayed because of wind on last jump went to 101rst so im only a 5 jump chump =) but i did to atleast go through air assult school.

  • @mslatts68

Good for you I am proud or you man, you will always be a brother. Remember that!

  • @fearcaptainamiley not entirely tru they don't allow just anyone their is only 1% of the total population that is able bodied its restricted from height weight as is army too the cut off for marines is 28 years old for army its 45 u have to have ur high school diplomat to even go to marine boot army they have basically a summer camp for those who r still in high school! Seriously they go during the summer and go back to high school afterwards till they graduate

  • @freepepsi42 pretty much they are dropping the numbers we have so its even harder just to stay in

  • 1000 "legs" in the world, but its only a few paratroopers. i say Hooah!

  • that rigger needs to be in a fuckin movie, he's a crack up

  • Have the airborne recently done anything? or do we not even use these guys?

  • Just found out yesterday the MOS I'm getting comes with Airborne training, I can't wait I'm so excited. I ship out November 22nd.

  • @Genacaust Whats your MOS ?

  • @YoungSteve17 I had a problem at meps so I have to pick a new mos and I no longer leave today. I go back to meps next week and I'm going to pick 11X and from what I hear I'll probably leave around April.

  • Worst school, it sucks bit needed to be done

  • @mxhonda450 no.... Ranger School is the worst school.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm irish and have been wanting to do something like this since I was very young is there anything that would stop me from joining the 101st airborne straight away if I went over to the US.

  • @XxTHEGAMERxX1 101st is not airborne. It's only "airborne" by name for historical reason. It's mainly air assault division now. They jump out of helicopters, not planes.

  • @guitarhamster102 thanks

  • @guitarhamster102 THANK YOU, IVE BEEN TELLING EVERYONE THT

AND BTW 82ND IS "airborne" tere is airborne, just 101 is air assault, so many fucking posers here

  • @iniguez2010 you can walk into a recruiting station and sign up.

You go to bootcamp, which has a 9% non-completion rate, and you are a Marine.

    Simple.

  • The narrator is definitely George C. Scott.

  • the guy who narrates this sounds like George C. Scott

  • you kno u do realize that the marines dont take anyone they only take so many the army has more open slots therefore they r more leniant and i have talked to many army guys their training isnt as intense yea im actually at jump school right now and its ewasy and no the marines also have air ops, marsoc, and angelco so if u want to talk shit kno ur facts

  • @iniguez2010 so basically it's like with the CF here. People your basically competing for a certain number of jobs, even if you meet the standards they want to take people who exceed it.

  • @TheArmyHATER wow dude your a fucking joke for a marine. you talk shit about the army but yet marines HAVE TO GO TO THE ARMY for airborne school, hell you even send guys to us for ranger school. my point is that all your shit talking about the army means jack cause we have better schools than you do so you send marines to learn what the army does. yeah you got force recon but are they a part of SOCOM? NO!marines only part in socom is to train allies and not even like army SF behind enemy lines.

  • FUKK DA BITCHAZZ ARMY!! THOSE MOTHERFUCKERZ ARE WEEK!!

ITS ALL ABOUT DA MARINES BITCHEZ!!!!

    SEMPER FI MOTHERFUCKERZ OOOORRAAAHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheArmyHATER You know how I know you couldn't qualify to get in the army? LOL

  • @TheArmyHATER Nice spelling. It's apparent the Marines take anybody these days.

  • @TheArmyHATER why on every fucking army video your ass is always talking shit about how the army suck and marines are better your a fucking idiot

  • @TheArmyHATER

Learn how to spell Marine, which you are not troll.

  • @TheArmyHATER yeah thats why the marines are the first guys to get killed

  • @TheArmyHATER I have seen boys such as yourself crying like little schoolgirls in Ranger School. You are a disgrace to the Corps, brother. Oh and remember that it was ARMY RANGERS that pulled out YOUR lost brothers out of Fallujah. Learn some respect for all branches, son.

  • November 1969 #64 USAF

  • For redsfan no marines don't get this training only army mainly for people wanting to be rangers but marines may be able to apply for this training

  • @bober19191 Marine DO get airborne training, I am one

  • you are a rabid dog dropped behind the lines, and treated like one. special ops do things quietly, paratroopers raise holy hell. do you wanna live forever.

  • @mudivydance wow... you do realize that army special operations is an airborne command.

  • Does anyone know if Marines going through airborne school train separately from the Army or together?

  • @redsfan293 It depends on what your job is. For this school at Fort Benning, if you get acceptted you will train with soldiers, sailers, airmen and marines. This video was filmed back when we all of us for the most part wore the BDUs. If you watch the more current films about this school you will see the different uniforms. Hope this helps.

  • @redsfan293 together

  • I was 1st 75th Airborne Ranger. RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!!!

  • wish i could do this, instead im doing paper work for the air force... ooah..

  • smell, sent me your email address and i will send you some photos of the 101 in 71

bea 175 @ charter tn net

  • smell, you are just another internet want to be and can kiss the ass of all us guys that have been there and know what it feels like to step into the door and jump. I earned my wing when the best part of you run down your mamma crack. 1971 the 101 wasn't all Air Mobile . Read your history if you can read.

  • @bea175 and ANOTHER THING, these guys are 507th -INFANTRY- training to become airborne, so if ur gonna say shit like "507th is airborne too blah blah" stfu

  • so special forces and regular army do the same course? or is everyone who does the airborne course special forces?

  • @walkertexasranger33 depends what kind of special forces, but special forces do have diffrent training than regular airborne paratroopers.

  • @OGLoneWolf1882 so are airborne just elite regiments as opposed to special operations regiments?

  • @walkertexasranger33 Special forces are the Green Beret, Seals, etc. airborne are infantry soilders who jump from a plane to the front lines rather than arrive by truck or marching. Sometimes, however the airborne is called upon to do missions that would be closer to special forces rather than regular infantry. Such as D-Day in WW2, the airborne landed on the beaches at midnight the night before the invasion. They landed behind enemy lines to disable AA guns, artillery, etc for a safer invasion.

  • @OGLoneWolf1882 KK thanks, I guess being airborne gives you the status of being more elite. Btw Seals are special operations, Green berets are special operation forces

  • My gosh I miss this. I went from 5th SFG(A) to a leg unit. I would give the army back the hazzard pay I got if they would let me jump with them again.

  • I will be 60 years old in a few days and i have nothing to prove or lie about. I was a Paratrooper in the 101st and will always have those memories . My typing error doesn't change the facts . I can remember Benning like it was yesterday.

  • @bea175 god bless you man, god bless all the troops of our great nation!!!!!!

  • @bea175

    Hooah and Airborne

  • @bea175 I agree, I am 68 and went through jump school at Ft Benning in November of 1963 and on to the 82n Abn at Fort Bragg. These are some of my fondest memories...even getting air sick on most every jump I was on. Over the years I longed to jump again, it was not until I found that I could take ginger root to keep from getting air sick did I jump again. When I turned 60, I went through the sky diving training and made 5 more jumps.

    Airborne all the way...

  • @bea175 hooorahhh!!

  • @bea175 well if you really were in the 101st I want to know that when I turn 18 I'm enlisting and I was wondering if I should go Army Airborne or Marine Corps any advice is appreciated

  • @bea175 also thank you for your service

  • Lean and mean. Rough and tough. All day. Every day. Airborne, ALL THE WAY!!

  • face book profile id=603295217 Bob Anderson

photos of jumps and in my dress greens in 1971

  • very sure .

  • the trolls have the right to post their foul comments because people like us stand guard at night across the world so they can have this right Airborne All the Way 101th

  • Comment removed

  • "Being Airborne is an honor not a right, there are a thousand legs out there, it you can't earn it you don't need to be here.

  • 9 people were the 10% who didnt make it

  • i thought he was about to says 10% wont make it

  • 落下傘部隊か?

    いいな~こういう訓練も!!

  • cOULD I JOIN THE ARMY NOW IM 14 YEARS OLD

  • 17 weeks

  • ODST

  • My friend just went to Ft. Benning just a couple weeks ago enlisting right out of highschool.

  • How many weeks is this training? Answers will be much appreciated, thanks!

  • @davidallenspears14 its 2 1/2 weeks long. im enlisted for 4 1/2 months basic then 2 1/2 weeks of airborn. ship out on sept 12.

  • @anglesofdeathawait Good luck, sir. Thank you for serving the country in the US military, and for answering my comment. I hope to one day follow in your foot steps.

  • @davidallenspears14 Three weeks. Ground week, tower week and jump week. At least that's the way it was for me.

  • That guy's hat looks so fucking goofy

  • @pr7820 Wrong video to leave your anti-American diatribe. Most of the people posting are current and former military who are used to whinners who have nothing to show for in their miserable lives. Your anger is the result of your self pity and jealousy, and you couldn't rationalize the truth if it bitch-slapped you in the face. You are just a poor ignorant bigot who uses America as his excuse for everything bad in his life.

  • We went through the jump tower and repel tower there for JCLC. It was great. Hooah.

  • @ChronicSilver88 You're right, anyone with common sense will tell you that it's really all mind. You can be a fatass and just out of a plane and land just fine. What then he said that it's all about body and not mind..No, That's just some bullshit the army fed him and he believed it. I'm an Army soldier myself and I can definitely tell you that alot of is mental. Seriously....it's mental.

  • Since when does the body control the mind, e.g.s ?

  • I am going into the US Army as a 92R parachute rigger 20120103

  • @TheMadSackboys

    Hey

Do a good job for us bro

    God bless

  • @TheMadSackboys Pay damn good attention during AIT, man. we lost a guy a few weeks ago because his chute wasn't packed right.

  • @ImAbomb

Oh I plan too, thanks for the concern.

  • @MarvelBC3MW3BEER I think as you get older, you will find out that what branch you served in is less relevant. We are all veterans who served our country, our constitution and our people. And NOBODY can take that away from us.

    US Army Security Agency

    1970-1976.

  • MY SISTER WAS PART OF 63RD NYSNG ENGINEERING BATTIOLN FIRST SENT IN TO NY AFTER 911,SHE THEN JOINED ACTIVE ARMY, 1 TOUR IN KOREA(IDK)(WAT ARMY DIV.) SHE KNOWS. SENCE THEN SHES BEEN APART OF OF THE 101ST, TWO TOURS IRAQ, AND NOW IN AFGHAN(OUT OF FT.CAMBLE KY/TN. SHE FLIES HOME IN OCTOBER WITH THE REST OF HER COMPANY. SHES A BAD BITCH THO, SHE SAID SHE SENN DUDES RUNNING ALONG THE ROOFTOPS , AFTER CURFEW. ONE BURST, TWO BURST, THREE ITS URS. BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM(50.)

  • I would think that your mind controls your body, not flipped around. It's your mind that tells your body to jump, and if you really don't want to jump, you probaly won't.

  • @BeezieMadden13 that makes sense. But when that sergeant said the body, not the mind is in control, he meant that in the "heat of the moment" when the adrenaline is flowing and your heart is at 200+ bpm, your cognitive ability is gone, and you can rely only on instinct, and what you have trained hundreds of times over

  • @BeezieMadden13

No the Jump Master tells you to jump and you will. That plane ride is a one way ticket. AIRBORNE!!

  • 9 people couldnt get though airborne school

  • @MarvelBC3MW3BEER Don't ever disrespect any part of the United States military, you're all in it together. They will do their job and you do yours.

  • i cant wait three more years and then its army for me! I'm gonna try to be airborne infantry and then a ranger. Wish me luck!

  • Damn im doin this shit some day

  • @pr7820 If history proves it then name one country that has beat the US in a straight up head to head fight.

  • Been there and done it. 101th Airborne 1970-1973.

  • @bea175 101th, um... its 101st dumb shit, i don't know if your lying now...

  • @smellmyclock

you where to busy giving blow jobs to have ever served

  • @bea175

    Thanks for your service Brother

  • @bea175 Are you sure you were Airborne? If you really were, you would know that it's 101st, not 101th.

  • Comment removed

  • @bea175 I believe it's 101st Airborne, screaming eagles, anyway, :)

  • @bea175 hey dumb ass, 101st is air assault, not airborn, 82nd is the ONLY airborne division, fuck ur a lying piece of shit
