What a great idea completly scewed up. I bought one of these and was imediatly struck by how cheap its put together. Wont stay on a channel, Constaint radio drift makes it immpossible to listen to the radio. Im sure there probably all made in China but there has to be a better product out there.....
@inkey2 I'll check that out as well, Thanks for the heads up. I will say, I actually used this radio (Voyager)for an emergancy broadcast, Just turned it to automatically come on if there was an emergancy. it did work. I stand by what I previously posted about it, But have to give credit as well. I think if your going to strickly use this as an emergancy radio, Its probably fine but dont try to use is as an all purpose everyday radio, It just will not hold up in my opinion.
I have a Voyager radio just like this that I received in 2008 for Christmas, but the solar power only seems to last about 15 minutes before I have to recrank the generator again plus the function to recharge my cell phone doesn't seem to work.
I have heard they may have had some issues with some older models. The solor will only trickle charge the batts so you will have to leave it in the light for a day or so.
I have a similar one. Regarding the often underestimated emergency LED, there's a great Frendo flashlight I'd like to recommend, called Dyna Led. It can be bought at Decathlon and although it's not a radio, it is a powerful wind-up light and one of its options is the SOS morse signal ---_ _ _--- flashing automatically in red when selected, which I find an awesome feature!!!.
Very nice! Mine has a crack, but I can't pick up much with it which makes it pretty useless to me. I think I will buy one of these. Thank you for the review!

@purdyquibb try the Sangean hand crank emergency radio.....less features but it sounds suprisingly good. I plan on doing a youtube review of it.
